Booked this site as a very late booking! After ringing various sites and all full or one said no group bookings (2 families) St Leonards said yes! Even though the signs says no groups we ended up being a party of 6 adults and 5 kids - 2 tents and a tourer, this didn't seem to be classed as a group.
This site was perfect for us, as we had children ranging from 3.5 to 9 yrs old. They could run/cycle and kick a football around freely without worrying about cars coming and going! This was a weekend other than shopping we didn't venture any where, just what we needed. Not a lot of movement at night which was great - so slept really well apart from the odd plane going over!
Small park with round about/swings & plastic tree house with slide - just what they needed - did need adult supervision for the younger ones as there is a small stream around it (quite a distance but you know kids!) There were trees in the field that you had to park your tent/tourer behind/infront - so shaded at various times through out the day - fab! We could pick our pitch so this was great to pick if we wanted sun at night or day!
Shower blocks / toilets were clean, the only thing bad is that the sign says HOT water and yes it was hot at 8 am very very HOT! My kids refused to have a shower! :(
BBQ's have to be 18' off the ground. Luckily we had just bought a tall one!
Plenty of electric hook ups.
We have a huge tourer, some of the entrances/exits were a bit tight! Luckily wasn't busy so we could turn around on parts that were designated for camping!
Over all for £22 a night for a family of 5 this was a fabulous quiet site, we had a very relaxing weekend. We will go back!

Arrived on bank holiday Monday and its was packed! Soon after there were lots of pitches available as people were leaving and by the end of the week there was only about 15 units in the whole site. It was lovely and quiet! We couldn't understand why as this site is a lot cheaper than any others in local area. We paid £24 a night for 2 adults and 2 children (under 5's free) and hook up.
Facilities-I felt they were a bit dated but were adequate. Showers were free and hot, but had to keep pressing button to keep water on.
Play area- swings, roundabout and enchanted treehouse/slide. Was adequate and all the children at the site spent most of their time there and they seemed happy with it.
The local Beefeater pub was nice, and it was handy having Sainsbury's nearby. There was a bit of a problem driving out of the site as its onto a busy dual carriageway, but no traffic noise could be heard from the site.

Well not sure where to start.!
This is the first campsite I have been to (3 times!) but I have seen pictures and heard about others.
Prices - When we went the first time in August it cost £15 for 2 people and a car. In September it cost £10! I looked everywhere else and all the other campsites where asking between £20-£25.
Facilities - There are two blocks of mens and womens toilets/showers. In the womens there was about 6 toilets and 6 showers - I never had to wait even when the campsite was chocker. There is also 3-4 plug sockets for the straighteners! There were lots of sinks and also a bench to do your makeup. Always very clean and stocked up.
There was a playground at the back of the campsite but I did not see it. The children there all seemed to love it
There are lots of electric pitches. All the pitches are markd to this ensures you get a lot of space.
Surrounding Area - About a 10min drive to Bournemouth. 2min walk to Lidl, Sainsburys, Petrol station, Macdonalds, Halfords and also a really lovely beefeater pub. This campsite is located on a beautiful farm so beware the smell sometimes gets you when the wind changes.
I have not got a bad thing to say on this campsite at all. We are going next weekend as well!

Much the same as previous review. Lovely camp site, very clean, lots of hot water for showers and washing up. Yes only 2 sinks, but to be honest did not have to queue. Very convenient for the shops, 5-10 minute walk takes you to Lidls, McDonalds and a Premier Inn, which serves bar snacks as well as having a restaurant. Ideally situated for Bournemouth, Poole etc.
Will be returning to this site in the future.

Clean, well run family campsite with a playarea in a seperate field. Plenty of electric hookups within easy walking reach of supermarkets (sainsburys, Lidl) and McDonalds if you feel the need! Also a parade of takeaways and a offlicence, and good range of pubs all serving food. Just up the road is a large camping centre selling everything you would need for your tent caravan or campervan.
We have just returned from a weekend at this great campsite. We had spent 2 hours in the New forest looking for a site with space! but they were all full then we came across this site. We drove in at 4.30pm and went to reception to find a board telling us to pitch up and come back at 7pm which we did to pay. £15 a night for tent car and 2 adults with free hot showers what more could you ask for.
This is a site without a clubhouse, and no shop, they are keeping it this way. But they do freeze icepacks for 5p! you just help yourself from the freezer outside reception. Very friendly, good level pitches and very clean shower block.
The only problem I could see is that there is only 2 sinks, so in peak season it could be very busy.If they were to add 4 more washingup spaces I would give it a 9/10

