Lovely friendly welcome when we arrived. We got there early but as soon as the pitch was free we were shown to our pitch and where everything was.

There are 2 fields and both tidy and well looked after.

Ice creams on sale in reception which pleased the kids, also information on the local area. Also Cafe on site and menu looked lovely with breakfasts and meals. We would have used it but shut Mon/Tues.

Toilets and showers clean and usable. Warm water when needed and we showed at different times of the day.

Fridge/freezer and microwave for everyones use in a hut which was handy for us as we were first time campers and coolbox wasn't big enough.

Had no problem with noise other than usual for a family campsite. Lots of space for the kids to play and run about.

Couldn't fault it at all and despite the weather would love to return soon.

 Fantastic site!

Our first family camping holiday! Loads of space for the children to run! We booked this site from the reviews we read and would highly recommend it!

Toilet and shower block are cleaned continuously, pitch level and well drained. The rain we had didn't stay on the ground. Good family atmosphere and found all other campers friendly.

The breakfast is a must have at least once served by the owners of the site, AMAZING! Local produce for the breakfast, sausages all meat, bacon slices very thick, not for the faint hearted! HAVE ONE!

Camber is only 10-15 minutes down the road and there are other closer beaches.

We are returning in 2011! If not sooner!

We stayed on this site for a long weekend in early August and it was lovely. Very well kept site, and we think the campers kitchen with fridge/freezer and microwave is a brilliant idea. We were in the first field with EHU and there was a little noise on a couple of evenings from a band that appeared to be using the barn for rehearsals, it wouldn't have been too bad if they didn't keep playing the same song over and over! The toilets and showers were ok but when the site was busy at the weekend you had to time your visits to avoid queues. Very easy to get to the site from the M20.

Two separate fields with hookups in the first one and tents in the second. A path alongside farmers fields for walking the dog that can be accessed from the second field. Nice spacious pitches, especially the corner one we had.

Adequate shower, toilet and wash up facilities. No chemical disposal - they request you to use biodegradable toilet fluid.

Very helpful staff, even offered a hose to wash down our dog after a trip to the beach!

Small cafe on site providing a very satisfying cooked breakfast when cereal just wasn't enough.

Museum in nearby Lydd, as well as the grave of Captain Cook's cabin boy in Lydd Church. Locals very friendly and helpful. Beach/seafront close in Greatstone, St Marys, and so on.

Simple, down to earth site - would go back.

Have just come back from this site and it is definitely the favourite of the 4 we have visited so far this summer.

We were hoping for a hot weekend with trips to Camber Sands, unfortunately it was cloudy, windy and with some rain. The site seemed a little exposed to the elements, but this is a feature of the flat marshes, which are eerily beautiful, especially at sunset.

Despite the weather, however, we and our kids loved the site, as in the tent field there was a huge space in the middle to play. All the children played there in the evening. Shame we couldn't have had a campfire to warm up!

The toilet and shower facilities are very good, though the showers are a bit weak. It's a fair walk from the tent field in the night though!

The owners were friendly and left us in peace. Could have done with a few food basics on sale perhaps. Instead we had to drive to Lydd, where there are a couple of good shops and a fish and chip shop (not brilliant).

From the site you can take a short walk through the fields towards the marshes, it's beautiful. We also visited Camber Sands (very windy!) and the RSPB Dungeness site, which was great - our kids did a Nature Trail which they enjoyed, and the circular walk was only about 2 miles.

There is also the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway, we didn't try it as it's quite expensive (when there are 5 of you!)

Will definitely be back, hopefully in better weather.

We chose this site for our first family camping trip and loved it.

Toilets and showers were spotless. The communal fridges and microwave are a great idea.

The site has a cafe which serves up a blinding breakfast. Local produce are used.

The reception sells icecreams.

Pitches are situated around the edges of the field, leaving a nice big open space in the middle.

The staff/owners are friendly and helpful.

Bitter lovers should try the Bell Inn in Ivychurch. Curry lovers will enjoy Romney Spice (nr Sainsburys) in New Romney. You can't knock the fish n chips at the Pilot on Dungerness beach. Dungerness is fantastic. Theres also a nice chippy in Lydd.

Sandy beaches. Greatstone nearby, or Camber Sands if you want to take your dog.

We have since been to other sites, which do not compare to this. Will be giving this a 10 out of 10 and will certainly be going back.

Recent Sunday to Tuesday stay to test new tent and knowing the area well happily took a recommendation from a friend for this site.

My wife is less keen on camping than I so the facilities really need to be hotel quality, and they were. Very clean shower block, really helpful and friendly welcome and communal fridge/freezer/micro really useful, particularly with two young children.

The site was quite windy, more so than normal we were advised so as a result, of the whole of the empty second field, the 4 tent group of youths were put next to us which was shaded from the wind. Unfortunately we had to tell them at 2.45am to be quiet but did so in the knowledge that the site clearly states house rules. The next day they were told officially when we raised it with Glyn

Bad nights sleep aside, lovely little site, nice touches; some picnic benches and BBQ's provided and would definitely return, although not if wind was forecast.

Great campsite with friendly staff. Clean loos and washing facilities. Plenty of room to pitch our tent. Nice friendly atmosphere too due to its small size. The tents are pitched around the outside of two flat fields, allowing the kids to play in the middle. So you can keep an eye on the kids but they are not spoiling it for other campers. Our only negative comment would be eating out in New Romney. We went to the Ship Hotel. Has to be the worst food I have ever eaten.

I can not find fault with anything, including the owners who are 100 % committed to making sure you have the best holiday / short break possible.

The toilet / shower block are the cleanest I've seen and the fields are leval, and cut nicely. The site is close to more or less everything you need, and about ten minute drive to a sandy beach.

I didn't really know the local area, and when I asked the site owners where I could find this, and buy that, they were only too pleased to help me out. Will be returning again soon, but for a longer stay.
