This site is not 75 metres from main road,as in sites book, but 3/4 mile, but eventually found it! Mixed feelings as well presented and helpful staff was somewhat over shadowed by seeing owners clean toilets in one minute with same water from mop bucket on 3 consecutive occassions! Bucket put outside for next time - right opposite our van. No paper towels or hot air to dry hands on - very basic. Site was quiet with best information room I've seen and reasonable prices

Just returned from a 3 night bank holiday break at greenhill farm myself husband and 2 sons 23 and 25.I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful my sons went for the fishing there are 3 lakes two which can be fished from. The weather was lovely the site itself was very pretty, the toilet blocks were a bit basic green Porto cabins but served there purpose. The dog walk was fantastic my 2 dogs have never been on so many walks I thought I was in heaven, there is a gate off the dog walk it has forest walk on it you can walk for about ten miles well that's what it felt like, your walking through fields of horses pony's and cows I was a bit scared but they never took any notice of us or the dogs, there is a pub you can walk to through this field called the lamb inn but we could. Not find it, we was later told by another camper we had been walking the wrong way so my advice would be to ask for directions before you set off, all in all a lovely campsite and would certainly go back!

This was our first visit to a camping site and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There was plenty of space to choose to place our tent and we were impressed with the quality of the site. We were very close to drinking water, the showers, toilet block and washing up areas, which were regularly cleaned. We found the showers to be a little grubby but not bad enough that we could not use them. Some of the park was a bit run down, which was ashame but the majority of the park was well kept and tidy. There were some lovely walks to be had on the site. If you like your animals, you will love this site. These animals are not on the site but there are plenty of rabbits and geese that you can see as well as horses. The site is ideal for someone with dogs and even though there were a few dogs there, the site is relatively quiet and ideal for just sitting around doing nothing if you so wish. There is a slight drawback in that you had to drive everywhere if you wished to do something off site but apart from that, the welcome was warm and we would recommend this site to everyone.

Our 3rd stay here.As usual, very peacefull, every morning a young girl appears on her bike to clean the showers/toilets. Dogs loved being outside all day. Discovered Dorset heavy horse centre which was well worth the visit,as usual went to Burley with the lovely gift shops.
Assistance on site was great, the rules make common sense. There was some dogs mess on the dog walk which is annoying if you, like us bother to clean up after your dogs. Heard woodpeckers this time. Look forward to returning next easter.

Lovely site. Most caravans in view of small fishing lake. Toilets very small but adequate, temperature control in shower a bit 'dodgy', Not any room to place dry /clean clothes in shower cubicles (in ladies shower only block). Security lights to toilets at night. Lovely dog walk around park, very clean site, very peaceful and quiet. Lots to do locally- Beaulieu, Sammy Miller motorbike museum, Lyndhurst, New Forest, Salisbury. Lots of wild animals. Will go again. This site is adults only.

OK, enough about the toilets! We found them to be extremely clean on all our visits and we can only attribute this to the lack of children! We pitched on the wildlife area, which was a short bike ride from the showers, (on fishing area) but again found that adults tend to clean up after themselves. Made friends with many ducks and a few geese, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenhill Farm. Yes a little outside the New Forest, but then accessible to towns and shops round and about. We will be coming back, hopefully soon, if only for the tranquillity of the site. Our first 'Adults Only' site, but definitely not our last!

This was our first stay at Greenhills and we chose it for a number of reasons - adults only, location and dog friendly. We have stayed at lots of sites in the NF and found this to be one of the nicer ones. We picked a great weekend for weather and the site was not busy at all so we had a lot of choice of where to pitch. On reading all other comments I agree with the minimal toilet facilities although for our weekend it didn't matter as the site was hardly full at all but I can imagine when it's fuller or full it would be a bit of a nightmare, ditto with the washing-up facilities. We found it a lovely, peaceful site and when we arrived on the Thursday evening after a long, hot journey from London my husband pitched up the tent whilst I took the two dogs for a walk. It was a bit of a trek following the path and I was getting a bit irritated and my dogs were getting impatient - however, when we walked through the opening to the "field" it was certainly worth it. It seemed to stretch for miles and we all loved it. A great bonus when you need to take them for an early morning walk as at some sites I've had to put them in the car and drive somewhere because either there hasn't been anywhere to go to what has been there is not suitable. All in all we loved it and most certainly will return!

This was our first visit to this site and we definitely won't be making a second one. We actually thought we were going on a camping site, rather than an army camp - the do's and don'ts were incredibly long winded. We were put on a shingly / stony bit of ground and told to make sure the pitch number was dead centre of the front of the vehicle (eh? was this for real, or was it really an army camp in disguise). The toilets were basic, but clean, but there was only one toilet in the block and two showers. If I had not paid in advance we most certainly wouldn,t have stayed.

We booked quite late in the day and it was quite nice finding that this camp site had space available especially on a bank holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful and that was a big bonus. (Unfortunately they did suggest a pub round the corner for food which I would avoid as they over charged us and the food at MacDonalds would have been more fresh!)
Three small problems with the site overall:
1)The showers were absolutely disgusting. The funny thing was is that they are cleaned and as I stepped into the cubicle the girl that was mopping up smiled at me as said that I got there just in time to have a clean shower! The cubicles are very small and there is no ventilation as the small window wouldn't. The shower curtain was black with mould and you couldn't move around without it touching you some how. The water didn't much flow as sort of drip, so you had to try and cup the water so you actually got wet and trying not to get your clean clothes wet was another matter. I think a packet of wet wipes would have done me more good!
2)The washing up area is also very small for so many people over the holiday and at evening the queues were quite long. We manager to get in first one night but there was still no hot water! We ended up boiling our own and washing our pots near the outside loos.
3) The site is a good drive away from the New Forest. On speaking to the owners over the phone they said that their back gate so to speak opens out on the new Forest. Actually it opens up on a bit of land with cows - The New Forest is about a 15 min drive away. It was also quite a hike away from anything to see so we spent most of our time in the car driving to do things which kind of defeated our purpose of going camping and getting away from it all.
Overall (bar the bathrooms, washing facilities and location) there was plenty of soft grass and the area was lovely and clean. I probably wouldn't stay here again though but we had a good time nonetheless.

This was our first camping experience and the site is well run, peaceful and in an ideal place for exploring the New Forest.
Facilities were basic but functional and there was plenty of space to pitch a tent away from others for a quiet atmosphere, which was nice, especially as it is an adults only place.
On the negatives: We found the owners to be generally helpful but a little picky and officious at times with a needlessly lengthy list of "dos and don'ts", which as professional adults we felt was a little excessive. Also we had to listen to members of the site staff swearing and cursing over having to do his job which isn't really pleasant. Because of this we wont be returning.
