On first impressions this campsite is a clean, level, well planned grassy site.
However, we own a fairly large trailer tent (Conway Trio) and I'm glad we don't have anything bigger as the electric hook up pitches are tight. We had to park our car in front of our tent as there was no space to the side.
The toilet and shower facilities were a big let down. The only hot water (until it runs out) is in the 12 showers (6 ladies, 6 gents) and dishwashing sinks (just 2) for a campsite with 150 pitches. I'm sure they were cleaned every day but sack the cleaner! There are enough toilets (very small cubicles) but there is no hot water to the washhand basins.
We put the play area out of bounds to our kids, 5,4,2 as it was used by the teenagers to hang around on and climb all over. However the campsite was probably full and this is inevitable.
We would not use this site again unless the dated and basic facilities were ripped down and replaced with facilities to match similarily priced campsites.

August 2003 A good reasonably-priced campsite right on the A31. Pitches not too close together, some with elec. Toilet/shower block clean if a bit basic. Has hairdryer points though. Washing up area. Free hot water. Playpark adequate for our 5 and 3 yr olds - large area with roundabout, swings, climbing frame (or the enchanted tree as our girls call it!) and a wendy house. There is a central field which is usually closed to camping & used for ballgames etc. No shop but they will freeze ice-packs at 5p a go. There is a sainsbury's just down the road and across the very busy A31 there is a parade of shops including newsagent, off-licence and chinese takeaway. A quiet campsite which we will definitely use again.
