Hi just returned from Faskally what a great site toilet / shower block very clean, friendly staff, indoor pool club games room large shop only abut 3 miles from Pitlochry. The only downside I found was that it is not very level on 2 of their fields but the bottom site was not to bad. My score 8 out of 10

Just back today from Faskally, we were there for 2 nights. We pitched at the flat area next to the park, you could pitch up at any designated area. You were not given a map of the site which would be quite handy. The other areas are quite steep. There was a fully stocked shop on site. The toilet blocks and showers could of been a lot cleaner and there was no signs stating when the toilet blocks would be cleaned.
The play park was ok, there was a frame for swings, but no swings. Also another play item seemed to have things missing off it. Went into the pool with my son- adult £2.00 child £1.00 for 1 1/2 hrs. There is a restaurant and bar on site. Don't know what the food or prices were like as we didn't eat anything there. You are about a 5min drive from the town of Pitlochry. and not far drive from the queens view which is a worthwhile drive as it is a beautiful view. In general the site is lacking in their general maintenance as there was a number of things we noticed that should be on there weekly/monthly to do list.

I have been to this site on many occasions and can only find one fault with it and that is they lock the toilets & shower blocks at night and leave only one night toilet open which can lead to waiting in a queue. The site on the other hand apart from that is just great, toilet & shower block immaculate good size shop swimming pool, bar. Not all of the pitches are level. No noise allowed after 11 pm or you are asked to leave next morning. All in all a good camp site worth a visit.

We have just returned from faskally was there over Easter weekend, three caravans travelled together. As you entered the park we were on the left just at the bottom of the Hill. THIS IS A VERY STEEP HILL if you are planning on visiting take a load of jack pads with you we used 8 and still was not level. My friends were in the next caravan up once they Had set up there van and put there step in front of the van there was still a 2 foot gap to get into the caravan.
Apart from this we had a good weekend and the noise level was not that bad considering that our van was near the pub! The swimming facilities are good but just a leisure pool no life guard, a young girl dived into the pool and split her nose open - the man that was on the desk didn't know what to do.
But the site is nice enough and good for outdoor activities

Just returned from Faskally site today after a week long break with my family. 2 adults 2 kids 1 dog awning and hookup £130 if I remember correctly. First week of kids school spring holiday. Arrived on Sunday 1st April. There are two main areas for touring vans, split by the wee road you enter the site by. We pitched in the section to the left of reception looking up hill. The area to the right seemed steeper (as mentioned previously) and the area to the bottom left was very busy with small children as it is next to the play area (ours are a little older). We had an excellent pitch with fab views spaced well and very quiet for most of the week, became more busy as the Easter weekend approached. Toilet facilities were first class, kept very clean and showers roasting hot ! did have one on the Saturday which was on the cool side however the site was at capacity and it was 10.30am. I was apprehensive about being bothered by noise as mentioned before on here, however there was no problems at all. Even Saturday night was remarkably quiet, there are notices up everywhere advising noise with not be tolerated. Pool was great 1.5hour sessions for the family, often had pool to our selves. Staff were all very polite and welcoming, didn't find the shop overly expensive but didn't do my weekly shop there only wee things. Bar area had a separate section for adults only (which will please some). During the week it was comfortable enough however Saturday night was very busy as there was a (good) live band playing but not enough seats for everyone. Kids are allowed in the main bar area and there is a small games room with 2 pool tables and a few space invader type machines located at the bar area. There is a large outside terrace area, however this was not set up at this time. Overall we all enjoyed Faskally, preferred it during the week when it was quieter but it was Easter Weekend after-all. I would be happy to return and would recommend it to those with families looking for something in between the large "holiday parks" and a basic camp site.