I spent this August Bank holiday weekend at this site. It was £17/night for two adults - two under 5s were free - 3 night minimum. The Saturday / Sunday nights the site was packed. It was almost as those the tents and caravans were terraced houses. The pitches were level and well marked out. There are a variety of locations but when we arrived we were not able to choose a spot. The shower block is good, lots of free hot water at all times. But only two dish washing points so on this weekend, queues built up. So either join it and wait 20 or so minutes or wait till a gap at 11.45 between breakfast and lunch. Becasue we were pitche dopposite the toilets / dishwashing, there was a bit of clatter still at 10:30/11pm. Not dreadful but just a bit obvious. There is a noise from the main road (A31). No fires or disposable BBQs are allowed, only BBQs at least 18 inches high. I didn't explore the rest of the site, so no idea if there is a playground or other toilets etc. The nearby country parks are worth exploring, which we did as Bournemouth was so full, we couldn't get in. Halfords and Sainsbury's just down the road. Next time we will head to Swanage as that was smaller than Bournemouth and quieter to visit.

Really enjoyed this site. It was our first time camping and we went with friends who have been here before. Nice level pitches and plenty of space for the car next to the tent. Toilets and shower facilities are separate for men and women ( do look at the door as my hubby walked into the wrong one!)- all clean with hot water for most of the day! About 8 wash basins, 5 toilets and about 5 showers, some power points for plugging in stuff and a free hair drier to use. There were only 2 washing up sinks but when we went there was never a queue. For the children there is a small play area with a few swings, a roundabout and a climbing tree thingy! Plenty of space to kick a ball about and have a match with other residents. We did not have electric hook up but there was a freezer to use for your ice blocks at 5p per block (hook up is available if you want). At night you could hear noise from the road, but only the hum of cars going past which did not disturb us at all. There is no bar or club house which was fine for us. A large Sainsbury's, McDonalds, a pub etc very close. Information leaflets at reception of local attractions. There is plenty to do around the area to suit a family. We loved the site and will be going back again!

Ended up camping here because it was the only site with space! I was on a course at Bournemouth University for the weekend so was ideally situated for me. I camped in the main part of the campsite where you have to pitch your tent centrally to a white post which marked out each pitch, I wanted to be in the main area because I was camping on my own, this did mean that I had to put up with quite a lot of noise and a lot of children throwing things that ultimately ended up hitting my tent and car however that is due to bad control of the children and not the fault of the campsite owners. If I went again with others I would venture further down into the bottom field which mostly seem to contain the grown ups! mainly because it was close to the river. On the positive side where I was pitched was next to the water and across from the toilet block which was clean and never too busy. I had a shower first thing in the morning which meant I always had hot water. The Owners were nice enough, there was a freezer which you could freeze ice packs but when I left mine they got a little bit cold nothing more. Literally a stones throw away is Sainsburys, LIDL, Halfords and as someone said McDonalds. Sainsburys has a café. I wouldn't camp here if I was going for a relaxing weekend and wanting to surround myself with a peaceful atmosphere, I would however camp here to be close to Bournemouth, Ringwood, Poole , New Forest etc. and for the easy distance to Moors Valley, a magical place with fantastic attractions, parking cost £1.50 when I last went and then you can go to the adventure playground which is a series of climbing frames dotted along a woodland walk all with an animal theme, for free or try Go Ape- climbing through the trees or the Moors Valley Railway.

This site had lovely clean, new toilets and showers which were clean regularly. Close by to a number of great places. Nice country parks nearby. Park for the children was not fantastic but kept them busy for ages! Off a busy road so would have to use a car to get anywhere but close to a few supermarkets and McDonalds!

Visited this site over the Easter weekend. There was availability when all other sites were full (we were hunting outwards from the new forest). Cost was £17 per night over the Easter break and we stayed 4 nights.
We were in the first field which had a very basic toilet block (no showers which were in a block further away). Toilets were clean but very old (high level cystern and knees almost touching the door). This didn't effect us though as we have a shower and toilet in our own unit and so don't use the blocks - I just went in to see what they were like. Clean as I said. Site was nice and quiet and it was nicely landscaped with trees all round the field. Staff were polite and helpful. We went to Bornmouth for one day and East Devon for another day. Out of the campsite door and straight onto the A31. Were able to get a free late checkout of 2pm on the last day as it wasn't too busy which was nice of them. Would return.
