Stayed here for two nights:
Booked over the phone 3 weeks before and got the last two pitches for the Friday and Saturday night.
Arrived at 12pm.
Nice site but pitches very close together which I didn't feel comfortable with. They had plenty of room infront of them but width wise weren't big enough for a tent and a car.
Toilet facilities very clean, basic but well kept however we were at the end of the site pitch T5 and it is quite a hike to the loo block, dishwashing facilities.
Site very quiet but there was some road noise, all campers seemed to respect the 11 pm no noise rule which was lovely. Lots of nice families all enjoying themselves.
Nice country park, two decent playareas, nice walk around the pond.
Small shop and cafe for campers and day visitors.
All in all a nice weekend break, we never left the campsite, but if we were to go for longer it would be an excellent base for all that Wiltshire has on offer.

Before arriving, we were a little worried that this site was more for caravans than for tents, but it turned out to be the other way around (at least when we were there).
Pitches are nice and large so even if the site is full, you should not have any space issues, nor feel as though everyone is on top of you.
The facilities are the best you will find anywhere. There are two shower/toilet blocks - old and new - but even the old blocks are better than you will find at most other sites.
If you want an easy introduction to camping, this site is definitely highly recommended.
For a great day out, head to Bradford-on-Avon and walk down by the canal to the tithe barn. Beautiful! With plenty of pubs to choose from, too.
The only niggle we had with the site was that the narrow gauge railway wasn't running. Something that our 5 year old was very disappointed about (and quite rightly so).

This is a great site, we camped here for a long weekend in May.
It's situated in a Country Park with acres of beautiful woods to walk in, a lake and plenty of children's play areas, also a little train which takes you on a short ride through the woods.
The check-in process was quick and easy with friendly welcoming staff. The campsite was nice and flat, mainly grass, with some hard standing pitches for caravans. All pitches are a good sized & most have EHU available. Also a water tap never seemed to be far away.
The shower block is bright and modern, with powerful showers. I was pleasantly surprised to find there was no annoying timer button to keep pressing every minute. It also had some separate private wash basin cubicles. 20p to use the hairdryer. The block is cleaned regularly and we never had to queue. The only negative point was the lights run on a sensor so difficulties when showering or using the loos being stuck in the pitch black.
There is a small shop which stocks essentials, toys & gifts. There is also a cafe which serve cooked breakfast and light lunches etc.
All in all a very relaxing weekend with our two young children, plenty to keep everyone happy.

We booked this campsite as it was close to Lacock and we wanted to do the scarecrow trail. It was very clean, quiet and friendly.
Pitches were great for our tent but looked like they may be a bit small for some of the hard standings for caravans, however it was bank holiday and it was pretty full.
Showers were always hot clean and powerful (especially the ones at the back) Shop had everything you could possibly want and the kids really enjoyed the woods and the trails as did the dogs.
Nice that dogs weren't restricted at all to where you could take them and poo bin available.
Kicking Donkey pub did nice home made food and is in walking distance down the quiet lane.
There is a road down one side of the campsite but it is only a lane and not much traffic.

I have just returned from this site having spent 3 fab days with my wife and 1 year old.
This site is fantastic for families for all ranges of kids.
Due to availability (but mostly our late booking) we spent our first 2 nights on a grass pitch with hookup and the last on a non hook up pitch. The pitch was generally level some adjustment with chocks was necessary.
The site itself is amazing with a calm relaxing atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful.
The facilities are amongst the cleanest I have experienced including proper showers rather than the frustrating push button type.
There was also lots of woodlands to explore in the country park attached to the site including adventure playgrounds which were a little too advanced for my daughter this time but looked like great fun.
Off site we ventured into Bath which was only about 20min from site tops.
Only minor niggle was the fairly limited supply of food basics at the site shop. We got caught out and the supply available was a little limiting.
We shall be heading back next year for another mini break.

This is probably the best campsite we have ever been to, in fact we will shortly be making our 4th visit. The camping field is very flat, mainly grass, with some hard standing pitches for caravans. All pitches are generously sized & most have 10v hook-up available.
The shower block is modern, with some separate private washbasin cubicles. The block is cleaned regularly.
There is a small shop which stocks essentials, toys & gifts. There is also a cafe which serve cooked breakfast including a veggie version. YAY! All staff are very welcoming & will help in any way. The site is part of a country park & your pitch booking allows free access. The park is mainly woodland with two fantastic play areas which both have zip slides. We take walkie-talkies & let the kids explore independently. There is a fishing lake so younger children would need to be supervised & a miniature railway which runs in school holidays & at weekends.
We also go mini-beast hunting, tracking & build dens in the woods. The site has strong eco principles & you are actively encouraged to recycle rubbish. The only downside would be that it's not the cheapest site, but when you consider that you get access to the park, it's not too bad.
1o mins walk away is a brilliant pub called the Kicking Donkey which serves excellent food & drink. Try the local, lethal cider! There is a beergarden with a play area too.
Site is also near Longleat & discounted entrance tickets can be bought from site reception.
Would highly recommend this site

