We visited this site at the end of the school holiday.
We came with 3 other families and stayed in the family area.
The playpark kept the kids busy when they weren't asking to got fishing. Half day permits are only £2. 75 for the kids.
The staff were great and the tiny shop is stuffed to the brim with everything you might have forgotten or need.
There are some small convenience stores not too far away if you need more.
The toilet block is new and there was plenty of hot water in the showers. We took a wander around the adult only section and noticed that not all the shower blocks had been updated.
Due to the dirt track around the site the floor in the toilet block got dirty quickly and despite a mop being provided campers didn't seem to know how to use it on the shower floor they'd just made muddy.
The toilets were cleaned to a high standard every day.
The entrance road is very bumpy although it has apparently been repaired several times this season. I think tarmac or concretec might be the only answer.
We are likely to return next year, by ourselves.

If you are looking for peaceful and idyllic, then this is the perfect place. The site is family run, friendly and helpful. Situated 10 miles from the historic town of Salisbury and 10 miles from the Sea Port of Southampton, just a few minutes walk and you are in the beautiful New Forest and on the boundary of the Wiltshire Downs.
The Park is open all year round, it has an Adults Only area as well as a family area, there are two well stocked fishing lakes and a wildlife lake.
The shower and toilet facilities are in the process of being upgraded to a high standard, it has to be said, it is a shame that although they are regularly cleaned by the staff they are not respected by the users, all it takes is to use the mop and bucket provided after a shower!
Well behaved dogs in certain areas are welcome and in the Park itself there is an excellent dog walk. The Park has a takeaway and small pub also serving food, in addition there are many good pubs and restaurants nearby, the surrounding countryside is very scenic and excellent for exploring, whether it be on foot, bike or horseback.
I thoroughly recommend this Park and will continue to visit many times well into the future. Congratulations to the new Owners and their Staff on the huge improvements they have made.

We stayed here for the last weekend in August 2012 we found the staff polite and efficient. The site was very quiet in the adult section so we were able to pick a pitch next to the lake. There is a nice walk which takes you around the perimeter of the site with a gate that takes you directly into the forest. A 30 minute walk across the forest brought us to the Rockingham Arm a really nice pub fantastic food but you must book or wait a long time for an unbooked table.
The toilets and shower block was new, very clean with soft music playing. We wrote the pitch number down and will definitely be going back

First visit to this site and chose it because of the proximity to the New Forest and surrounding visitor attractions. Very easy to find and the access is good. The road in and around the site is a bit pot-holey but nothing an experienced driver couldn't handle.
Check-in was quick and very friendly although we did have the original allocated pitch changed supposedly to allow for yellow grass to green up. We were originally to go onto an end pitch near the toilets because we had asked for this and in hindsight I wish the pitch hadn't been changed!
We were booked onto the adult only area which is reached through a gate preventing under 18's in - a good move since there are a couple of fairly deep fishing lakes in the middle. The new pitch was a reasonable size with easy access to electric and well marked.
The toilet facilities in this area are clean and adequate - but are shamed by the newer blocks. Lots of hot water to all facilities.
The 'Cabin' near the family area provides entertainment and a bar most evenings during the high season and there is a takeaway primarily at weekends. The family area looks great if you have kids and the tent fields look great if you want to get away from it all with minimal facilities and no electric.
Just one downfall for us which meant we left a day early - We were on pitch 242 which was in the middle of a line of pitches. We faced the lake and although there were a line of caravans in front of there was at least room in the middle. Unfortunately the hardstandings immediately behind and pitches to the side of us filled up quickly on Thursday. The experienced 'vanners' spread out up the limits of the pitches with awnings and windbreaks and we were surrounded to within a foot on three sides. Bit intimidating and claustrophobic when you only have a tent. We aren't unsociable people by any means but having people that close is stifling - especially since this site is rated well for its peaceful environment. One other comment - there is a fantastic dog walk - all secure and fenced etc - but dogs have to be kept on leads all the time through the walk.
Interestingly when we left the site I did say we were leaving early - but the lady in reception didn't seem to want to know why or engage in any conversation of any sort. There is a lot to commend this site for - but we won't be using it again purely because of our experience with being penned in by other people - shame really.