Just returned from this site and overall I would say it was pretty good. The cons: Having read the other reviews I have to agree that the noise at night (well after midnight) can be a problem. We stayed on Sunday Monday and Tuesday nights and there were a group of campers along from us who thought it was perfectly reasonable to let their kids scream and wail after the curfew even though they were aware there were campers nearby with very small kids. But who cares eh? I find that kind of "I'm alright Jack" attitude pretty disgusting, but I guess that isn't the site's fault, although I never seen anyone trying to enforce the midnight law but maybe I just missed that. There is also supposed to be a single sex group ban but we were next to a tent with 2 guys about 14/15 who would invite 3 of their pals over about 8 o'clock to drink alcohol and shout and swear very loudly while I played with my 12 and 7 year old daughters outside. I overheard one of the boys saying his mum was in a larger tent a good 100 meters away! She's no daft, however it was us next door who had to suffer them. The pros: The toilets and showers were excellent and to be honest I didn't have a problem with the night-time toilets only being available from midnight to six but my wife did, mainly because some of the people using them had thrown toilet paper about and it was pretty dirty in there, but again that's down to the punters not the staff. The views are terrific and the easy accessibility to nearby towns and tourist attractions make this site geographically perfect. The staff are really helpful and polite, and although it was really busy I thought the idea of putting a slab on the pitches as a guide to where the front door of the tent should be very helpful and put paid to any territorial disputes that may arise! The space between the 2 rows of pitches where we were was ample space for loafing/playing with the kids and the shop wasn't too bad price -wise as was the bar/restaurant. Overall it was a good experience but a little more tightening of the rules that are there to make sure everybody enjoys the site should be enforced a wee bit more diligently in my opinion.

Overall I found this a great park for the kids. There was loads of room for them to play swing ball, rounders, football, etc, not to mention the play park, swimming and the walk ways. The toilets were great and plenty of them, never had any problems with the showers always got one when I needed one again clean and well maintained. The only downfall was the closure through the night leaving only 2 single toilets available with a dodgy light. Shop was quite expensive but as we have the car the local coop was near to hand. Have been a couple of times now and will most certainly be going back.

I cant believe that none of the other reviews have mentioned the slopes on this site. We were pitched side-on and we had several bricks under nearside legs and wheel and still felt I was about to topple at any minute. Some of the caravans at the back that were facing downhill had to have their jockey wheel dangling from great height. There is only one area, next to kids playpark (which was very noisy) that seemed level. Although there appeared to be some space- there was not enough electric hookups beside the spaces- presumably therefore it was meant for tents, although there was a seperate field for tents behind the main toilet block.
Views are fab. Nice walk thru woods, along river to pitlochry, took 1 hr 45 mins and got bus back. Had to wait 2 hrs for a bus and the taxis were all on school runs! Showers were clean and I was impressed with the little wooden seat that drops down, inside the cubicle, so I could put my watch and specs somewhere safe. Most places just have a hook for clothes/towel. This little idea should be passed on.! There was an irish band playing in the pub on the Saturday night which was really good fun and had everyone singing along.
Overall, I would say. If sloping caravan pitches do not put you off then do not hesitate to visit this site.

First time at this site, and will almost certainly return. Very busy at the Bank Holiday weekend, but the pitches on the top field are well spaced, with plenty of hookups. Site very clean, tidy and well run. I'm a bit mystified at the policy of locking off the toilet block between mid-night and 6am, leaving only two single toilet cubicles in use, with the attendant queues. The queues did not appear to dissuade some neanderthals from vandalising at least one toilet by redecorating it in toilet paper. Not very amusing, but hardly the fault of the site. However, when the toilet block was reopened at 6am, it had not been cleaned. Surrounding area is superb, with Pitlochry, Rannoch, Blair Atholl, etc. all nearby.

Great site, large pitches, loads of toilets/showers/dish washing sinks. Great outdoor play area for the kids. Disappointed by size of pool (hotel leisure type size) for cost £2 adults/£1 children for an hour so didn't use it. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Great area to base yourself for visiting the surrounding area. Pitlochry is very nice, if a little tartan-tin like for my liking. Blair Atholl is also very close by - a beautiful castle. And the Cairngorm National Park and the Strathspey areas are also quite close by. All in all, a very relaxing time had by all the family.