Signposted really well, easy access to the site. The site is well presented in lovely surroundings, I would have to give the toilet block, A1 the best I have seen. There are plenty of walks about, even the lanes are pretty quiet, the Kicking Donkey and garden centre are just down the lane about 15 mins stroll. Plenty for children to do. We didn't have children with us, but didn't feel disturbed by them, and usually the day visitors have gone by 4pm. We did go out of season so don't know what it would be like in summer or holidays, although we did go for the weekend and didn't feel like we were in the middle of a playground. We would definitely go there again and hopefully take the dogs. It was very good value for money.

Stayed over Feb half term. We had asked owners to arrange two adjacent pitches which they did and were just as friendly and helpful on arrival at site.
Facilities were clean and warm, despite the muddy footpaths. This is a country park, and would not expect anything else than mud and especially in February. It is not a big issue but pack some wellies.
Kids enjoyed two larger parks and also the smaller one undercover.
Site seemed perfectly safe, especially behind the pin code controlled barrier.
Will be returning again.

This is my third visit to this site, first visit was in October 2008 in the CL pitches in the woods, second visit was in October 2009 and my most recent in February 2011 (just returned).
My first visit was my first time out in my caravan which at the time was a very large twin axle, I found the CL pitch large enough and ideally located for my children and dogs, my only whinge was that the leaves falling off the trees marked the awning and caravan.
The second visit we decided to book a normal pitch in the open which was a little more expensive than the CL locations but no leaf problem.
This time we went back to the CL locations and due to the large amounts of rain recently the campsite and country park were very muddy and we had to walk our dogs off site on a number of occasions as they were getting absolutely pitted. Even a short walk to the toilet block would result in clothing being splatted with mud and we had a full load of washing after only a day and a half.
The toilet and shower facilities are always spotless and have never had to queue once during my three visits.
The park was never really busy during the day during my first two visits which were in October but during my last visit in February (half term), the park got very busy despite the boggy conditions. What was quite annoying was the amount of customers visiting the country park that decide to walk through the caravan park being nosey despite the signs saying Caravan site customers only.
Due to the boggy conditions on site this time round we walked our dogs at the top of Westbury hill where the white horse is and there are nice open fields for the kids to play and good dog walking routes which were no where near as bad as the site.
We also visited Trowbridge, there is a large ASDA and a TESCO there as well as an ALDI. We also visited the museum which was free and the kids did arts and crafts as well as trying to find the hidden mice on the mouse trail to get a certificate.
This a very good site which was spoilt this time round by the mud and the nosey country park customers but I would visit again as I have done in the past as it is good value for money, good shower/toilet facilities, good adventure playground for kids but I think my next visit will be during the warm summer months.

This was an experience of Brokerswood Park in winter, 2011.
Site had poor drainage, no tarmac or gravel to walk or drive around the campsite part of the park. We left early as surrounded by thick mud and small lakes of water. The forest and lake seem quite beautiful and one would expect mud in such an environment and to be prepared to use wellies but not on site where just walking to the shower block or toilet was a potential hazard. Our stay consisted of continual cleaning of dog, ourselves and the van, not really relaxing! The weather does not bother us in the least so the heavy rain was to be expected at this time of year.
At night each pitch had a good back light but some nasty black spots so take a powerful torch!
Showers, generous unlimited hot water and place very clean, but lights run on a sensor so difficulties when showering or using loos being stuck in pitch black shower block, as light automatically going off.If you catch the end of a ten minute or so light supply then you have literally only started on your ablutions or worse! The dish washing area water was tepid. Mobile phones varied but sometimes cut off, TV would not pick up but perhaps would with an expensive rig.
The hard standings for the cert locations were good with some gravel adjacent. The road is narrow and winding leading to this park. Handy for Bristol, Bath, Frome, stonehenge, Longleat, Shepton Mallet, Salisbury and the nearest small town was Warminster about 6 miles away. Archangel hotel in Frome is very welcoming, does free wifi and has a lovely open fire plus sofas, restaurant and bar.
Weatherspoons in Salisbury do free wifi but that is very run down.
We would not choose this campsite again, but the forest is great for kids and activities are on offer frequently. Babysitting available at £12 an evening which seemed to make an evening out expensive for a young couple. The staff are friendly and helpful but wheelie bins left for a day and a half. Arrival time before 4.30pm, security with a code and barrier so staff ring up if you haven’t arrived before then to give you a code.