This was our first visit to this campsite at the beginning of school holidays. We were on the family part of the site near to a play area and large field for ball games, this was fantastic for our son, who played there for many hours and made lots of friends,
a very friendly site helped I think by the separation of family and adults only areas as all the children could run around in a very child friendly area.
There is also a small club house which seemed quite popular and you could sit and have a drink etc whilst children played.
The site although busy was quite by 10. 30pm and considering the amount of children I thought this was excellent.
We were lucky enough to have very good weather which made a dust bath of the whole site but this was ok as long as visitors kept to 5mph speed limit and a small price to pay to have such good weather.
Shower blocks were well maintained and mostly very clean. All staff were very helpful and cheerful.
We would visit this site again as great for children.

This site has potential to be really lovely - the setting is great, pretty much surrounded by fields etc. We stayed in the family field, had loads of space until the bank holiday weekend when an insane number of tents pitched up everywhere and the atmosphere at the campsite totally changed from quite peaceful to really really yukky horrible crowdedness!
I don't think it would have bothered us much except we felt with the amount they charge (£28 per night with 2 kids) they can be a bit tight with what they do with their money!
They've got a new looking toilet/ shower/ washing up block which is really pretty good, except it smelt of poo all around it as there was some sort of cess pit or sewerage connection where a tractor and truck kept coming over daily to noisily pump their waste into it! I couldn't believe people were made to pitch directly next to this (this was the electric hook up area). I thought they could've made that whole area so much nicer, but tents were crowded on top of each other with no view, and it just had an unpleasant and smelly atmosphere to it, with areas that could have been tidied up a bit.
Our area was quite nice(although got so crowded later) and the adults only field was really peaceful and quiet with a little lake. But I was really surprised to see the state of the toilets/ showers in the adults only area, which were more like portable cabins, for the amount they charge.
Also I could not believe they only had one piddly freezer for the entire campsite, you had to walk over to the adult only area, completely inadequate, rammed full and bursting, total pain to get freezer blocks in and out of it. There should be at least 4 times the freezer space!
Pitches are not marked which is great when there's not many people but horrible when there are! Luckily we were leaving the day after the crowds turned up, as toilet/ shower spaces understandably got dirtier and you had to wait a bit to wash up or shower.
The campsite has a lot of space but I felt pitches could and should have been limited - it felt like a money making business rather than a cared for site with a personal touch here and there.
On reception the lady was nice enough - efficient, polite, just not personal.
So, if you just want to pitch your tent and don't mind too much about a crowded atmosphere, or lack of atmosphere, this campsite does the job and the new toilet block is good, even with a family room with little bath (ask for key on check in). But if you want somewhere that feels special or loved by the owners I'd try elsewhere. We won't be returning.

This was our first time camping alone. We had a 5 man tent and a 4 and a 7 year old.
We were very impressed with the site. There was plenty of room in the family field for out tent, and a big gap between us and the tents opposite. The new toilet/shower/washing block was fantastic, and I fear we have been spoiled for our first time solo camping.
The toilets near were basic, but handy for midnight trips! The views were lovely, the grass well maintained if you avoid the mole hills, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The play areas were great for all ages, especially the massive field with goals.
We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful trip. Our last night was a Friday, when the site gets fuller and a bit noisier. But most people had settled down around 11. 00pmish and we weren't disturbed.
We can easily recommend this site, and will hopefully be back next year.

Stayed for two very wet nights and sadly like everywhere else site is suffering from the weather.
However being positive a very nice site with good security, good facilities (at least near our pitch)good sized hard standing level pitches.
The staff were very helpful, and a handy little shop that sells not only fresh bread and croissants, groceries but fishing gear and bait.
Now the downside the approach road is atrocious very bumpy and the site road isn't much better.
Walked to The Lamb approx 1 mile but first half is on road with no footpath, bit pricey for my taste(£8. 10 for glass wine and pint lager)so didn't stay long.

Just returned from a stay at this caravan site. The entry road and site perimeter road absolutely appalling, other than that the stay was very enjoyable.
Nice to have adult only area.
We thought £5 per day for additional car was very expensive so decided to leave it in car park near to entrance to site, but due to the condition of the road it was caked in grit and dust and was absolutely filthy, I will not be doing that again.
Nice site but will not be using site again.
The Lamb public house in Nomansland (about 1 mile from site) excellent food and value for money.

Been to this site several times, if you have children and they like parks they will love it here. The brand new shower block is the best I've used. Having the little bar next door is great too.
All staff are very helpful and friendly.
This is also a perfect site if you have a dog because of the lovely surrounding forest.
Although I've never fish here the 3 fishing lakes looks great for a lovely relaxing session of fishing especially have your caravan or tent just beside you.
