This was my first experience of camping and I was kind of mildly surprised! I had visions of pee'ing in the bushes etc and dirty facilities. If indeed there were any! The owner of this site was friendly and helpful, he also gives you a pack when you arrive with all the usual leaflets but also with places and shops (including a local chip shop!) that he knows well. He'll also advise on "quiet" beaches. The ones where the normal tourists don't go! Tents large and small were there and also dogs are allowed! The toilets were cleaned and restocked daily, bins were throughout the site as were fire buckets and taps. Running fresh water from a spring (water was gorgeous!) He also allows BBQ's and supplies chops etc from his own farm for a price!
There is also a big telescope there that a local astronomer comes in on a Tuesday evening for talks and "viewings". When we were there it was £5 a head. I think kids were free.
The pitches were spacious. Big enough for our diablo 900 tent and the MPV!
There are washing and drying facilities for a small fee per load (£3) and a freezer in the ladies loo's and a fridge/freezer in the mens! Also point for hairdryers in the loos! I would recommend this campsite but to get into town (St Austell) you really need to drive!

What can I say, part of me wants to keep this one quiet just so I can always get in, but for Bill's sake, I can't, we have just got back from a great week at Court Farm from Stargazing, to lamb chops and Bill's Famous tours of Cornwall it has been brilliant, the Campsite is clean and well kept and the setting is perfect with all areas of Cornwall being easy to get to. If you want entertainment and shops and things on site Court Farm is not for you, but if you want a beautifull setting, with lots of peace and quiet where your Kids can run around and have fun, I can't recommend it enough.

We stayed here for a long weekend, towards the end of August. It was wonderful - the most relaxing campsite we have ever visited. Loads of space in large field. Tents, caravans and caravans were sited around the edge of a very large field, leaving loads of space for ball games etc. Very quiet and peaceful. Facilities were clean and tidy. but beware very hot showers. Electric hook ups were available.

July 2005 We can't recommend this site enough!! The facilities are excellent and the location is perfectly situated for many of the area's local attractions (including the eden project - ask bill for the shortcut).
After an unfortunate incident only a couple of miles from the site, Bill and company from Court Farm swiftly organised for my car to be patched up so that we could drive around for the rest of our stay. Thankyou again Bill...that really did make a huge difference to us, and salvaged what could have been a distastrous holiday!
Bill's legendary local knowledge and Good Pub Guides were also invaluable.
Thanks again and see you next year!

August 2005 Just spent two weeks at Court Farm and can only find one word to describe it..... BRILLIANT. The site is small, very quiet and peaceful. They have a lake for fishing ,which is free to use and was great for the kids because it was virtually impossible not to catch anything! The welcome from Bill and Simon was very friendly, and they are both full of helpful advice and local knowledge. They are always about and the site is very secure ,which was great for the kids as they had lots of space to play in.There was no noise at night or early in the morning so a thoroughly relaxing time was had by all.Dogs are welcomed on site as long as they are kept under control (and the owners are considering opening a kenneling facility for use when visiting attractions that dont allow dogs- this would be a great idea in my opinion and next year we will bring our dog ). We will definitely be using this site time and again as there is so much more of Cornwall to see and this site offers the perfect base to see it from.

August 2005 What can I add to previous reviews? This is a TOP campsite: generous pitches with plenty of open space, clean toilets and showers, friendly and helpful hosts, peace and quiet, excellent value and all in a great location!
Bill might not be able to fix the weather, but if you’re looking for local knowledge and traffic-free routes to the best bits of Cornwall, he’s the man!
Highly recommended.

September 2004 If a quiet site is what you're after then this is the one. Owners are very pleasant and really helpful. Plenty of room, if you dont mind long wet grass and the odd cobweb in the shower blocks. I must admit the loos are kept clean, but could do with a few more to save the queuing up at peak times.

May 2004 Fantastic campsite. Visited with 2 young kids. Very secure campsite, owners are always about. Good guides to pubs and restaurants and take aways. If you want a quite relaxing break this is the place. The toilet / shower blocks were well maintained. The surrounding area was clean. Pitches were a v.good size. Prices were very good value.

May 2004 First time camping trip with the kids. Fantastic site if you want a quiet break. Had 3 nights there, fantastic location for visiting Cornwalls attractions. The staff give good reccomendations on food, pubs and a quiet route to the eden project. Will be visiting next summer for a longer holiday. Thanks guys.

August 2004 Have just spent 2 weeks at Court Farm and have had a very relaxing holiday (despite the terrible weather). The pitches surround the outside of the large field which does slope. There are plenty of bins and fresh drinking water taps around the field. As said in most of the previos posts, if you are looking for a Peaceful, friendly, quiet, clean, in-expensive family camp site then look no further. Toilets and showers simple but always clean. Very good laundry facilities which we used quite a bit because of the heavy rain we experienced. Central for many of Cornwalls attractions and we managed to find local quiet beaches avoiding the chaotic places like newquay where it is impossible to keep an eye on the children. Bill, Anne, Simon and even the children Andrew and Chloe all very friendly and helpfull at all times.
