A great site perfect for a stopover, less than 10 mins from m6 jtn13. Easy to find & lanes not too narrow except for bit over railway bridge, just take your time like we did with our 8ft wide caravan.
Large dog friendly on leads field with hookups and nearby water taps.
Great for fishing as it has a large lake at the rear of the field.
Did not use facilities toilet & shower as we used our own.
Would definitely use again if were travelling south

Great little site as a stopover overnight coming up the M6 traveling north.
Toilet facilities a bit primitive but we had our own facilities on board.
Owner very friendly, parked on big open field with EHU
So very happy 😃 to use again if/when traveling this way again, price very good.
Plenty of room for children to run around and play. Fishing lake on site

Great location off M6. Very reasonably priced. No off lead walks without driving for our dog.
Kids could run freely but no facilities for them. Wouldn't be space for awning and car.
Didn't use toilets but for women there were two plus one shower. Basic.

Site well maintained, large well spaced pitches, showers & toilets
Clean & tidy.
Owner very helpful booked for 2 nights when we said we might need to return after one he insisted that we paid by the day so we wouldn't be out of pocket.
Easy to access from the M6.

There's a lot to like about Dunston Heath. It's incredibly conveniently located just minutes from J13 of the M6 yet feels miles from anywhere, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside.
It's cheap, has EHU, toilets and showers, and two little fishing ponds. Pitches are grass, on an enormous field which is ideal for rallying, but, for us, therein lies the issue.
It was peaceful when we arrived but after 2 days a load of families and noisy couples started arriving, no doubt because of the hot weather and the imminent school holidays. Some of them effectively formed a barricade in front of the toilet block, kids were screaming and running behind the vans, and it seemed the owner hadn't got a handle on the situation at all. In fact he didn't know who had paid for their pitch and who hadn't, after we'd paid we got asked a further 3 times if we had paid! It's a shame because in every other way it's quite idyllic. If we went again we'd be sure to go in term time, but due to a family situation unfortunately we had no choice but to go when we did.

My 2nd stay and so peaceful - just birdsong and the occasional duck quacking from the fishing ponds.
Flat field so ideal for tents and grass well cut. It is great to be able to stay just 1 night and so reasonably priced.
John is very friendly and helpful.
The facilities are adequate. It is very popular with fishermen.
Just off the M6 so perfect if you want a one night's stopover en route north or south.
Will be back again.

We have visited this site a couple of times as it isn't far from my parents and is very reasonably priced. The toilet block is basic and the hot water and showers are coin operated but given the price, that is fair.
The only thing I can fault is the lack of a pot wash - tent campers should bring a bowl. Recycling bins provided so do sort your rubbish. Lovely quiet, dog friendly setting and the owners are friendly and relaxed. O
Nly a short drive to Stafford - Victoria park and Stafford castle are each worth a half day visit and the castle is free and dog friendly. A number of National Trust properties are an easy drive away.
You need sharp eyes to spot the turning, so take it easy on the final approach.
