We have just spent a couple of enjoyable days at Waterrow Touring Park during a very cold spell of weather.
Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome by the friendly wardens and plenty of information about the site. The site is in a lovely location, with a nice pub within easy walking distance, and buses that stop outside the site entrance.
All the facilities were housed in and around a large barn and were spotlessly clean and well thought out. Although there was no mobile phone signal at the site, we were told that this is in hand and should be up and running in the next few months.
The pitches were nicely laid out, well maintained and surrounded by trees and countryside.
We shall look forwards to visiting again in the future, thank you.

Congratulations jamie + lynette. We have just returned from an amazing 10 day holiday at waterrow a member of the tranquil touring park for adults only. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly nothing seemed to much trouble for them. We stayed on a fully serviced pitch slightly elevated and there were plenty of trees, beautiful flowers and hedges to give optimum privacy. The facilities inside the Barn were meticulously clean and included hand cream at the basins (luxurious touch ). The river tone meanders through the site and there are lovely walks for nature lovers. We took our german sheperd there ( His first caravanning holiday). He is eager to return as he loved the spring water, great walks and a fantastic dog field, although we could not get a mobile signal we were pleased as it did not interfere with the peace and tranquility of the site. We will return as this was indeed a little piece of paradise in a fast moving world. Other touring parks would do well to emulate Waterrow !

This is a well laid out, beautifully kept clean site. The facilities are excellent, very clean with plenty of hot water. The pitches are gravel and fairly level with well kept grass in between. Ideal for motorhomes.
For nature lovers there is woodland walk and the river Tone runs through the site and CCTV monitoring the nesting swallows in the barn.
There is a pub/restaurant within walking distance. We did not try it, but it is said to be good.
Well worth a visit if you want a well run peaceful adults only site at one with nature.

A very well maintained site with an excellent standard of facilities. Adult only and very tranquil, however there was road noise as the site is next to quite a busy road. This may be less of a problem if your on the other side of the site.
Unfortunately the local pub was closed when we visited due to staff holidays and there isn't any other amenities within walking distance.
It was also quite pricey considering the location

An amazing experience! We spent 2 blissful weeks at this little paradise and it was fantastic: probably the best site we have ever stayed at.
Warmly welcomed on arrival. All pitches level and many are fully serviced. There is plenty of foliage to screen you from other guests giving plenty of privacy. The site is adult only and was so wonderfully peaceful; often the only sounds were birdsong and the occasional bleat and moo from neighbouring sheep and cattle.
The facilities covered all needs and included a freezer, microwave, coffee machine and payphone (no mobile reception but WiFi is available) as well as spotlessly clean showers and toilets. The handcream at the handwash basins was a nice touch.
There is spring water on tap which is safe to drink and if you like to see wild birds, there are plenty here, including swallows nesting and feeding their young in the barn (we were so lucky to see them during our stay).
This site is well situated with easy access to the north and south coasts, Exmoor and many local attractions. Alternatively, you may just wish to sit outside your unit and totally relax!
We loved it here and cannot wait to return. Unreservedly recommended!

We have just got back from a 10 day tour of Somerset and Devon, which we started at this wonderful site, Waterrow Touring Park. The owners Lynette and Jamie really are great hosts and keep the park and its facilities in very nice order.
When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Lynette and were given a choice of pitches, we picked one by the woodland walk near the river and upgraded to a fully serviced pitch as we had all the gear. Setting up was easy as the water supply and grey waste are located in the bottom left corner of the pitch.
The facilities inside the Barn are spotless and included everything you would ever need during your stay. We really liked the photo board which gives a full history of the park. We also liked the Swift cam which showed the comings and goings of the nesting birds, it’s on top of the freezer.
We could not get a mobile phone signal, but the free WiFi is very good so we used Skype.
Wiviliscombe is a nice village with some good shops, the local pub The Rock has mixed reviews and that was our experience, good food, not so good service, but it is within walking distance.
Will we return again, yes without a doubt? Waterrow is a great touring park which is well laid out in a beautiful location and is run by two very friendly and helpful people and that’s what really counts.

Member of the Tranquil Touring Parks Group and adults only. Jamie and Lynette Cook took over the Park at the end of 2013 and are now into their second full year. We received a very friendly welcome from Lynette when we arrived for our 11 day stay and were shown a selection of fully serviced pitches to choose from. Both Lynette & Jamie always had a friendly word and kept the facilities very clean. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and the Park was one of the most pleasant places we have stayed on in over 30 years of caravanning. We wish them all the very best for the future.
There are many walks direct from the site including their own woodland walk along the River Tone. The views to the hills from your pitch are magnificent and you feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A wonderful place to relax. There are small supermarkets (Spar & Co-Op) in Wiveliscombe, 3 miles away, for provisions. There is a local pub, The Rock Inn, a short walk away which has a good reputation for food.
The only downside (for some people, not us!) is the lack of mobile signal. However, the site does have a good wifi connection (paid for). TV signal is poor but there are connections on the pitch so a co-ax cable will be required.
We definitely hope this will not be our last visit.

Fantastic site, friendly owners who made us very welcome. Showers & toilets were really clean and warm with added touches of flowers and even air fresheners in each toilet. We will definitely return again this year as the surroundings are stunning with plenty of walks. The only downfall was that the local pub was closed for refurbishment, however we had a fantastic Valentine meal at The White Hart in Wiverliscombe. Great location, great people, great all round. Just our type of site, well done Jamie and Lynette and best wishes for the coming months with your additional fully serviced pitches.

We stayed on this site over the New Year. The site is in a lovely location, although quite isolated (3m from nearest shop). Upon arrival we were shown to our pitch which backed onto wood & river below (far below, so no danger of flooding). The pitch did not have a tv hookup but the next one did & our cable would not reach, the warden then offered us a longer one which I thought we would borrow, but no he charged us £15 to buy it. I did ask if we could move pitches but there was no answer so I assumed that they must be full. At the end of the week one other motorhome took the pitch next to us for one night only, so I was very disappointed to have the extra financial outlay when I feel we could have moved before we had set everything up (i. E awning). I also asked if I could buy some milk, but they didn't have a supply as such, but offered me a 4pt bottle. They said they don't keep food supplies at that time of yr. I accept that they wouldn't want to stock up on everything but surely knowing that they had bookings & the nearest shops are 3m away, they could at least carry some essential, bread, butter, milk etc. I'm not sure that I would rate this as a 5* site as I felt the shower & cleaning areas were a bit dated, although very clean and it lacked a personal cleaning cubicle for ladies. The local pub just down the road was very popular & on our only visit there we were quite happy with the food. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it is lovely & peaceful, the dog walk is very good & we managed to do a lot of walking, thanks to the weather, we thought the area was lovely, but feel it is unlikely that we would return mainly due to the fact that it is a bit too remote for us.

What a gem of a site, can only make positive review feedback. Greeted by Jamie and Lynette on arrival whom were very helpful throughout our stay, always around working to keep everything up together. Pitch was great, near the river so easy to excercise our dog, needed hammer for awning pegs(rubber mallet not enough). All facilities in the barn were spotless, many nice little touches(umbrella stand, magazines, washing up cloth).
Nice walks around the local lanes, Rock Pub serves excellent food and walking distance. Also had lovely river walk from Tarr Steps nearby.
Not one for going to the same place twice, but may make an exception with Waterrow.
