Lovely site with nice large pitches. A warm welcome on arrival and departure added to the experience.
A real feel of being in the country but near enough to New Romney, Dymchurch and Hythe to be able to enjoy local attractions without too much driving.
Particularly liked the on site cafe and the 'Full On Marshman' breakfast is a must for those recovering from a hard night round the BBQ.
Will be returning and would highly recommend.

This site is exactly as described in previous reviews. We found the location perfect for visiting Dover Castle, Port Lympne Zoo and the RHDR (coastal railway. Our pitch with EHU was level and protected by a hedge which was handy as it can be windy here, the site is stoney but well drained.
The facilities were always clean and although the site was full, queuing was minimal. Barbecues are available to use for cooking or as fire boxes, these are kept beside the cabin where there are fridge/freezers and a microwave for campers use.
The nearby Rose and Crown provided us with some tasty home cooked meals and the on site cafe is also worth a visit. New Romney village has most shops and amenities you may need during your stay.
We chose this site after reading the reviews, and can highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the South Kent coast.
Both Glyn and Kim put every effort in ensuring your stay is enjoyable, many thanks to them for a pleasant stay in Kent.

We have been visiting Romney Farm since its opening some years back. It has improved over the years and still retains its family atmosphere. Glyn and Kim work hard to maintain not only a good and clean site (the on site showers/toilets and washing up areas are cleaned twice a day and are spotless) but keep it a great place for children and adults alike.
There are plenty of nearby attractions, beaches etc. And some very nice and reasonanably priced eating places.
The addition of the Cafe this year has been a great help to many tent campers who have forgoten the essentials.
There are two supermarkets within walking distance in the town.
Fresh food can be bought on site to BBQ on the borrow/return units available with plenty of bench/seats to use if you are travelling light.
All in all a highly recommended site which if Glyn carries out the proposed winter works, extra hook ups for tents in the rear field, which is ideal for cyclists and backpackers, and re spacing in the first field,it will go from strength to strength.
Greatstone and Littlestone are nearby and enjoyed by the windsurfers, St Mary's Bay has the best sand around for the little ones without having to go into Dymchurch and the bright lights and all that entails.
No clubhouse is a bonus as nights are peaceful and after exploring the surrounding walks, there is a great one if you have dogs, most kids old and young are ready for bed.
Thanks again for a great stay and the weather was perfect!

Just returned from this lovely site. The pitch we had was tucked away in the corner but still had tons of room. We have a Cabanon Neptune TT and Espace, but had plenty of space around us. Picked this site from the previous reviews and was not disappointed. Toilet/shower block first class, always clean and never busy. All pitches are spaced very well apart, whether electric or not. Felt very relaxed here. A fair few people from the continent stopping for a few days before carrying on their journeys. Very friendly campers here and even friendlier owners. Could have stayed here all summer.
We have fallen in love with the Romney Marsh area. So much to do and see. We have a 2 year old, 4 year old and 11 year old, but found something for each and all, including mum and dad!
We can't promote this campsite and Kent, East Sussex area enough.
One last thing to mention. There is an excellent cafe which serves only the best cooked breakfast in the world! The sausages and bacon are locally sourced and were delicious.
Go and enjoy.

What a lovely, friendly site, run by Glyn and Kim who greeted us on our arrival. They were always there to help if needed.
We spent our 10 night summer holiday here and were very impressed.
Pitches were level and firm and held tent pegs securely. As you would expect on Romney Marsh it is a bit windy but Glyn kindly advised as to the best direction to pitch our tent.
Toilets and showers spotless and even when site was full we didn't have to wait.
We have been camping for the last 13 years and this is one of the best sites we have been to. Would highly recommend it to everyone.
Lots of good places to visit, and we agree the 5 mile trip to Doris's is well worth while.

Great site! Very peaceful and no large noisy groups, the site was quiet by 10pm. Small but good facilities and well maintained, one field with EHU and one without. The freezer and microwave were useful. Showers and toilets clean and never had queue. Owner very friendly and helpful. Need a car to access local amenities including shop but there is plenty to do in the local area, we were lucky with the weather and spent most of our time at the local sandy beaches. Site was easy to find and well sign posted.

