We found this on the camping and caravanning club and it has been one of the best sites we've been on. Constant hot water for showers and washing up. Clean toilets and shower block, a plethora of bins (emptied regularly) and a nice relaxed site. Would definitely go again. Plenty to do around with an abundance of supermarkets, pubs/Mcdonalds/takeaways and petrol. Beautiful beach and ample parking in Bournemouth

We visited the site for 6 days ending on the bank holiday Monday. Myself, my God Mother, and my children (5, and 2). The owners are very helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us. We booked the week before we left, and they were able to accommodate us. My sister and her children were also due to come, but were concerned about the weather. We were forecast high winds, and torrential rain. The owners of the site tried desperately to reassure my sister over the phone, and even provided a specifically covered pitch for us, but she still decided not to come.
We didn't have electric hook up. Pitched the tent on slightly sloping ground, and went to explore the site. The play area is very dated. There is a roundabout, 2 swings (no baby swing), and a slide. All functioning, but we only used the area once, as we were at the other end of the site, and sadly, it wasn't worth the short walk. The site did seem to pack people in too tightly, with not enough space to park your car beside your tent, it had to be parked in front in most instances, although we were lucky enough to have a spare pitch directly next to us, but others were not so lucky, and this left little space for the children to play outside without me being worried that they would damage other peoples vehicles. When the wind and the rain came down, and it really did kick off, we came back to a puddled campsite, half expecting our tent to have blown into the brook, but my tent was fine, and our pitch was the only pitch without puddles. The drainage must have been very good, as the next morning there were no puddles, and everyone was still there.
The toilet/Shower block was very close to us, and upon arrival very clean and quiet. This did however change over the bank holiday weekend, where we would wake up to a queue, and by 11 when the cleaners went in, they were in a complete state. I recommend showering at 2pm, after they have finished. Showers were plenty big enough for myself and my 2 year old, and lovely and hot. There are no baby changing facilities though, which made getting dressed/putting nappy on a little tricky. The washing up area was fine, but again, over the bank holiday sadly people didn't show the respect that I would expect.
The website states that there is a shop on site - this is not the case, although there are plenty of shops within walking distance, and plenty of take aways apparently (we didn't use them, but others did). We didn't visit the launderette either. It would appear that they offer an ice pack facility for a small charge, but this did not appear to be advertised on their website. There is a Sainsbury's and a Lidyl within walking distance, and even a Halfords!
We used the site as a base camp for visiting Poole, Bournemouth, New Forest and Swanage. Its in a cracking location, and the list of things to do in the surrounding area is endless. We went to Splashdown in Poole, Swanage Beach, and Monkey World to name but a few.
At night, the campsite was relatively quiet (in our field anyway). Noise after 11pm was only down to some triky campers, who luckily only stayed for a short while. Not sure if they were asked to leave or not, but leave they did.
The campsite is near the main road, but the noise is minimal, with bushes and trees built up around the site, the noise of the traffic was minimal. We didn't notice the airport noise either.
Basically, this site is fine. Its not great, but its not bad. The owners are fantastic, and I'm sure will continue to improve their site. I wouldn't necessarily go back, but that's not a reflection on the site itself, I like to visit different sites each time I camp.

Warmest showers that I've had so far on a campsite but if you are over size 18 I think you would have trouble fitting into the toilet cubicles in the toilet block and to see yourself in the mirror then you have to be at least 5ft10.
The playground was a couple of minutes walk away from our pitch and was near a brook. Not very safe, I would not leave my 5 year old go on her own. There were some local shops about 5 min walk away under the underpass of the very busy A31 road and also a lidl and macdonalds about a 10 min walk away and a sainsburys about 2 min car drive away it is walkable.
This site was ok as a base for bournmouth, poole and the new forest, the staff on reception were very friendly but all in all I don't think I'll return it just wasn't my 'cup of tea'. No views only a hedge to look at, didn't like the park layout, didn't like the area too built up and busy for me.

