Arrival we were met by John the farmer who showed us where we could pitch, basically anywhere we wanted except for near the electric hook ups as we were not using them.John is a very pleasant man and was very helpful he informed us that if we needed him at any time to ring him on his mobile. The farm pets were delightful with numerous cats, kittens (one was offered to us), rabbits and dogs. Missy the farm dog was especially wonderful we had a very happy day playing with her throwing her ball of which she never tired. Unfortunately we cannot have pets where we live so this was a special time for the family. The site is conveniently situated near the M6 and was easy to find, also it’s a great location for Alton Towers and Drayton Manor. Don’t miss Drayton Manor it’s an excellent theme park with fair prices for food/drink etc, the stand up rollercoaster was a hit with the youngsters. The site toilets were spacious and cleaned on a regular basis. There is only one shower but it did not cause problems as there were only a few users when we stayed. Also there is a sink for washing dishes and 3 sinks for personal washing. Oh and loo roll too.Hot water was 50p for 8 minutes but no hot water in the sinks so you have to get it from the shower. The site is great for bird watching with what we thought were House Martins darting over the field collecting insects and also an attractive fishing area. The field was large and level and as there are dogs some doggy poo about so had to be careful where to pitch. Dunston Heath is a friendly site with great views and ideal location and would also make an excellent overnight stop on longer journeys. Would we stay again? Absolutely yes, after all you can’t beat £6 per night!

I do like this site it is only 45 minutes away from where I live but its great for a weekend break without breaking the bank at £6.00 a night! The only thing I would say is don't expect 5* facilities, there is a communal toilet and shower. Ideal if you have a caravan with your own facilities - but for the rest don't forget a bucket/potty for the kids and some baby wipes and rough it! Pub is only a few minutes away by car, and Stafford is 3 miles away if you need to do some shopping! Will definitely go back again and again!

This site is wonderful. The toilet and shower block are really clean and bright and roomy. The farmer john is really nice and always has time to chat. Its a working farm so dogs must be on a lead but that is no problem, even though its close to town you wouldn't believe that you were. There is a fishing pool if you like that sort of thing? and try the free range eggs. There the nicest eggs I have ever eaten and huge double yolkers!
We are there quite regular now as its not too far and my three year old son loves it there with all the open spaces. And he loves to look at the rabbits. I would recommend this site to anyone.

We had a nice weekend here in May. Its a nice quiet secluded site, away from city life. There is a nice clean toilet block, and small area for pitching with electricity. It was very quiet when we went, so it is hard to say how big the site is as most of it was roped off. The only problem we had was with the length of the grass, but the owner could not apologise enough for it being that way, even before we had got onto the main field. We enjoyed it so much, we have already booked up for 2 nights in August with the kids and the dogs. Another plus point, you cant really argue with 6 quid a night.

This site is great, John and Pauline are the most friendly people you could wish to meet. This is a working farm but quiet, all you hear is the odd train go past in the distance. There is a toilet block and shower and an elsan point. Pets welcome must be kept on a lead.