Romney Farm is a very good site to visit. There is a pin number barrier at the entrance that gives you that added bit of security in and out. The toilet/shower facilities are very clean and well maintained. There are pot washing sinks available for people with tents.
I was impressed that they provided a room with fridges and freezers and a microwave for tent users without electric hook up, that certainly helped to keep food cold and fresh.
The camping area is divided into two areas, hook up and free camping. The sites were all numbered out for you and there was ample space between each pitch. The site is quite flat and the ground drains away very well after rain (we had one evening of heavy rain and you would of not known it afterwards)
A nice touch was the wooden picnic tables scattered around the pitches for use with the tents.
Although there are no entertainment facilities on site (which is just what I wanted) there is ample space for children and adults to play ball games etc. There was also a nice dog walking area for us to take the pooch to.
The site was just off the main road that leads to many towns nearby where you could find shops, pubs, take aways etc. Many people on site had their bikes with them as there are plenty of cycle routes around the area and lots of beaches to visit.
There is also a very good cafeteria on site that is open in the mornings and serves a fantastic breakfast.
It can get very windy on the site but as you are on the Romney Marsh area it is only to be expected but it certainly did not spoil the camping experience at all.

The campsite is kept very clean and is not too crowded with open space in the middle. The pitches are large, we stayed in the field with electric hook-ups and these are marked at the sides with small fences.
There is a summer house with Fridges and freezers which you can use as well as a microwave, also ball games and three bbqs.
The shower blocks are very clean, the ladies only has two toilets and two showers, and we did have to wait a couple of times for showers. An additional block was opened at busy times with one extra shower.(my girls would have liked a plug in the shower block for their hairdryers but that is teenagers for you!)
There is a cafe on site open in the morning until about 1.30 serving cooked breakfasts etc. And about 5 minutes away by car there is a Sainsburys as well as other shops in Romney.
The campsite is surrounded by fields and is nice and quiet but it was really windy while we were there and I am not sure if the area is generally like this as there is a wind-farm nearby.
Overall it was a lovely site and I would def. Recommend it.

Just got back from a 14 night stay at this site and quite honestly if you are looking for a peaceful retreat from the big noisy sites then this is for you.
The kids (3 of them) loved the large central part so they could play ball games, this was great as you can keep your eye on them at all times.
The toilet/shower block was spotless and seemed to be regularly cleaned.
The cafe was also spotlessly clean but slightly pricey.
The owners were very friendly and helpful but I understand they are selling up to retire.
There is plenty to do in the Kent area but it does require some travelling.
All in all a 10 out of 10 site.
The Rare Breeds Centre is a good day out if you have young children.

Great site in a great location. Split into two fields, one with EHU and one without. Camping is in marked pitches around the edges of the fields only, so doesn't feel crowded even when full at weekends. So plenty of space for games to be played without having anything hit your tent or car.
New shower/toilet blocks are kept spotless and extra ones are opened up for the weekend. No charge for showers with plenty of hot water, although having to press the timer tap every 10 seconds was a very minor nuisance.
It can get windy in this area due to being so flat and there is a bank around the tent field which does help, but there are some pitches that are outside of this protection. Ask Glynn when booking and I'm sure he will give you some advice.
Two fridges and two freezers are free to use, so nice chilled white wine then, and freezer blocks can be frozen free of charge.
Romney Farm is between Lydd and New Romney, (Sainsbury's is all of two miles away in New Romney), and is an excellent location for visiting all the interesting places from Dover to Hastings.
If you take bikes, there are some great rides along the coast, especially from St. Mary's Bay through to Dymchurch, and from Rye Harbour via the coastal path to Winchelsea Beach. You can virtually ride along the coast from Winchelsea Beach to Folkstone with a few forays onto the road.
For walkers there are also loads of places to go for a walk, Dungeness, (try The Pilot for a great lunch), being a favourite of ours.
Very nice cafe on site too, so if you fancy being lazy one morning they do a stonking breakfast. Open for lunches too.
Access to the site is via a keypad controlled barrier, (number changes weekly), so is more secure than most sites.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
