We stayed at this campsite for 5 nights in June. We loved it and would totally recommend it. It was the first time we had taken our little boy camping and we turned up to find a train play frame right in the middle of the site - my word he was happy! 2 fabulous play areas for little and bigger children as well. There is also an adventure trail to an adventure park in the the woods with slides and climbing/ balancing and a zip wire. (Clearly we all had fun on the zip wire).
The shop wasn't cheap, but don't think I've ever been to a shop on a campsite that was cheap, so when my blow up bed got a hole in it we drove 10 minutes to Tesco and got a new one! The people who worked at the site were lovely. The owner was really helpful and the cleaner was so much fun, my son absolutely adored her. When it got chilly she even turned the heating up for us in the toilets. The toilets were very clean and well maintained. There is also a family bathroom with a power shower, bath, toilet and sink available for £2 for half an hour, which was a blessing for us as my little boy isn't keen on showers. It was equipped with everything for bathing small children, even a step to reach the sink for tooth brushing. In the main ladies toilet there is a low sink, the perfect height for little people.
Alan runs the train and although we were gutted it only ran at the weekend, we understood why, so we made a special effort to go for a ride on it on Saturday. Alan is also the chef in the chippy and makes a mean sausage and chips!
Brick built bbq's overlook the lake too. A butterfly garden, herb garden and a lovely shed full of information of what to do nearby and directions to some of those places. Longleat is about 10 minutes away. It's just lovely.
All in all our stay was brilliant. We would 100% go again and recommend it to others. For all those geocachers out there, there is also a cache very close by!

A quick phone call and it was booked for the 1st june 2013, pitch 48 - very very easy. The post code for the satnav took me straight to the front gates, via 3 great pubs. The Bell, The Full Moon and the Kicking Donkey.
Once there it was easy to check in and find the plot via a very comprehensive site pack. The ladies on the reception friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome straight away.
The site was busy, but that said it felt like there was plenty of room on the 10 metre pitch and it didn't feel crowded at all. Overall there is loads of room to drive, park, pitch and relax !
The toilet / shower area was modern, clean and just the job. Yes it might get busy when full - but either get there first or wait a bit until its empty - there are 5 showers in two blocks for the men and I imagine the same for the ladies -remember your camping and relaxing - not doing the 0755 train dash to work !
As its part of the nearby woodland it makes an ideal family camp. We had great fun taking a walk around the lakes and checking out the activity trails there were laid out. The reception area doubles as a shop and cafe - just the job for a break from cooking.
10/10 and I will be booking again soon for the summer holidays - cant wait !
It was also an absolute pleasure to hear the dawn chorus this morning - you cant buy that anywhere except the middle of nowhere !

We enjoyed the park loads. Staff very friendly. The shower and loos were clean with hot water aplenty. The other campers were great company. It was our first camping holiday and it was a great site to learn. Also with cctv and electric gates it felt safe. The site itself is near Bath, Longleat and Westbury Whitehorse and Chippenham of course. The site has a big lake for fishing I believe and a great zip wire for kids and mums.

We have just come back from a week at this campsite, despite the freezing weather, we donned the wellies and had numerous walks in the surrounding woods. These were full of play trails and play parks and lots of trees to climb, my 10 year old boy and 12 year old girl had a fab time. There is a fishing lake but it was a bit cold for that. The showers were clean and water lovely and hot. It has a shop and small cafe. There are quite a few pubs dotted around and at least one within walking distance. There are some great local attractions including Longleat which is about 6 miles away, Bath is about 15 miles and we also went to a lovely village called Bradford on Avon with a working lock and canal which was great for the kids to see. We had a fab time here and would definitely come back

We arrived on a Sunday following a night of torrential rain and the roads leading to the site were covered with fast flowing water so we were expecting a rather soggy campsite. The welcome on arrival was very friendly and helpful and we also received a very informative information pack. The grass pitches were very wet but there were plenty of all weather and gravel pitches that were well drained. As we never really need to use electric on short trips, we were pleased to be able to reduce our cost by not having to pay for electric.
Toilet and shower facilities were very clean and warm and water hot. The motorhome service point and WC disposal unit were well positioned and easy to use. Recycling bins were available and well labelled so we were rather surprised at the number of campers that just dumped bags of rubbish rather than dispose of items in the appropriate bins.
The Country Park cafe was close by and served nice meals. They provided a few convenience items in the shop which was handy if you had forgotten anything as the nearest shop was 10-15 min drive away.
The real plus for this site are the walks and children's play areas in the woods and the train that runs during the summer and the seclusion. We will be returning in the spring to see the bluebells - cant wait.

