I was very pleasantly surprised by this campsite. The price is affordable (it cost us £14 per night for 2 adults, 2 children, tent and car). The site is large, when we went in May it was fairly quiet and there were only two other tents in our field, although I am sure that is another story in August! The toilet and shower blocks are a bit old and tired, but as the site say they are being replaced next year. In the meantime they are perfectly adequate for the job they do, and power showers so you can adjust the temperature for adults / children.
The washing facilities were ok, two sinks and drainers. On the last day of our stay there was no hot water to the sinks, not sure if this was a temporary problem or due to the increased number of people by the time we left.
Bins emptied daily, toilets and showers cleaned daily. A mop and bucket is left outside the toilets so that you can wipe up muddy footprints.
There are two lakes on site but these are surrounded by wooden fencing with bolts on the lake side, making it very difficult for a child to get in. Children are not allowed near the lakes without a grown up. My children loved feeding the fish, they went mad over a bit of bread!
There is a small shop five minutes down the road, but the site also have a small shop selling milk, ice cream, bread, torches etc at reasonable prices and we brought our milk and bread there daily.
If you are looking for a basic but pleasant site within the new forest, this site is ideal and with the fencing and a play area, it is good for children too. I am very glad they decided to move away from the adult only idea.

Stayed here on the Friday of May Bank Holiday weekend. It was busy so we were in the meadow. We found a lovely pitch overlooking a lake with geese and ducklings but grass had been recently mowed and left which meant you walked it in and out of the tent.
Location was great, just in the new forest, lots of walks and cycle rides nearby. Two pubs and a restaurant within walking distance. There is a lovely walk that takes you around the boundary of the campsite, very popular with dog walkers. Site owners were helpful and provided useful maps showing local shops and pubs.
Toilet and shower facilities were clean and adequate but a bit of a walk from some pitches in the meadow. There is a new play park for children.
We'll come again but will ask to be in the adult only area next time if it's less busy.

We stayed at this site for the first and last time this May. The setting was really nice and quite peaceful, until bank holiday holidaymakers arrived.
But the real let down were the toilets and showers. They were really awful. They were totally inadequate and old. Glad we had the caravan, because campers would be outraged. When we go away I expect facilities to be up to standard but these were awfully awful. I pay for the site with the facilities.
They are going to build new ones next year, but that's next year not now !

A very peaceful site with plenty of wildlife. Our delightful pitch was beside one of the lakes and we saw coots, moorhens, ducks and Canada Geese. Plenty of rabbits too.
Dog walking is well served and we would recommend the Landford Poacher pub, which is dog friendly. Try a Black Rock steak. Mmm. Plenty of other pubs nearby and also near a handy petrol station for your morning paper.
The shower block is adequate and, important at this time of year, warm! Nice and clean too.
It is an ideal base for exploring the New Forest on foot, by bike or car. It is not a commercial site - it's more one for getting away from it all. We will definitely be back.

Greenhill Farm Camping and Caravan Park is one of the best in the area. We have stayed in the park many times both as a caravan user and this August Bank Holiday weekend in the Tent.
We can say that the park is clean and tidy and the facilities are just what you need to be able to wash up your kitchen equipment, have a shower, go to the toilet and do your laundry.
The owner Jenny Parry Norton is very Customer Service friendly and goes out of her way to make sure that everyone is happy with the pitch and facilities. Jenny always takes on board feedback given by us holiday makers to make sure that the park is at its best at all times.
The lakes in the park are a lovely setting to spend time relaxing and enjoying a slower place of life with good fishing for those people who enjoy the sport. There are many good places to eat near by like 'The Green Dragon' and 'The Landford Poacher' which we can recommend to anyone in the area for good value for money food.
Greenhill Farm was a great holiday setting, not to far off the motorway, close to all the attractions, shops, pubs and in general a very very nice place to go to. Would recommend to anyone!

We stayed at this site last week for a few days in July, and yes it is a beautiful setting for a relaxing break. Very tranquil with picturesque lakes, two of which offer good course fishing. The dog walk is very nice with a gate leading into the new forest, if you’re feeling that energetic.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Greenhill Farm and it is the best site we have ever been to. The surroundings are beautiful and being adults only it is VERY peaceful especially at this time of the year. We had a pitch on the wildlife section by the lake as we enjoy watching the birds and other forms of wildlife and Greenhill Farm has it all, deer, foxes, ducks, geese rabbits etc.The site has a direct entrance into the New Forest and so makes it easy to see the ponys and the wild pigs(if you are lucky).
The toilet and shower facilities blend in well (no concrete blocks) nice green painted buildings. The facilities are regulary cleaned and the showers are hot and best of all FREE. Dogs are allowed on some parts of the site.
The owner Jenny and the Wardens are friendly very willing to help if needed and also have time for a chat. The security is good and patrols are regular even at night. There are plenty of pubs places to eat and a major supermarket not too far away. An information room is provided with information on all the major attractions, also books and mags available to lend. All in all this is a great little site and very reasonable in price. Full electric hook ups. Ken and Carole

We were the first group that this campsite had accepted for quite a while, but after our exhausted search for a site in the New Forest that would take a group of 8 23-25 year olds we were very happy that we finally came across one that would accept us! We were the 'test group' as it was put to us, to see if the owner could be persuaded to accept groups again so don't know if they have started that back up again. We had no complaints while we were there and the staff said it went well, but they didn't know if accepting groups would become a full time thing again.
The campsite itself turned out to be lovely, although we were put away in a field by ourselves, one field away from the other campers. However we didn't mind this as it meant we didn't have to worry too much about the noise we made. The toilets for the tent field were good and clean, although there is only one cubical for the ladies yet two for the men, however it was fairly quiet when we went so no queuing happened at all over the weekend. Didn't see the showers, but one of the guys used them while we were there and he didn't complain so couldn't have been too bad!
The staff were friendly, gave us tips on what pubs to go to and it was nice that they do an 'evening round' just to check everything is okay. Yes there were lots of little 'what not to do' signs about but they seemed very common sense ones and it didn't affect our stay at all. Word of warning on wanting to drive at night though, as they lock the gate to the fields at 10:30pm, so if you come back after that in your car then you have to park in the car park and walk the rest of the way to your tent.
The countryside around is fantastic and there are a number of pubs within half an hour or more stroll away, along with a co-op a little further away.
All in all a great weekend. Was fairly worried after looking at the reviews of this place and thinking we would be asked to leave after half an hour of us being there! However we were all greatly surprised and glad we found this little tucked away campsite.

First visit to this site and all together a good stay. We did have a few issues arriving and setting up but this could be more to do with us being newbies to caravanning ('van parked wrong way!).
Once setup in the dog field (with our 3 collies) we settled in to enjoy the peacefullness of the site. The dog walk is fantastic, there is a walk around the site which then leads you into the new forest (about a 5 min walk) where the dogs can then be off the lead (cattle and horses were there you just have to avoid them!)
In terms of facilities there were basic but functional with toilets and showers being in porta cabins rather than purpose built facilities. That said, all were adequate!
Checkout is 1030 but for an extra £4 you can stay on till late afternoon which is well worth it and gave us a chance to dry out the awning!
There isn't really anything within walking distance (well say under 20 mins) but that's part of the charm of this site - just enough out of the way to be peaceful but not too far to be hours from anywhere!
We did find that in the field we were in the othercampers were a little older (we are 30 and were the youngest by about 20 years!) but all were friendly enough.
We will definitely be returning to this site in the near future.
