First time at this site and loved it. Clean and tidy, well maintained site. Helpful and friendly staff. Went out of their way to make sure we knew where everything was. Toilets and showers very clean showers free. Park on site for kids was a big hit with our 6 year old. Dog free site in July and august. No on site shop but as Lidl and Sainsbury's are just outside the gate didn't need it. Barrier entrance, need a £10 cash deposit for your card. Would highly recommend to families. Note some comments about road noise - we have stayed in site with much worse noise, and after a while you don't tend to notice it.

Had a lovely weekend in a tent with my husband, daughter and her two girls aged 4 and the other 5 months The site is very clean and everyone friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We will be coming back soon. We survived the terrible thunderstorm on Saturday early hours of the morning, it was very frightening I can tell you. But the people on the site made sure everyone was ok the next morning.
Showers, toilers and the washing up area are all spotless. The site itself is also very clean.
Would recommend this site to anyone, if you want peace and quiet and a good base to go around the area. There is Sainsbury's Lidl's KFC and a pub just up the road as you leave the site and a petrol station too.
Thank you very much for a lovey stay making memories.

We booked a 4 night stay at St Leonards and we really enjoyed our break there. The site is situated well for trips into Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding area and there are supermarkets and pubs near by for food. The site is clean and the staff were friendly. There is a nice play park on site for the children that would suit age ranges from toddler up to early teens. The shower block has both toilets and showers and is clean, the only criticism is that you cannot control the temperature of the water. There is an additional portable toilet block that is quite outdated but was clean, this is only open during busy periods. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. You can get on site from midday but we arrived early (10:30 a. M) and the staff were able to move us to a vacant pitch so we could get set up immediately. There is a freezer to pop your ice or cooler blocks in and to do this you just pop a small donation in the charity box at reception. They have a large information point letting you know what the weather is due to be like and what is available to see in the local area. We had EHU and had no issues at all with this. There is a lot of signage saying the rules of the site but I did not see this as a problem - at least you know where you stand. The site is quiet from 11pm which suited us. They are able to charge phones and inflate mattresses for a small charge. The road nearby is quite busy and you can hear the traffic noise when all is quiet at night but this did not cause any of our party an issue and we all slept well. We would certainly use this site again and were very happy with our stay here.

Fairly pleasant site. Close to the A31 but not too noisy. Clean toilet block with decent showers. Spent 4 nights here, the first of which was fine. Went downhill after this though and for the best part of the next 72 hours we had no electric. Apparently it kept shorting out and we were told that it was the fault of someone who was using faulty equipment. The nights were next to freezing but we didn't want to keep the heater on overnight as we were concerned about using gas. We did have to use our gas during the day though in order to be able to heat the caravan and cook.
We were part of a large family group of around 15 people and all of us were all in the same boat. My sister had come with her camper van which has a lifting top. It was so cold in the top of the van at night, her children ending up sleeping in the boot of an estate car.
We tried to find another site whilst we were there but to no avail as everywhere was obviously busy over the Easter break. As we kept being told that the electric was going to be fixed we stuck it out. However, we suffered significant inconvenience and discomfort and only the good company and fair weather made it tolerable. We were contacted by the campsite after our return home and offered a £5 per night refund. We felt that thus was entirely inadequate and didn't even come close to compensating us for the £24 we had to spend on replacing our gas canister. To make it worse, it was implied that one of our party was responsible for the electric failure.
Needless to say, we will not be staying there again!

A 4 night end of season stay, on our way back from Cornwall. The site was very quiet and we had our choice of pitches. A very friendly welcome from the staff and helpfulness throughout our stay. Because it was so quiet, the showers were limited to five hours per day (3 hours in the morning and 2 hours at night) but this was no problem. The A31 could be intrusive as it is busy thoroughfare and, depending upon the wind direction, there could be noise from Hern airport. The site is central for most attractions and there is an hourly bus to Bournemouth, but this terminates quite early in the evening. All in all a good site.

Just spent a very pleasant week at this site. This is a very good site to enjoy a quiet relaxing holiday easy access with level grass pitches. Toilet and shower block was always clean and tidy. There are a veriety of shops within walking distance. Ideal base for travelling to beaches and attractions do not know about pubs as don't drink there is a children's play area and a storage area for caravans plus dog walk. Staff were always polite and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for peace and tranquillity. Have spent several weeks in the past.

Would like to say we visited here as novice campers - our first family camping trip - we had electric hook up and booked a premier pitch. Facilities were clean and showers were always hot. We were near the park area which was perfect for the kids to be able to play. We really enjoyed it staff were friendly the site was great and really well placed for visiting lots of local attractions, including beaches etc. They had a fish and chip van and a stone baked pizza van visit whilst we were there too. Saw some reviews that said the road noise was a problem. We didn't have this problem at all, in fact most people observed the no noise after 11pm and it was pretty quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed two nights on this site. We were warmly welcomed to the site by helpful cheerful staff.
We had booked a hard standing and were allocated a good position at the far end of the site.
The site was well organised and nicely laid out, there was good space between the pitches. The toilets and showers were very clean and quite adequate for our needs. There were several fresh water taps and disposal areas for waste water.
Lots of information available about 'whats on' in the surrounding areas, bus timetables, information re cycle hire etc. We always look for sites with a bus stop nearby & the bus stop here is a few minutes walk away, the towns of Ferndown, Wimborne and Bournemouth are nearby. Ringwood can also be reached by bus but the journey by X6 takes a long time, we returned on No. 38 bus which was much quicker.
There are two supermarkets within easy walking distance and a pub
Which serves nice meals, also nearby is a Macdonalds. This site suited
Us very well and we would use it again.

Thank you for a warm and friendly welcome, our tent pitch was great being our 1st time camping. I fully recommend this site for its close proximity to Bournemouth and surrounding areas.
The toilet and changing area were clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful.
A great place to stay, we will be back next year.

This was our 2cd vist to st leonards and I'm afraid to say our last one, they seem to be cramming as many pitches in as they can, we don't have a huge tent, but we felt like both sets of neighbours where on top of us, the owner was really quite grumpy, other members of staff where very pleasant. We had to move our windbreak a few times as he said it was to far out, although the people across from us, used their windbreak to cut right across their pitch so no one could go across even though it was a walk way! Its a shame as the site is level and in perfect position for the beach, and all the other best bits of bournemouth. The site is clean, the showers are hot and the washing up area is clean and hot water at all times, such a shame he has allowed more units on, he has spoiled what was a great site by doing this.