Spacious site, yet with a degree of privacy, was well run and maintained. Only criticism was when the site became busier and after it had rained, the shower block was not as clean as it had been on previous days.
The site is ideally situated for Poole and Bournemouth. The children's play area, is a little dated, however, functional. Supermarkets (Lidi, Sainsburys and Tesco's) all close by, including Halfords. Cheap places to eat next to a premier travelodge.
Would certainly use the site again.

I stayed here with my partner on the May bank holiday weekend. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and found the staff to be very friendly. Was very busy but this wasn't an issue. Good toilet and shower facilities with power sockets for hairdressers etc.
Queues for the showers can be long as there is only one block for the whole camp site. But there are plenty of toilet and water pipes dotted around the site.
Two good pubs within walking distance. The Woodman has two for one on all main meals and the food was very good so would definitely recommend.
Great campsite for exploring the local area.

We visited over the Easter for 4 nights. There were two other caravans with us which are family, it took over an hour to book in the ladys were very nice but so slow. They said park were you want as we did nearly set up and they told my sister you cant park there so she moved {to find no one parked there while we were there]
The showers were clean but they only put the hot water on a couple off hours in the morning and evening. Our electric keep tripping the man told us we were using to much, we swapped electric switches and then we had no problems but others were still having trouble. The man asked us to have the key to the main box, we had to put the switches up for people when there electric tripped which became a pain.
There was nothing on site 4 the kids as the park was flooded.
The campsite is close to shops which was good.

Lovely site. Very child friendly and being so flat and open was easy to keep eye on our 4 and 2yr old. The best shower block I have come across so far -, hot showers, very clean, plenty of room and handy having a plug socket.
Ideal for visiting Bournemouth and the New Forest.Just down the road from the site you have Lidl / Sainsburys / Tesco and pub.
You pay a £10 deposit for keycard for car barrier on arrival which makes it feel more secure. Good value for money £15pn.
Will definitely be returning to this site.

We were very pleased. Great location and good facilities. Very hot showers. Very close to Bournemouth or Poole. Mc donalds, somerfield and aldi in walking distance. Very good value for money! Big campsite so it is easy to find a space even if others are not available.

Hi have seen this site many times on my visits to the new forest, but normally I stay on the bigger sites in the area. Tried this site and was very happy, I love the idea that they keep adults with no children separate from adults with children if required. Made for pleasant lie ins and lots of peace, not that I'm against kiddies, I have four but when your brother offers to have them for you its great!
Well kept site, I have to say the portacabins are ok, were clean and that's the main thing. The showers were really hot and it was difficult to be under them, but mens were ok. The staff were really nice and everything was nearby. The site is cheaper then the other sites but this would be in line as there is no clubhouse or pool. I would definitely visit this site again

This was our first trip in a caravan as a family with our 2 year old son and we had an absolutely fantastic time. It was very easy to book and the people that run the campsite are friendly and helpful. There is quite a lot of space for each pitch but the fields are not very wide which gave the impression of being very 'on top of each other' however it was bank holiday weekend so I suppose that didn't help!. The facilities were OK, the shower block was quite messy by the end of morning and evening rush but they were cleaned well afterwards. Plenty of hot water, in fact too much in the ladies block and it was so hot I couldn't stand under it for long, not such a problem in the men's block. Some mirrors and power points for those that can't go away without make-up or hair straighteners! Didn't try the portaloo block as they didn't look very nice! There is a lovely field for tents by the river and a children's playpark which looks as if it has seen better days but all the children were enjoying playing on it. Everyone was very friendly and the weather was great so it was pleasant to be on the site. It is very well placed for Ringwood, Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest. Lots of shops nearby such as supermarkets, etc. Seemed quite expensive for a site with not many facilities - £20 a night min 3 nights stay on the Bank Holiday but I suppose it is peak season. I would recommend this site and would certainly return unless I could find something comparable for a cheaper price.
