Lovely site! Very friendly owners. The shower block was spotless! The ground was even and our pitch with electric hookup was huge! Would recommend this site to anyone! Lots of room for children to play, but you need to bring toys and sports equipment with you as there is no play equipment there! This didn't seem to bother our girls aged 6 and 8. Lydd town is a couple of minutes drive away, a few shops there and a fantastic butchers. Very reasonable prices for our BBQ food!

If the weather isn't great there is lots to do, Mini train from New Romney, Dymchurch amusement park, Rare Breed Animal Farm, Ashford Designer Crentre. Had a great few days!

A quick note, it can get very windy on the site and the ground was very hard. So if you are in a tent, some invest in some good rock pegs!

We spent 2 nights at Romney Farm recently and couldn't have wished for a better site to stay at. Pitches were a good size, washing facilities were clean and there was plenty of space. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It was great having use of fridges/freezers, and also BBQ's, if needed. The fry-up in the cafe on-site was fantastic.

We had great weather and enjoyed exploring the area- Greatstone Beach was lovely and had an enjoyable afternoon at the Cinqe Ports pub in town.

Would highly recommend this site and plan to visit again.

Well, it seems this site turned out to be a success with my two children, despite my daughter informing me on arrival that it is the worse campsite I have ever taken her to because it didn't have a play area!

What there is though is a feeling of immense space. The pitches are laid out fantastically, there is a lot of room for the children to play ball, Frisbee, obstacle courses and chasing games.

We had a beautiful weekend with the weather. We went with our friends who only ever bring the sunshine camping.

Access roads were easy, infact the B2070 is a lovely road to tow down. The site was well sign posted and the entrance/exit was easy to use with good visibility.

The toilets and showers were clean, the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

A great weekend had by all. Thank you Romney Farm!

We chose Romney Farm because of the positive reviews - we wanted a campsite close to the Channel Tunnel having spent a weekend elsewhere. We weren't disappointed.

We only spent one night here so can't comment on the local facilities, but the showers, toilets and washing up facilities were spotless.

The pitch was spacious and completely flat. The children loved biking around the two fields and farmyard.

We didn't need to use the camping hut with fridge and microwave, but great idea to have it there.

I love camping but as this trip was organised for September and after a pretty wet summer, we decided to go for one of the cabins on site just in case of rain. As it turned out we had a blazing hot weekend, but it was nice that after a rush hour dash we didn't then have to faff with the tent and were able to unpack and settle in to the cabin in less than 30 mins.

The cabin was a good sized space with a small fridge and extra plug point, plus a mirror and coat pegs. The cabin was lovely and clean and the same can be said for the shower/toilet block, although the showers could do with a slightly longer run time per press, but given they didn't require extra money to use them I think I can live with that.

Overall a friendly site in a nice location and one I would definitely consider returning to.

We went here due to the good reviews.

Pros

Friendly staff
Well kept grounds and grass pitches
Little benches for each pitch on lower field (great for breakfast)
Quiet and tranquil
Owners don't over crowed and there is plenty of
Space with spacious pitches
Fridges and freezers on site with plenty of space
BBQ graveyard, an assortment of old bbqs and
Bricks for floor standing bbqs in case you forgot yours
Close to beaches by car
Close to shops and supermarket

Cons

Showers (everything about them), sprays a fine mist and turns off every 4 seconds, frustrating. Although pros, well kept and clean toilet facilities
Airport that wakes up at night (not too bad, but you do wonder who is landing. A plane at 3am when it's pitch black)

The cons aren't that bad and we could not have been happier with our stay.

What an amazing find, what lovely people. A very good value and clean site with all you could wish for including a microwave!

The Swifts who run the site are are very approachable, very friendly and professional.

Local village is very handy and has all the extra amenities you could wish for if desperate and there are some beautiful areas to visit in the local area, although Dungeness was extremely windy and bleak!

Thankyou both for such a wonderful stay, I'd definitely come back and recommend your site to friends.

A really lovely welcome from the owners. Shown to our pitch and shown where everything was.

Very friendly staff, very clean site, showers were a bit hard to use as water direction not great but they were very warm.

The toilets and showers were hotel standard clean and the hut with the fridge, freezers and microwave was a brilliant touch. Loads of space between tents and the ground is completely flat.

Was given a sheltered spot due to forecast of winds and it was just that. High banks all round site makes you feel safe and secluded and aid as wind breaks.

Could benefit from set of swings/slide or sand pit for the kids as plenty room but not a biggie

Only negative for us was the road which can be heard all night and is busy with fast 60mph traffic, mainly loud bikes.

Stayed here in July during a very, very, very, extremely wet period, which as a result created a private pool in front of our tent (15x5m). Immediately after the rain stopped, the warden came out with a pump and hoses to quickly recover the field.

The 'pool' was gone in a minute. This was the end of all the fun for the kids, but at least allowed me to enter my tent via the front door.

Thumbs up for the camp site personnel.

The other day my tent got hit by a stone coming off the mower. Off course shit happens sometimes, but the owner was kind enough to admit this and compensated me for the damage caused (ripped both the inner as well as the outer tent).

Once again: highly appreciated.

All in all: the campsite is great. Especially the tent field provides enough space for kids to play and run (even I could play with my golf clubs as well).

Depending on the wind, you might hear the traffic from the nearest road and find that a little annoying. But most of the time it didn't bother me.

Toilet block is rather small but is kept clean very well. The shower heads do spread the water quite wide, which makes it a challenge washing your hair. The push buttons in the shower could leave the water running slightly longer, but at least the water is warm (even close to hot).

The Rare Breeds Center in Woodchurch is great for kids up to 10 years. The Romney Railway is great for everybody. The nature reserve around Dungeness light house is a must. It provide a great scene for photographing. You should definitely have dinner at the Romney Spice restaurant in New Romney if you like Indian food.

Spent 2 nights at the site and were really pleased with our choice.

Pro's

-Friendly reception

-Lots of space for children to run around in

-Toilets and showers very clean and sufficient

number

Con's

- none

We didn't get to any of the local pubs, but there is a good Sainsburys in New Romney. We all enjoyed Dungeness and travelling on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway.

A small, simple site that was very relaxing despite the British weather
