Stayed 3 nights over the bank holiday, a reasonably nice site reasonably priced. Except ! the 'portakabin' type showers were a total waste of time, hardly any spray & the water was intermittent barely hot/warm/cold, plus previous campers left mud on the floor. I liked the idea of toilet/wahbasin/shower in the same cubicle. The site was tidy otherwise with quite a few large bins for rubbish. We stayed on pitch 12 which was the smallest field. I walked down to the 'other' showers (just for a look ) because of the queue at the portacabin. I'm glad I wasn't in that field because there was the football kick about with no regard for anyones caravans/motorhomes. We did have a couple of cry babies in the next caravan to us (grrrrr)i tow a small car which was a great help, the site was almost 10 miles from bournemouth or poole. There was a lot of live music in some of the pubs at poole harbour which made it worthwhile. There's a £10 refundable barrier cost. The road into the site is quite rough with quite a few speed bumps.

What a lovely campsite - great facilities, well placed location, one of the nicest campsites I've stayed on. There is no shop on site, but the owners offer facilities like ice block freezing, mobile charging, air-bed pumping! The site is well laid out, good facilities for children with a nice play area away from the camping areas. Given its position - a fair distance back from the road, I was a little aware of road noise into the night - more so than I expected to be. The solution is to have a busy day so you sleep.

The only other niggle is that the pull out onto the dual carriageway road can be somewhat problematical when it's busy. However, these are minor niggles and I am going back there tomorrow! That is probably the best advert for the place, ie. I liked it that much that I am returning!

I booked St Leonards Farm Caravan & Camping Park for my first solo camping trip. I needed to a break and decided to give camping a try because it's something that can be done at the drop of a hat, kind of thing.

I arrived about 1pm and checked in and Elaine was lovely. She even volunteered her husband to help me if I couldn't get the tent up - which I had never put up at all, never mind alone.

I was directed to my pitch and after I'd put the tent up, minus swearing, Elaine's husband came over which I thought was lovely and I got a thumbs up for a first attempt. He also reminded me about the shower blocks and wash facilities which were always clean.

The only downside was the no hot water. Now, no one let them know. And I thought I was just being me and cocking something up without realising, (like not reading the times right). But they fixed the issue as soon as they could.

There was a play ground on site according to the map - not that I usd it, but it was there and there were electrical hook ups. Which I'm tempted with next time as I didn't bother while testing the waters.

The site seemed to be in the perfect spot for my day plans. It was a quick and easy drive to both the locations (3 night stay) I'd planned to visit.

There were also shops within walking distance and a pub, which I didn't go to, but the option was there.

I'm already considering a return trip!

Stayed for a few nights. Site was quiet but then it wasn't busy, if we'd stayed in a busy period then there is definitely not enough showers or washing up facilities. Couldn't find the laundry room either.

1. Reception: Outside is grubby with paint flaking so 1st impressions aren't good & you chat through a glass hatch.

2. Road through camp site is narrow with high hedges either side. 2 vehicles cannot pass at the same time unless you have a shrinking machine! how can you be expected to reverse with a trailer or caravan is beyond me.

3. Pitches are too small & you're expected to park your car in front of your tent. No room to park your car at the side

4. Shower block is outdated & Shower water is timed at around 20 seconds per push which is really annoying! you may as well have your hand permanently on the shower button! hot water is only available between 7 - 11 am & 4 - 8 pm and if you've been out for a long walk and don't get back to site till after 8pm there's no chance of a refreshing shower until the morning.

Showers are too small and if you lean forward to wash your legs you touch the side walls or shower curtain which was grubby & going orange at the bottom. I get the impression no cleaning chemicals are used just a damp cloth, neglecting various areas. Plenty of cobwebs that have been there a very long time! This needs to be updated with more room in the showers & family showers as they're is no room for mother & child!

5. No Shop on site which is a shame for a site this big with 170 pitches. Although there are shops a 5 min drive away on a very busy dual carriageway you don't always want to be driving off site to get some milk, bread, eggs or a paper etc.

6. Speed Bumps: Too many & too harsh! even when driving at 2 - 4 mph!

7. Site is located next to a very busy dual carriageway which you hear day & night but you get used to it. It's difficult to get out of the site.

8. Warning Signs: Children must adhere at all times & not play in in the toilet block / washing up area which I agree with but it continues to say offenders will be evicted. Play park is well out of the way.

Have stayed a number of times, really like the fact the toilets are regularly cleaned and the site is so quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of good restaurants and shops within a short distance of the site.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday with our Grandsons. The site and toilets were clean throughout our stay. There was plenty of children around and our Grandsons made plenty of fiends and enjoyed the play area. As we visit a great many sites, we are always looking for ones that we can return to and this one is on our list. Shops and beaches are within a short distance. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay such an enjoyable one

Campsite is in a good location and just off the A31 and not far from the M27. Great to use as a base to explore the surrounding towns. We pitched on the adult only area but the site offers a fantastic family area with a large play facility and football field. Electric hook up available. New toilet/ shower block was excellent, but as with many campsites there are never enough. Had to wait to use showers but not too long. Staff very friendly. No campsite shop but literally 5 mins walk just outside of the site is a Lidls and across the road is a large Sainsburys. Also located within a short walking distance is a Beefeater restaurant. Campsite is secure with a card entry/ exit system, £10 deposit required but returned at end of stay. There is a noise restriction after 11pm which most campers adhered to. The only downside is that the site is located on a dual carriageway in between two roundabouts, road is very busy and entering and exiting was a little difficult.

We stayed 5 nights, I must agree with most previous reviews, this is a good campsite with clean facilities and polite staff, shame that the rubbish area is so close to the shower block and washing facilities, when it's busy full overflow bins aren't great to pass by and I must say I felt sorry for the people pitching nearby. Our pitch had litters left by previous campers that could have being pick up before our arrival.

The playing area for kids is great, noisy road yes but didn't stop us snoring our head off!

We stayed for just 2 nights hoping that we would stay longer if the site and location worked out. It didn't.

About 30 mins drive from Poole or Bournemouth sea fronts, the site is as close as most tourers will get to what are quite charming locations.

The website states that vans and commercial vehicles are not allowed: this intimates that 'travellers' are not welcome. Upon our arrival, we were told to go to a certain pitch close to the main toilet and shower block ( good), but our near neighbours were what might be best described as Seasonal Pitchers in a caravan and motorhomes which had not moved for many a month. Their Transit van ( remember the no commercial vehicles bit?) did move though because the mobile number on the side advertised a window cleaning service. On the second night whilst barbecuing (BBQ legs must be minimum 18" high) I was a bit wary of the bull terrier cross roaming around the whole site marking his territory. Decided our terrier was best left inside the motorhome.

Toilets and showers were fine and kept clean. Hot water only available before 8pm so be aware that if you want a shower before the bare knuckle tournament then get organised.

Motorhomes beware that if you need to leave before 9am then don't! The site has a 2m high barrier across the exit only opened at 9 so if you have an early ferry to catch, take your chances elsewhere.

Plus sides are that there are a couple of supermarkets and a Harvester pub within a few minutes walk and that there are a few buyers around if you bring horse brasses or some lucky heather.
