40 of us visited Romney Farm for a club meeting. Not a bad word could be said for the site or the owners who showed us around and were helpful and very relaxed. Because we were a large group we were allocated one part of the site to ourselves. One side of the site has a large bank which protects the tents from the 30mph winds we had one night. The owner was on hand to answer questions and at check in gives a useful leaflet out with some info on it. Half of the site has electric hookups for caravans or campers. The facilities are basic but clean and in excellent order. There is a gate which requires a code on entry and exit which ensures some privacy, not that it was needed as the farm is in the middle of flat lands and you can in some directions a very long way. It is away from the road however so you are not disturbed by traffic noise. In all, very highly recommended and I would stop there again. This is a view shared by everyone who visited.

Stayed at the site on the last weekend of September 2006, this was my second stay. The first was with a small group of friends for a kiting trip and I was so impressed that I returned with a rather larger group of friends. The site is well maintained without being too ordered, the facilities are excellent - clean and functional. Grass is kept short and the whole site is spotless as far as litter is concerned. Very convenient for beaches at both Camber (10 mins)and Greatstone (5 mins) for fantastic kiting if you are in to that sort of thing. The people who run this site are lovely, very relaxed welcoming and tolerant. For example on my first visit I had forgotten milk for a much needed coffee and upon enquiring where the nearest shop was I not only got directions but also half a pint of milk in a jug to enable my immediate coffee fix! Fantastic site - I'll be returning time and time again

Just returned yesterday from a lovely time at this campsite and wanted to add to the comments. The owners were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The security of an automatic barrier system was good meaning no wondering vehicles in and out of campsite. The beauty about the site was the size of pitches, we chose a corner plot overlooking the wonderful wheatfield which my two children enjoyed running through! The fact that there were no clubhouse, swimming pool or even a small area for kids to play was for us, the best because it encouraged children to get together to play and have fun, rather than us being anxious parents having to watch for any accidents on squeaky swings or slides. There was a lovely walk to a river within five minutes. The local amentities were all within a short driving distance and the pub food was superb! A great way for my two children to enjoy meeting news friends and a trip to Port Lympne Zoo for my Daughter's 6th birthday was (although expensive) well worth the eye to eye contact with the majestic Lion and Lioness that reside there. All in all, a great site, would recommend to anyone who just wants to enjoy the great outdoors for what it truly is!

A very nice place - turned up on July 26th to stay for 3 nights. Very quiet when we arrived, all well organised, and nice to see a tour of all the facilities. Got busier over the weekend - but even when the ful signs were up - it still wasn't packed, plenty of space for each pitch.
Shower block very nice, although the temperature of the showers did seem a bit hot for young kids, from the various screamings I heard whilst performing my daily ablutions! But all in all a fantastic place to stay.

What a very pleasant site! Arrived 21st July and was greeted with a very warm welcome and a good tour showing where everything was.
I spent 2 nights at this site and I must say I was very impressed. The grass was cut short, and pitches were nice and flat. The view was amazing, looking out over the marshes, and also managed to watch some, lovely fork lightning, from outside the tent my first night, as the thunder storm, came across the marsh.
Toilets and showers (which were lovely and hot and free!) were always clean, and the use of the free fridge freezer and microwave for guests with tents came in handy. (After speaking to the owners, they informed me that the fridge freezer and microwave, are going to be moved from reception, into a small green shed, that has been built to house them).
I asked the owner about some nice walks and she gave some very good information about all walks around the campsite.
Had a nice walk to New Romney through the farmers field (where a path has been cut through for campers) opposite the campsite (which the campsite has been given permission for guests to use) which took about 25mins.
Also visited Romney,Hythe and Dymchurch railway it was nice to watch the steam trains coming through the station.
First opened to traffic in July 1927 as the 'World's Smallest Public Railway' and now covering a distance of 13.5 miles from the picturesque Cinque Port of Hythe, near the channel tunnel, to the fishermans cottages and lighthouses at Dungeness. All in all 10 out of 10!
Would recommend this site if you would like break away from home and want some peace and quite

This was a small, well cared for site, with a brand new shower/toilet block. Tenting field flat with short grass and some trees for shelter. Caravan section had more trees. Having the use of a fridge freezer and microwave was very handy. Only drawback was there were only 2 showers and 2 toilets each, which led to small queues.
Situated in a quite good location, close to shops and a supermarket. The site was clean and tidy, The owners were very helpful and friendly, After having a conversation with the owner, I was very surprised to find out that the site had been open for over 7 years, I thought it was a lot newer.

Excellent "small" family campsite; hidden away in the outbacks of New Romney. Very friendly reception pointing out the relevant facilities etc. Shower block clean and tidy, may be busy when the site is full. Although the sink by the shower block was purfectly functional, there was only the one! Great location for the sandy beaches. Will recommend and use it again.

My partner and I a pretty much camping newbies, and I have to say that Romney Farm was an absolutely perfect spot for us. The facilities are basic (No pool or club), but when we arrived the owner jumped on his bike and showed us where the facilities were, and where to pitch our tent. Everything is basic, but clean and well maintained. A slight downside was the mosquitoes. They plagued me personally. The little devils. Make sure to take some bug spray! I would thoroughly recommend this for anyone who is looking for a relaxing, low key break. We'll definitely be going back!

We have just returned from two very enjoyable nights at Romney farm.We found it very clean and tidy with good facilities. Our pitch was level and the grass was cut short. Our children enjoyed the weekend making friends with neighbouring campers. We would recommend this site and will be returning ourselves in the future.

We arrived on the new site on 30th June and we where greeted to a fine welcome. We where shown to our pitch, which was dead flat and lush green. As first time visitors we felt at home, a verynice run site with outstanding toilets and showers. Ample parking and space to let the children play in saftey. At reception you open to trust if the vendors are busy or at lunch. A good little stock of food is available. For me this site comes highly recomended. Cant wait to go back.
