This was our first visit to Brokerswood and an opportunity to try out our new awning. There are too few all-year sites around Wiltshire. The wide paths through the woods were very wet under foot, not surprising as we had had some seriously heavy rain, but the huge amount of leaves made for a great walk in our wellies.
Our four children (aged 5-10) loved it, and all are now proficient at the Ariel runway and the many climbing frames. Finding the 2nd adventure playground was fantastic.
The large shower areas, clean toilets, flat site with good drainage around the vans and friendly staff all made for a great weekend break.
The cafe was a great place to stop after the walk, but the food was a little pricey for what it was.
We will go again, mainly because its 40 mins from home and a good place for a weekend, not sure there's enough to do for a whole week though.

This was our third visit and we love this park. All flat pitches loads of room even for our Nebraska XXL. Other campers are always friendly and kind. The new shower block is opened and is very nice 3 showers, toilets and 2 cubicles with basins in a wonderful family bathroom, full size bath, shower and toilet. Little stepping stool for children bath supports for baby. All facilities clean and tidy only downside is you have to pay a £2 non refundable deposit for key to family bathroom, this was for half an hour, but worth it. Our boys love the country park and can spend hours wandering around and in the play area. Cost £26 per night for five of us with EHU we think it is worth every penny. A great site to visit Longleat and Wookey Hole

Just returned from 4 nights at Brockerswood. We had three serviced camping pitches next to each other. All three families had a great time at Brockerswood, we have children aged from 2 to 14 in our group and all of them enjoyed the site. The adventure playground and train and great fun and the fishing lake also offered some good fishing. As we have a large family with 4 children we found the family bathroom a great facility, although there is a charge of £2 per half hour for this. The new toilet block is very good and kept spotlessly clean. The Kicking Donkey is also worth a try, only about 10 minutes walk from the site. Don't miss the Thatchers cider!. One of the best sites we have been to, and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful site. Must mention though the instructions as to how to get to it safely with a caravan were difficult to understand, and the brown campsite signs disappeared right at the last minute and caused a little more stress than we needed. Once on site, it was a well maintained, comfortable site, despite the terrible rain we brought with us. Toilet and shower block was brand new with code locks on the door, which could have caused a problem if caught short and forgotten the code! However, they were the cleanest loos we have seen ever. Small site, but well worth a visit. Did have a couple of nice pubs within driving distance, but nothing within walking distance that we could find.

I have to say the power of advertising was in full effect at this place. I will start by saying that we did have a nice time and the woods although I was expecting more was just the right size for us as a family with a toddler. I would recommend though for older children that it may not excite as much. My main complaint with this place was the price, so far it has been the most expensive at £24 a night and so far the worst. The price includes 2 children however having an under 3 we wouldn't normal have to pay for her so for a couple this is alot especially when they charged for our dog on top! We were the pitch right next to the toilet block which are very well presented and clean but the smell was awful and so we spent alot of the time enclosed in our little camper as bacon and *!** don't really go! The other comment is the codes, not just one but four, this was idiotic and I could not understand their reasons for this. By 9am on the Sunday morning all the loo roll had gone and I wouldn't have minded so much if I had 1. Not paid so much and 2. Had this situation before in other sites we have stayed in. The shop also did not sell newspapers, you could request them but I thought this was a bit cheap of them and going away for a break a nice newspaper to read would have been lovely whilst we relaxed. In all I would not go again because of the price and may not be moaning so much on this site if we had felt we got value for our money. If you do go however the map is wrong so keep your eyes open for the signs that are meant to be everywhere! If it is a wet weekend then there will be lots of mud too so do not go with out wellies.

Having just returned from a week staying at Brokerswood Country Park we felt we had to write and say what a fantastic time the whole family have had. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful at all times even when my husband ran out gas late at night!
The new shower and loo block are the best we have ever encountered. They catered for our 2 young children with family bathrooms and laundry was real bonus. They are immaculate.
It's great to have a country park with so much for the kids to enjoy. There is loads to do in the area and the discounted Longleat tickets available from the Park shop was real help. Highly recommended.

The country park is great, our kids enjoyed the woodland walks and the adventure playgrounds. The miniature train ride through the woods is good you have to pay extra for this. The campsite was a little disappointing, it looks great for tents but if you are taking a caravan be prepared to admire the grass from a distance! most of the caravan pitches are hard standing but then so is most of the ground around your pitch, we pushed are van right back almost into the trees to try and get a little grass for this kids to play on. The toilet block is more than adequate and there is a new one under construction as well. Overall a good weekend away but would probably not return because of hard standing - like camping and a car park.

Visited at Easter, site full but pleasant. Only down side to this was the amount of toilet / showers, but I understand that a new block was being built. Very lovely woodland site, plenty of walking and things for the kids to do. Only a few minutes away from Longleat, a little further Stonhenge. I would return to this site and would recommend to others.

Stayed here for 9 nights with my wife and two children. On arrival at the site we were greeted by the site manager who was extremely helpful and welcoming., and continued to be so throughout our stay. We were shown to our pitch which was more than big enough for our Outwell Nebraska XL.
With full access into the country park this makes an ideal stay for families. The setting more than met our expectations, with several play areas, woodland walks and a lake with many ducks, our three year old was in heaven.
Our stay included two weekends. On the second weekend the site was full which highlighted the problems with the toilet facilities (only 2 showers per gender). However the new shower block is well on its way to completion, and looks like it will compete with any toilet/shower block we have seen.
With a well stocked shop and a central location for many attractions for children and adults I would recommend this site, even with its temporary inadequate toilet/shower facilities, to anybody.
We will be back!

Just returned from a week at Brokerswood Country Park and had a very enjoyable stay. Due to the very poor weather at the start of the week the whole park became VERY muddy and wellies were needed for anywhere you went! Although we did not use the showers and toilets the friends we were with did and they were quite disappointed with the facilities and felt the campsite information leaflet had mislead them into thinking they would be open. The play areas were a great hit with the seven children in our party and they enjoyed the "Lolly Pop hunt" on the Sunday morning. The train takes you through the beautiful woods which you can also walk (with wellies!). The nature trail was very interesting and the children were kept amused by the various play areas en-route. Overall this is a beautiful site and with the right weather and the new facilities we will definitely be returning.
