A very helpful welcome to the site and we were quickly booked in.
We were shown to our pitch, which was very well presented and tidy. The campsite was quiet, peaceful and very well maintained with lovely walks all around.
The facilities were very clean and of a good standard. As there is absolutely no mobile service were decided to pay for the wireless internet access but this seemed to be a little erratic and sadly the reception on our pitch was poor.
The pub down the road was lovely but you must book as it gets very busy and remember it doesn't open until 6.
We had a lovely weekend in the sunshine there but only go if you are wanting a complete wind down.

We stayed for a few nights as a welcome break from recent pressures and this lovely tranquil site was ideal. It is very peaceful and pretty - the owners take pride in the lovely landscaping. The facilities in the barn were very good. We had the bonus of watching a swallow family fledge from their nest in the roof - the owners had installed a camera at the nest which was relayed to a screen in the barn. There is a bus stop outside the site with a good bus service to Taunton and Dulverton. There are great walks from the site too, although we found some of them rather muddy due to the wet summer. A very pleasant stay.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely site. Situated in a valley with the river Tone running through the bottom of the site, it is a great place just to relax and listen to the birds in the surrounding woods.
Approached the site from the south with no access issues, and was greeted by a friendly and efficient warden who showed us to our pitch.
Reception contains a small shop which opens twice daily, and papers can be ordered for the weekend.
All pitches are hard standing (some fully serviced), spacious and level, with great views of the surrounding countryside.
The immaculate Shower / Toilet facilities are housed in a barn, as is a washing machine, tumble drier, food prep and dish washing areas.
Also in the barn is public payphone (no mobile signal on site), information guides on surrounding area, book swap facility and a CCTV screen showing the swallows' nest elsewhere in the barn.
Some of the local attractions we visited were Grand Western Canal (Tiverton), West Somerset Railway (Bishops Lydyeard), Wimbleball Reservoir.
Supermarket, Fish & Chips, Chinese Takeaway etc. In Wiveliscombe (3 miles), although we preferred the Fish & Chips in Bampton (5 miles)
Had occasional WiFi issues during our stay - but who cares, you're on holiday!
To summarise - a peaceful, friendly and well looked after site. We'll be back.

Fab site! We found this site when desperately looking to relocate whilst away.
The owners were friendly & helpful, from first contact by telephone, finding us a pitch (even on a bank holiday weekend) & allowing us to arrive late.
The site is beautiful, in peaceful woodland surroundings, with a gurgling river the only sound.
Despite arriving after the office had closed, we were still given site info & directions around the facilities, which were heated, spacious & comfortable.
Waterrow is a real credit to the owners' hard work.

Had a long weekend break here in the beautiful March sunshine.
A very pleasant site; although close to the road very quiet and with lovely walks by the river which runs through the valley below the site.
The site owners were very pleasant and helpful and one of the staff took the time to point out some local wildlife to look out for. The many Buzzards were a constant feature of our stay, soaring in numbers as soon as the day warmed up.
The facilities were very good with an unusual toilet and shower block; a building within a building. Very warm, clean and tidy.
The location is a little remote, the only place within walking distance being the Rock Inn, a pleasant pub serving good food. The walk to the pub is along a road with no pavement for much of the way but it is a matter of only about 500 yards in total.
Dog walking is in a field which also leads to some of the walks available nearby. These also offer a slightly longer but safer route to the pub.
A very pleasant site overall for a quiet stay.

A lovely adults only touring park situated just outside the small Town of Wiveliscombe. You'll be assured of a warm welcome from the owners Tony and Anne. The site is well kept with hard standings for both caravans and motorhomes and there is also an area for tents. The toilets and showers are immaculately kept and have underfloor heating, which is a bonus on a cold morning. The local pub is a short walk from the site and serves good food. A lovely river walk is at the bottom of the site and there are excellent dog walking facilities. The site is open all year and is a great base for touring Exmoor and the local area. There are also storage facilities. We will be back.

We arrived at this site after a bad experience at another. Thankfully they had room for us. Lovely people running the site, helpful and friendly. The site itself was beautiful, in complete contrast from the one we had left that morning. Spacious pitches, well placed, so good privacy. Clean, warm barn with excellent toilet and shower facilities. Lovely views. Good sized field adjoining to exercise dogs, plus pretty river walk. Excellent pub, The Rock, short walk away, with roaring fire, good food and atmosphere. Will definitely go back to this site.

We have just returned from a weekend stay at Waterrow, feeling very relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.
Toilets and showers are well kept and immaculately clean. The pitch we were on backed onto the woods and we had a lovely view of the river.
Great spot for birdwatching and even stargazing, fabulously clear night last night - we had our heads stuck out of our caravan sun roof!
Dog walk field is safely enclosed so no fears of them escaping, this leads down to a lovely river walk.
10 minute drive into Wiveliscombe - has all you need to stock up and several take aways.
Will definitely be returning!

The site is very well maintained and the bathroom facilities were very clean and tidy. There are a lot of nice little touches that can easily go un-noticed, like hand-soap, sponges, mops, book exchange lots of local information, etc, etc.
There is an interesting collection of photographs showing how the site has developed through the years, and I think this helps to show how the owners must have worked hard to get to the current high standard.
There is plenty of dog walking directly from the site and the dog walk on the site is plenty long enough for their late night tinkle before bed!
The pitches were a fine size for me in the camper but possibly for those with a large awning it might be a bit of a tight fit.
At £16 a night in off-season, it was a touch more than I would have liked to pay.
The road noise was noticeable and for me was a downside, but this may have been because given it's winter a lot of the leaves were off the trees and they might have helped to shield it a little.
The pub was a short stroll and served good beer. Food was a bit pricey, but looked nice.
A good site that is worth a visit.

Lovely peaceful site almost literally in the middle of nowhere. Facilities are spotlessly clean and definitely worthy of 5 stars. Stayed on a fully serviced pitch plenty big enough for caravan and awning and complete with electric, water, grey waste and television booster point. Superb site but a bit too quiet for us, walked to the nearby pub just after 3. 00pm to find it shuts at, yes you guessed 3. 00pm!. Turned left out of site and drove to Dunster but still couldn't get a pint, ended up in Tiverton. My fault cause on Saturday turned right out of site and drove to Wiveliscombe town centre (about 3 miles then left at traffic lights). Excellent supermarket, two pubs, indian and chinese take aways. Would highly recommend the site for peace and quiet and don't bother trying to get a signal on your mobile phone. We had two phones, two different network providers but no signal.
