Went to the site for a week with another 2 families, we had a great time!. Site was clean and tidy, bit of a shortage of water taps but not a real problem. Read a few bad reports before we went and was a bit worried about spending a week there but so glad we went as it was good.
Toilets were clean and showers were roasting!. Loads of walks and sites. Went down the river most days with the kids and caught little fish. 2 mile walk to pitlochrie.
Pool on the site was good and water was not to cold. Kids played at the park from 10 in the morning till 10 at night. Would advise picking I pitch in the bottom field as its closer to the park and quite flat.
Will definitely be going back.

This is the second time I have visited this beautiful park sadly I will never return.
We were parked both times outside the toilet block. Kids are aloud to run riot and congregate outside the toilets they run in and out screaming and slamming the doors this goes on well into the night.
When we did get to sleep we were woken most nights by adults fighting.
The security needs re thought the cut of for noise should be 10am as most people who visit have young kids. A security person should be located close to the toilet blocks, if a firmer hand was taken with people who disturb the peace of the majority I would return but not until they get this sorted.
I never once saw a life guard man the pool

I went to Faskally with a group of about 15 people and had a great time.
The scenery is breath taking and the walks are great fun. The pool is clean and fantastic for the value and sauna is lovely.
The weather their tends to be rubbish and it comes down in sheets which was a bit of a downer, but if you have a reasonable tent you will be fine.
There's a nice little pub to chill out in, a play park for the kids. Toilets and showers are clean and the hot water isnt dodgie.
Perfect for a first time camping and especially good for the kids. Overall it's lovely and I go every year.

Visited the site for the first time in July 2011. The site was so busy that we had to pitch our tent near the entrance and away from the main camping area but didn't find this an inconvenience as it was closer to the shop etc;.
We found all the staff very friendly but Steph & Paige deserve a special mention for their help during our visit.
The toilets/shower block were first class and the pool was excellent, the bar was welcoming but some entertainment would have livened it up a bit.
The site was clean and tidy and overall had a very relaxed atmosphere.
The only disappointment I found was that we couldn't extend our stay beyond the three days we had initially planned due to the site being fully booked on the day of our departure. Looking forward to returning with the rest of my family in 2012.

First time at Faskally. We had the most horrendous weather but loved this site!
Toilets always clean with hot water (these seemed to be cleaned twice daily). Shop well stocked and not over priced for a campsite shop.
The play park is excellent, there is also forest walks along the river, we had a peep but didn't venture too far as the river was very high and running fast.
On site swimming pool is just amazing value for money and includes, steam room, sauna and hot tub. Pub meals served from 6pm to 9pm are reasonably priced and quite tasty, the curry is a must try.
We will be going back to Faskally for sure!

Reception on arrival could have been slightly more helpful but they helped enough so we knew roughly where to go, pub and swimming pool on site is a great touch and both worth using.
Toilets and showers and big and clean most of the time, pitlochry is only a 2 mile walk/drive away and the dam and fish ladder are well worth a visit.
Queens view close by is worth the 6 mile drive along single track road. Shop is well priced and equipped. River walks are also a great touch and is perfect if you enjoy fishing.
Would visit again

Just back from a two night stay.
The pitch we were on was on a slight slope, not to big a problem. You just slide down the bed a bit.
We had electric hook up which was fine. I could not find a tap that worked for cold water so just got it from the washing up area. Plenty hot water too.
The shower/toilet block near the tent area was ok but should be checked and cleaned more often,as it was disgusting in some of the cubicles, including overflowing 'bins'.Plenty hot water though.
Unlike other sites I've been to I didn't see anyone patrol round to see if all was well etc.One or two selfish people with loud voices at night kept people awake till nearly 2am.
The grass was pretty well kept, good sized pitches but some areas, near the pub looked a mess, weeds and junk lying about, could do with a good tidy up.
Pub didn't open till 6pm so went into Pitlochry for a meal.
Well stocked shop including things to keep kids amused.

I have just stayed at the campsite last weekend and had a ball with my wife and two kids (Aged 6 and 2). When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and helpful at the reception area in the shop, They gave clear instructions on what was required and where our pitch was located.
The tent pitch was spacious, Shop catered for all our needs, We had good use of the swimming pool which was also clean and co-ordinated to ensure no over crowding. (good idea).
Kids Played at the playground and then went for a walk in the haunted Forest, (not really haunted just told the kids that), Had a lovely bar lunch at Pitlochry at the Old Mill Inn and went to the on site Club at night which was enjoyable, popular and everyone being well catered for.
I would recommend this park to anyone who has not been before. Will be going back next Month.

Me and my partner came here on our first ever camping experience. We found it on the internet, and the site looked lovely. With the price we paid I had great expectations of the site.
We arrived to be greeted by very friendly staff in the shop who explained about the field for tents.
We pitched our tent (on a slope) and headed off to explore the site.
We went to use the swimming pool one evening at tea time, to be told we didn't have a token! We then were told we had to pay to swim! I think that this should have been included in the price we paid for the pitch!
The shower blocks were reasonably clean. The only complaint I have is that the locks on the shower cubicles never worked.
I feel that the wardens should be seen more often on the site, just making sure that everything and everyone is ok.
I wouldn't choose to visit this site again.

Just had our first visit to Daskally after a friend recommended the site and all I can say is WOW. Set in a stunning location with great views, the site is peaceful yet lively(if that makes sense)loads for the wee ones to do great walks for the dog and a nice pint from the bar for mum and dad.An added bonus was we got fantastic weather all the time we was there, and it was shorts and t-shirts for all of us.
All in all a fantastic long weekend, great value for money and we will be back for sure.
