Arrived with no booking but since the weather was so cold didn't expect the tent area to be too busy. Reception staff extremely friendly and helpful, as soon as we were set up they came to check we were ok and turned on the lights around our tent. Used the swimming pool which is booked into sessions cost £5 for 3 of us to go swimming which I think is reasonable as the weather was raining so gave my child something to do and the pool wasn't busy.
Toilet, shower and dishwashing area clean and tidy. Kids play area kept my child amused for hours, all the children mixed well.
The bar serves food which prices were on comparison with normal bar meals and also the shop wasn't too expensive for a campsite shop. Great area for walks and Pitlochry not too far away.
Enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back.

We have visited this site on many occasions. The staff are great and the site itself is kept in lovely condition. The playground for the wee one is in the middle and we can see her from our caravan as they are situated around the park. The walks are great and the scenery is beautiful.
The only thing that lets this park down is the clubhouse. The entertainment is always the same, bingo, disco bingo and a quiz no matter what time of year it is, no live singers, or a disco for the children. I really wish they would make changes here!

My first visit to this site was in a tent with my teenage son in July 2011, we liked it so much we returned with a bigger tent and more family members in July 2012. Although there is a ruling on groups of same sex, the staff were very understanding that my 2 nephews were there as carers as well as campers as I suffer from a heart condition.
I like everything about this site, toilet/showers are clean, good food served in the bar/games room, well stocked reasonably priced shop, clean pool, stunning scenery, good walks and close to many historic attractions. Some people complain about noise on this site but I cant say I heard anything excessive
The only thing that spoiled my second visit was the weather, it poured with rain the whole 5 days but I liked the site so much I bought a campervan and returned for a weekend before the end of season. The staff and resident caravan owners made us feel so welcome I will be back again with grandkids in tow

We have just returned after spending 4 fabulous nights at this campsite.
On arrival the staff in reception were friendly and did their best to direct us to our pitch. The pitch itself was good enough, even though we were on a slope.
The shop had enough in it as this was the final week before closing for the season, so running the supplies down was to be expected. I didn't find the prices in the shop that expensive at all.
The sits is a large one, which in the height of summer could be very busy. There are lots of tourer pitches and tent pitches. The toilet blocks were warm and clean. The showers were lovely and warm but didn't last very long unless you held the button in.
The play park was very good for both my children, aged 12 and 9, they enjoyed it and it wasn't that far away from our pitch.
The site has a nice pool with baby pool, sauna and jacuzzi. There is a session system where you can only swim between certain times. As the moment there is a charge for swimming but I believe this may be looked into for new season.
Every member of staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the bar was fantastic, very welcoming for a family. The food was absolutely delicious, actually the nicest place we'd eaten the whole trip. Again, not expensive and huge portions, value for money certainly.
There is a small games room with 2 pool tables, air hockey table and some arcade games. Fun for all the family. We had a wee air hockey tournament going on, it was great.
The sits is so close to several local attractions, Enchanted Forest, Distilleries, Atholl Palace, Blair Castle, Cranog Site and many many more.
The weather was very wet and cold, but this didn't put a dampner on our stay, in fact both my kids asked if we could make this our regular October visit!
We will be returning again, excellent site, made our holiday special.

Stayed here for 2 nights as visiting the Enchanted Forest in the nearby Faskally wood.
The Enchanted Forest was fantastic and enjoyed tremendously by all in
Our party ages from 6-77 years of age!
The caravan park served its purpose and was close to toilets (which I requested for my father) and in close proximity to the play park which again suited us for my 6yr old however:
3 tourers on the opposite side of the play park were obviously having a birthday bash (both nights!) complete with guitar and sing song until the wee hours and though the warden did apologise at check out, her comment was 'we were trying all night to shut them up'. Obviously not hard enough and in our experience other parks would simply not tolerate this.
Facilities were also very tired and a bit dirty at times however also obviously left that way by fellow campers/caravan users so not all the wardens fault when toilets unflushed, vomit in toilet and dish washing sinks full of food.
Showers could have been warmer, cubicles lacking in shelf space for toiletries, rather primitive wooden fold down seat, soap holders all broken and one temperamental hand dryer for 7 sinks so a bit lacking. Husband stated men's toilets not clean but I have to say Ladies although tired were certainly clean.
Shop well stocked,
Elsan quite a distance away as was recycling. Garbage bins only near tourer park so doesn't encourage recycling.
Didn't use pool facilities so can't comment.
As I stated. Served its purpose. Pitlochry and surrounding areas just gorgeous and will be back but just NOT to this particular caravan park.