We have just come home from a fantastic 6 day holiday! We based ourselves at Brokerswood. A gorgeous campsite set in a lovely area and a good central point for local attractions.
Good points -
Lovely site
Fantastic for the kids (4, 11, and 15) lots of play areas and assault courses, we made up challenges for our older lads to make it more for their age.
A little train can take you from one play area to the other - cost £1 per person doesn't seem a lot but £5 a day does mount up, I personally think this should be free to campers and just charge for daily visitors.
Clean shower/washing area
Good central point for days out
Down points -
Shop is expensive so make sure you don;t forget anything before you leave. We needed to buy some more campinggaz cartridges at Tesco they are £2. 50 from the reception (for the same size) £7. 59!
Staff couldn't really help me with any recommendations around the area and seem to rely on the little information hut where all the leaflets are kept. I asked them if there were any nice walks in the area they said they were not sure due to the country lanes but couldn't offer any alternatives and just said the pub. So I would say do your homework of places to go before you arrive.
Places we went -
Stonehenge - loved it but this is my thing, for 5 of us it was about £20. 50 you just walk around it and then go but you can sit have a natter you don't need to just walk around and then go straight away. (about half hour drive away)
Salisbury - Wanted to go to see Salisbury cathedral, we were limited money wise and it was £32. 50 for all 5 of usto go and look so we just walked around the outsite of it but still had a lovely time just a shame they charge so much to go inside, I understand its for the upkeep but just thought its a bit pricey. Still had a lovely day though so not complaining at all.
Glastonbury - loved it here too! really nice place to have a walk around and a coffee, the staff in the shops were lovely very friendly.
Bath - lovely place to walk around, for some reason I though it had a few ruins to walk around though which it didn't. Again very pricey though! to go in the Roman Baths it was £9. 50 each do again didn't go in, the abbey was only £2. 50 each. Had a lovely day but expected more to be honest.
Longleat safari park - the best day ever! we all absolutely loved it! fantastic for all the family! they have a safari which you can drive around ( you have the option to drive through the money area or to bypass it due to the damage they can do to your car). We decided to go in and it was fab, luckily our car didn't get damaged, we hada monkey sit on our bonnet as we were going aroung which the kids though was hilarious. They have various sections in the park where you can hold animals, watch shows, have a go on the assault course, and the maze - which is a must you have to do this is was fab!
We paid for the all in one 1 day pass if you pay on the day it was £130 but we did it on line which worked out as £110, you have to do this a minimum of 24 hours before though. Sounds pricey but well worth it it gets you into all of the attractions including the house which was amazing!
I would say that it is a shame that they charge for absolutely everything in this area though. On previous camping holidays we have been able to go and look at old ruins have a walk around them for free but you have to pay to see everything unless your an english heritage member which I am seriously considering doing seen as we go camping quite a lot. Maybe we weren't looking in the right places but that is just how we found it.
We are hoping to go back to this campsite again next year as we all loved it! well worth it would highly recommend here

Visited third week of August for a three night stay. X2 adults and x2 young children. We were a bit confused as were given what looked like a hard standing pitch, but after trying to pitch the tent on the grass next to it were told by the bloke on the golf buggy that it was an 'all weather pitch' This was OK as we had a couple of heavy rain showers and the water drained well, but gravel under you tent is unkind on you feet and not very comfortable for the kids to sit on in the main tent compartment! Would definitely not pitch on one again! We weren't aware of this when booking.
The road around the campsite was full of pot holes and consequently water when it rains.
The shower/toilet facilities were average, not enough facilities in general for the full campsite especially washing up area (x3 sinks crammed in a small area, no elbow room! constantly had to queue for this which was annoying. The shower toilets were average cleanliness, only attacked once a day which in muddy weather was not enough-my husband had the misfortune one morning of going to the showers to find faeces had been smeared all over the cubicle-discusting to say the least.
We wanted to use the family bathroom for the babies, but this was locked and as the shop closes so early we had to leave it until the next day to enquire-ended up giving this a miss as it has to be booked in half hourly slots and costs Two pounds! a) didn't ant to tie ourselves down to a time as we were on holiday and b) paying a premium because we have young kids?! Haven't experienced this anywhere else.
The on site shop when it is open has limited over priced stock, the staff struggle to smile or make conversation in there, so avoid.
Train ride into the woods was great for the kids, but expensive if you wanted to go on it every day-this should be free for guests staying on site.
Local area was pleasant, great location for Longleat which was a brilliant day out. Local shops are a short drive away, the site had an information hut which was useful.
X2 local pubs, didn't go in, but looked OK.
Site had nice play equipment for the kids and had the weather been nicer we would have made more use of it.
An OK campsite, depending on what you wanted it for. We personally wouldn't go again having visited much cheaper but nicer sites this year.

Sites fine but more could be done to improve roads through site which are full of pot holes. Toilets fine clean as could be expected in the rain and I always had hot water.
Park great, but big bug bear staff have forgotten how to smile I know it was pouring down but it wouldn't hurt you to say hello or even smile when passing!
Only found minor noise from road and the country lane leading to it is fine. The park would suit all kids of all ages.

We stayed here for one night on a spur of the moment trip. My husband phoned to book a pitch and found the staff to be very helpful.
We had a hard standing next to a grass area where we pitched a small tent for our two children. We were away from the road, and hedging separated us from our neighbouring pitches.
The toilet block was very clean, with several showers and cubicled wash basins, with baby changing facilities. Hair dryers were available for 20p coin. Not that I used this.
The country park provided my children with a most enjoyable evening, playing on the play trail especially the zip wire. It was very muddy, wellies required but this did not stop our fun. We watched squirrels, saw a heron on the lake.
We went to Caen Hill locks the following day, and spotted a kingfisher fishing! Well worth a visit
Our overall experience at this campsite was fantastic!

Stayed for 2 nights before moving on to Devon. Plenty of info on arrival. Good sized pitch with grassed area adjacent. Some of the hardstanding for motorhomes does resemble a parking area.
Decent shower/toilet & washing up area.
Information Hut.
Kicking donkey Pub 5-10 mins walk away with nIce seating outside & dogs allowed in bar area.
Only negative is that the park/wooded area is very wet and boggy so be prepared and take your wellies & dog towels.
