We have visited Dunston Heath Farm on a number of occasions last summer and this summer. What can I say other than we receive a lovely welcome from the owner who looks after the site. For our £12 a night you get all the facilities you need including showers, pot wash, toilets, elsan point etc. , all kept clean but very basic. There is the added attraction of bingo and a disco/karaoke in a small club house on sat nights with no extra charge, your welcomed in with open arms by everyone who helps out on site and may I add this shuts down at 11pm on the dot, so very respectful to those campers who wish some quiet time. On the whole the site is very scenic with a lovely fishing pool benefiting from a snack bar near the pool, very handy and food not too bad either. People are very friendly there. For your £12 a night ( with electric) you get such value for money. What a gem of a place and comes highly recommended from us.

Would not stay here again.
Toilet and shower facilities were filthy and smelt, you also have to use these to do your washing up, so while someone is on the toilet you are expected to wash your dishes in same area,
Was hounded for money on arrival and was hovered over until payment made and found her to be quite rude, even had the nerve to try and short change me. They have farm dogs running free which are a nightmare, one can be quite temperamental and kept growling at kids, found it quite amusing as we were told to tie our dogs up and clean up after them but there dogs were pooing everywhere. Very 'clickie' campsite as everybody knew each other so made to feel quite uncomfortable. They have a club on site (well scout hut)which plays karaoke on a Saturday until late, we were situated right by hut so kept us awake. Every morning our electric was not working due to it cutting out on there box so could not have a cup of tea etc. Until sorted.
Cheap enough but would rather pay more and have a nice family feel to the place, have been to many sites and this by far was the worst.

Stayed here a couple times in past and have to say its improving all the time. The lady who works the site is in my eyes an inspiration and great credit to what is a lovely place to stay for as long as needed. They have opened an entertainment room which is ample size for the site and brings people together. Also a food hut (burger and tea) has opened but the food is not desirable. I had burger n chips that was cold and tasteless. Site is clean, toilets are ok, And to top things off its fishing lake has many nice fish in just waiting to be caught.

What can I say?? Good location for a stopover. That really is about it. The lady on the site was very friendly, if not a little too keen to collect the money. The toilet and shower really left a lot to be desired and wasn't helped by the smell of stagnant water (or problems with the pipes!). If you are looking to somewhere to stay overnight off the M6 and are happy to 'rough it' a little bit then you'll find it ok. If not, and you are looking for something with a view more amenities then give this one a miss. I'm not sure I'll be going back.

Spent a weekend at this site early may bank holiday. The weather made it a good weekend. This site is located in lovely countryside. No pubs nearby. Karaoke on Saturday night. Easy cycle/walk into penkridge. The toilets though basic were kept clean. Problem with having farm dogs wandering around playing football all the time is they tend to leave their mess everywhere and pester for food. The games field is the middle of the site with the caravans all round. The elsan disposal point was absolutely disgusting and by far the worst I've experienced with the possibility if you were wobbly on your feet of going head first into it. It's a bit dubious having the ' fresh' water tap so close to the elsan point also. I know I've made a numbe of negative points but overall my kids had a ball and would want to go back.

Absolutely wonderful stay for 3 nights.
The site is very basic but that's actually how I like it, the facilities are clean and the price is absolutely great and I ask myself what more could you ask for really?
Everyone was so helpful, I spoke to John before I arrived and as I arrived and then I dealt with Pat who was brilliant and so helpful. Thanks also to who charged my mobile for me, it just feels that everyone goes above and beyond and is just really kind
If you do go here, I recommend that you try the farm eggs. It's a shame that I live so far away as they are absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you so much to everyone for all your help.

Stay here on a regular basis. Plenty of space for tents and caravans although electric can be limited, grass is always cut, toilets and shower are always clean, started to do a karaoke in a marquis on saturday nights everyone is welcome, music is fine even across the field not too loud and was turned off bang on 11pm, kids always love this place, took their bikes this time, they loved it so much space. We shall be returning again ty

Stopped here for the first time. Nice little site
Toilets could do with cleaning more often
Caravans parked too close to each other
Little bit smelly against the toilet block
Open sewer with wooden lift up door against the entrance, this smells real bad when you tip anything down it, could be dangerous if children play against it
We had a lot of swearing and music went on until it turned 11 o'clock, ok if you like that sort of thing
Came knocking on our caravan for us to go the karaoke. Not a nice experience at all

Stayed here for a 1 night stopover on return from Devon to Glasgow.
Booking was easy, done via UK Campsite, email to Alison, £12 for caravan and £14 is you have an awning,
Warmly welcomed on site by Pat who showed us where to pitch and showed me around the toilet block, bins / recycle area etc while hubby unhooked the van.
Basic toilet and shower facilities, 20p for the hot water and 50p for the shower - didn't use them so can't say how good they were.
Large area of grass in the middle of the field for ball games, basketball hoop and goals set up. Farm dogs were happy to join in with the ball games !
Has a fishing lake too which we didn't use.
Ideal location for stopovers on the M6 as 6 mins from the M6 junction 13, would suit people going to Alton Towers etc.
10 mins away in Penkridge is a petrol station and Co-op, chip shop, off licence etc for stocking up with provisions.
Will definitely use again for our trips in future.

A quiet site just outside a tiny village, with lovely views over the Staffordshire countryside but only 5 minutes from the M6. It's on a working dairy farm and really the site is just a field, all grass pitches some with EHU.
There is a pretty fishing pond which looks good although we didn't have time to try it out. On arrival we were shown where the facilities were and then left in peace to get set up before paying for our pitch a bit later.
The toilets and showers are housed in an old container (gents) and a wooden shed (ladies) and are a bit of a DIY job but are kept clean and sweet-smelling.
Only concern for me was the lack of a dedicated grey water drain, we were just told to empty the waste into the ground which could be potentially unpleasant/smelly for the next occupant of that pitch!
Otherwise a pleasant stay and we would definitely visit again.