This was our first proper family trip and chose Faskally mainly for the on site activities. All in all a mixed review.
The swimming pool is a great facility and appears to be well managed by acquiring 'time slots' to regulate the numbers using the pool. Be aware that the pool is charged separately £2 for adults & £1 for kids which is pretty reasonable. The indoor games area was a bit of a let down, everything costs, pool tables, arcade machines, air hockey etc. It could get very expensive, furthermore, about 75% of them were out of order during our visit. The bar area and entertainment were good if quite dated, bingo and cheesey disco tunes etc. However, the bar prices are very good. We didn't try the food but the menu offered a reasonable selection. The bar also has a separate 18+ area which is a good idea I thought.
The on site shop offers a great selection of food, drink and basically anything else you could possibly need, including a hair brush (the wife forgot hers !) as expected it is relatively expensive. There is a laundry which requires you to purchase tokens from the shop for use of the machines. The toilet blocks are heated and during our time were as well kept as could be expected given the muddy conditions underfoot. There is also a covered dishwashing area with a great supply of hot water.
The site itself was well laid out and well maintained, all the tent pitches are very close to a B class road, however, we may as well have pitched on a flyover on the A9 such was the noise and frequency of traffic. There is also a railway line very close by. None of this the site can do much about but it is worth bearing in mind, it would result in me having second thoughts about a return. The outdoor play area was quite a distance from the tent fields and consisted of the usual aparatus, swings, chutes & a climbing frame. All the pitches offer EHU and cost us £22 a night (2 adults & 2 kids).
The surrounding area is simply stunning and offers endless amounts of outdoor activities. The thrill seekers amongst you wouldn't be disappointed by what is available within a few miles, including bungee jumping.
In Summary:- A good site which to my mind could present entirely differently during high season, my underlying feelings are that the facilities simply aren't big enough to cope if the site were full. The staff were all friendly enough and we had an enjoyable stay in a simply breathtaking part of the world.

We spent a few nights here in the tent with our two girls 4 and 9. We had a great time and were lucky to get fantastic weather. The swimming pool was a hit although you need to plan in advance when you want to use it and buy tokens for set sessions. The plus side of course is that the pool is never over crowded as they have a maximum amount of tickets per session. For the adults the pool area has a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The whole pool area can be overlooked by the bar for those members of the family who don't want to get wet.
The bar/restaurant had a great atmosphere and offered entertainment some nights like bingo and karaoke. Adjoining the bar is a wee games room for the kids (stock up on 50p's!) this led to very relaxing and entertaining evenings for the whole family. I know some people prefer to relax with a drink without other people's kids running about and this is catered for with an over 18's only section of the bar.
Toilet blocks were clean and well maintained with everything you need. The campsite is on a bit of a slope but to be honest it didn't bother us. There is a play park which the kids didn't use a lot but it is situated right in a horseshoe of caravans so felt safe if they did want to go.
Well equipped shop on site with food and camping essentials, toys and cleaning products.
Of course Pitlochry and the surrounding area has a lot to offer also. We will definitely be back with our new caravan next time.

Spent 7 nights camping here and overall enjoyed the experience. The site is easy to find and the staff were helpful on arrival. We had asked for a quiet spot which I appreciate on a busy site is not easy but they did their best.
The site does slope down from the road which made a level pitch awkward. We were right by the roadside and the road is busy from an early hour with heavy traffic and also the railway is very close so there is a lot of traffic noise.
The toilet and shower facilities were good, nice shower temperature and clean as were the toilets. The dishwashing area was adequate though if used early before being cleaned they were covered in thousands of dead midges.
The site generally was quiet at night apart from our last night {Friday} where some of the new influx for the weekend were rather noisy. It was well after midnight before a semblance of peace descended so it doesn't look as though much monitoring takes place

Just returned from faskally caravan site after almost 5 years and found still a fantastic site lots of good easy walks we never went to the bar ( we very rarely do on any sites ) our friend did and found it ok.
What I would say is that I think it would be better if there was some form of entertainment, I was told that they have installed an entertainment system that will do karaoke, quiz games and race night etc. While in my opinion this would be good for mid week, I think a live band / singer would go down well. They used to do this years ago but was all stopped
The pool was good lots of kid's enjoying themselves as it should be, it's not a pool for swimming it's for fun,
Toilet blocks are spot on clean and heated. The showers, although nice and hot for adults, the water was a bit hot for kids, heard a few complaints from them,
Nice to see hard standing pitches, enough room for caravan and awning but car parking is a bit tight, however there is room to park car in front of caravan, but I had concerns about the younger kids crossing over the road in between cars
Fresh and waste water points good, but chemical disposal at the shop it's a bit of a trek
Overall fantastic stay defo be back soon

Just back from a three night stay at Faskally. Good site with well maintained facilities.
Swimming pool is excellent value however as usual with these places there is a lack of parental control. The staff can only do so much however a lot of parents seem to view the place as a crèche.
Pitlochry is an easy level riverside walk away. Takes about 1 hour. Scenery is stunning. About half hour walk return by roadside.
Due to the rain the area became very muddy and people (including me) has difficulty getting off their pitch. Luckily there is still a good spirit between most caravanners and help was not far away.
Due to the location and ease of access we will be back.
