Lovely pitches, flat and sheltered. Take your citronella as with it being in farming country there are loads of airborn critters. And of course, it's on the marsh so it's windy.
Under the grass it is quite stony so get some good pegs.
Owners and cafe staff very friendly - the cafe is brilliant.
Washing facilities are fine.
There is loads to do up and down the coast from Derek Jarman's cottage at Dungeness, to the Marsh Maize Maze to Port Lympne Zoo and beyond. Ask locals which bit of beaches are best as you can end up on a muddy one if you're not au fait with the area.
It's brilliant that there is loads of space for children to play and ride - we spent Sunday to Thursday at Romney and my daughter didn't want to leave.
The only downside is the road noise - I personally found this disturbing and it affected my sleep.

My family and I spent 4 days at Romney Farm camp site from Thursday to Sunday. The site is fantastically maintained and the pitches are spacious and flat. Both camping areas are well maintained and the grass is kept short and well presented.
The toilet, shower and wash up facilities are excellent and are also kept in spotless condition.
There is also the use of fridges and freezers supplied free of charge. Along with a microwave oven. Make sure you label your items though as they may be removed otherwise.
The immediate surrounding area is pretty quiet with not a lot going on. There is a golf course close by though.
The biggest plus for the site is that there are some fantastic beaches within 5-6 miles. Both at Camber and St Mary's Bay.
As for the site, Glyn and Kim (the owners) are very friendly and approachable. On arrival you are welcomed, shown to your pitch along with a tour of the facilities. Entrance and exit are controlled by a key pad entry system which is also a very good idea. Romney Farm also has an on site cafe which offers very high quality meals from quite an extensive menu. The cost is also very reasonable and we ate there on 2 occasions and also had breakfast as a take away option.
We will definitely return soon and recommend the site to everyone. Families will have a great time and will enjoy the spacious grounds provided.
We felt that the site was very busy over the weekend during our stay, however it did not feel overcrowded and the kids had a great time playing with the other children on the site.
Overall we had a great camping experience at romney Farm.

We've just returned from a 4 day stay at this site and we can't say enough about how wonderful it was. There were two families in our party both with small kids. The site is small and secure and very child friendly. There is plenty of privacy as all the pitch sites are around the edge of a large field and there is shelter. We paid for a pitch with electricity and I think they were slightly more sheltered than the other field.
The owners were great, incredibly kind and very helpful. It's the first time we've camped as a family and we forgot many things for which the owners were happy to help and on one occasion they lent us their own.
It was clean, tidy and the owners had great additional features such as spare water buts, spare bbq's, a selection of outdoor games and a cafe.
There was plenty for us to do with the kids in the surrounding area and we'll definitely plan another trip there.
I really can't recommend this enough - it was great!

We chose this site as our first camping experience from the great reviews we had read. It truly lived up to these. The site including shower rooms and toilets are kept immaculatley clean. The pitches are evenly spaced around the edge of the well shielded field leaving the middle empty for children and families to enjoy games. The owners are very helpful in many ways always polite and having a friendly smile and cheery disposition. The cafe is kept clean and tidy although we did not try the food perhaps on our next visit this will be a focus for us.
Wonderful time had by us all. We will most definetly return. We recommend this site for families.

I have just returned from a one nighter at this site and it is fantastic. The toilets are clean, showers warm and the site is not too large. The cafe is a great idea, and the first site that I have been too that has this, we had a fantastic breakfast. My only gripe was that the pitches are too small. I could imagine it will feel very crammped on a busy weekend

A fantastic little campsite and a real credit to the owners, who were very kind and helpful. We stayed as part of a larger group and were made to feel very welcome. The toilets were immaculate at all times and the shower facilities were also clean with seemingly limitless hot water. You camp in one of two fields, both of which were well drained and very neatly mown, Ideal if you want to play games such as frisbee, cricket, badminton or have a kick about. Being right on Romney Marsh it can be a little windy, but if you're just chilling, or into long walks and cycling this is the campsite for you. Within a short drive are several attractions such as Camber Sands, the RH&D miniature steam railway and the town of Rye. All in all a very enjoyable stay and this is going on my list as one to return to.

An excellent camp site. This was my first camping holiday for 15 years and I have to say the site was wonderful.
It is dead flat, with a bank around the whole camp site about 8 feet high, that stopped the wind causing any problems.
Most pitches had a picnic table next to them.
The showers and wash facilities were immaculate and free!
And the nicest touch was the freezer in which I kept my vodka! Mmmmmmm.
We will be back! If nothing else for the warm and friendly welcome we got.

We stayed here for two nights and found the facilities excellent in an area which we found rather short on camp sites.
The camping area is totally flat, which is very useful for camper vans and although the area can be windy, the whole site is surrounded by trees which act as windbreaks.
The site is secure and you are issued with a keypad number for coming and going.
The toilets and showers are spotless and the whole area has a very cared for feel.
Parents may not like the absence of play equipment but as OAPs we had no problem with that.
We visited Dungeness, which was amazing - just like the end of the world and saw the garden created by the artist and film maker, Derek Jarman. Also visited Tenterden (a beautiful town but very very tight on parking) and Sissinghurst Castle gardens (very busy but space for everyone) and what we didn't realise, you could picnic very easily in the huge wooded car park but beware, the National Trust charge you £2 just for car parking (unless you are members).
Rye and Winchelsea are also within easy reach.

Have recently returned from our second visit to this site for the Whitsun Week. Unfortunately the weather was not very kind to us but we still had a really great time. The Owners were so helpful and supportive generally and also checked we were all ok in the mornings after a couple of bad nights with gales / thunder and lightning. Again we found the site really nice - no complaints at all - everything very clean and well kept - it is a credit to the owners. We are sure we will return again as the site has a nice relaxed family feel and there is so much to do in the surrounding area.

Have just returned from a wonderful, if wet, bank holiday weekend. Couldn't have asked for more. The owners are extremely accomodating and very friendly. The toilets and showers were spotless for the 3 days we stayed and that wasn't an easy feat with the amount of rain that we had. The dogs had a very enjoyable walk through the fields and the children didn't stop laughing and playing for the whole weekend. We didn't use the microwave or fridge freezer but went to have a look and they were spotless too. 10/10 - we will definitely be going back.
