August 2004 Great site but gets very busy. Have to book swimming pool in advance, good shop, friendly staff. Great walks in the area, Pitlocry, the fish dam and many other places to visit. Nice walk down to river from site. The town can be a bit expensive. all in all a good place to visit.

August 2004 When we arrived at the site - it was chocka !! - there was a sponsored cycle run going on and the guy on the desk told us we were lucky to get in as there had been 1,100 people booking in that day !. We got pitched up by the fence , thus giving us some privacy, but the facilities are impressive - the toilet block is from a 4 star hotel , it was gleaming ! , plenty of room and hot water. The shop was very well stocked , and staff friendly. The curfew for noise was adhered to with wardens reminding the noisier elements what time it was.A great site in a fabulous location , Will be back definitely.

July 2004 Had a great week camping on this site. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and it was starting to fill up, but nothing like as busy as it was by Saturday evening! It was quite loud until quite late on the Saturday night, but everyone was very friendly. On Sunday the site returned to normal and everything was quiet by around 11pm for the rest of the week.
Kids had plenty room to play with a ball and the park was good though a short walk from the campsite in with the tourers. Swimming pool was very good (book day before), and entertainment at night was great the one time we tried it. Didn't eat there, but plenty others did and food looks like standrd pub grub.
The toilets and showers were in a new block and were generally very clean. One thing I noticed was that the shower curtains were very clean and appeared to be changed regularly. When the site was less busy they closed half of the ladies showers which caused an unhelpful queue a few morning. Washup areas were also clean, though there was a bit more litter around the site than I would have liked.
Would definately go back though may try to avoid Saturday night high season to ensure being able to appreciate the views in peace.

Whenever possible Have been visiting Faskally for the last 8 years and the kids still adore the place!! One word of advice though...If the sun is out, book before you go, as I have seen campers turned away at 09:30 before because the site has been so busy. Big thanks to Mr Hay, Gordon and All of the hardworking staff at Faskally for many years of fun! Can't wait to return.

May 2004 This is a superb site, we try to go at least a few times a year. It's very clean and plenty of space, friendly people. They have a swimming pool with spa, sauna and steam room. They have a bar also serves meals. The on-site shop is very good. The have a laundrette, toilets and showers imaculate. Plently to do out and about, Pitlochery just along the road. Has lots of gift shops, restaurants, fish and chip shops and local supermarket. (I don't get commision, lol ;), just love the site!)

May 2004 This camp site is very popular, myself and all my family go every year and it just gets better. The noise from the main road can be a bit annoying at times. I have no complaints about the toilets or the shower room as they where always clean. The facilities are very good. The cafe/bar can be a bit expensive from what your used to. All round good place and all your fellow campers are always nice.

august 2003 We visited this site twice in August albeit within the last two weeks. We found this an excellent site with good amenities and is a great base for exploring the surrounding area. The only comment I would make is that brushes or something similar be provided for the showers to allow you to clean the floor for the next person. The staff on this site are very helpful and friendly.

july 2003 There are two things you must bring with you to this campsite : earplugs and disinfectant. Throughout our week here the toilets and showers were in constant need of a good clean. When I complained to reception I was told that they were cleaned three times per day. This may have been adequate in the blocks near the caravans but in the block near the tents, where there easily 300 people sharing these facilties, surely a fulltime attendant could be justified. As for the noise, it never stopped! The site does not use pitches for tents, therefore people pitch their tents wherever they squeeze in. It was not unusual to see guy-ropes overlapping each other. Again when reception was asked about safety concerning distance between tents, there just shrugged their shoulders!!!!
Despite all that has been said, this is fantastic site with many facilities, but they really should limit their numbers and so give people a much more enjoyable holiday. It did not surprise me that visits from the police were a common sight while we were there (at least three within one weekend).

20 july 2003 I felt this was too near the main A9 and the railway track, was a little bit noisy even during the night with lorries and cars going North and South and the overnight trains heading North. Although the shower blocks were new they could have done with a good clean especially round the mens urinals and the hot water was rare in the morning but lovely and hot at night. The bar and resturaunt were a little bit overpriced especially for the plain cooking that was on offer. Nice friendly staff especially the wee man in the golf buggy but could have done with more in the shop, 1/2 hour wait for a pint of milk. Good point it was close to the most stunning part of Scotland, with Blair Atholl and the Queens view only 10 minutes by car.

april 2003 LOVELY CLEAN CAMPSITE WITH SPOTLESS TOILET AND WASHING FACILITIES WITH HAIRDRYERS IN TOILETS (A MUST FOR US WOMEN).
The one and only problem i found was noise, campsite has a no noise policy after midnight which is late for some, there was a lot of disturbance and ignorant people thinking this is okay until 3am!(and these were so called adults with families) Campsite owner was very nice and spoke to people next day ,family left! I feel if you are looking for quite break in school holidays -not for you.
Beautiful walks by wooded area next to camp site!!! Indoor pool -remember to book each day as pool only holds 45.
Pleasant staff also in picturesque surroundings
