Believe all the previous reviews because they are all true, we have just returned from this wonderful little site and we will certainly be returning.
It ticked all the boxes for what we wanted for a weekend away, a very clean toilet and shower block, a pretty village a short walk away, well sheltered, wildlife [nature] friendly and very peaceful
In all a perfect site for our first time out in our new campervan. I couldn't fault it.

This is our 2nd visit to this site, booked for 3 nights but couldn't bear to leave so stayed an extra night. I don't see how anybody could find fault with this site or with Natalie, Darren and Maisie the Weirmaraner:) Nothing is too much trouble and the toilet block is spotless and showers nice and hot, plenty of water for the 20p you put in machine.
Just hope they get their licence to open longer, we would love to come here for xmas.

Lovely site, peaceful & quiet. Very friendly & helpful staff, was shown strait to our pitch and by the time I had got out of the car and round the back our caravan had been unhooked and pushed onto our pitch by the owner, even another camper helped. Never had service like that anywhere. We did have a small pitch but as we only have a small caravan and we booked late this was no problem. The security barrier at the entrance does give peace of mind.
The showers/toilets were all spotlessly clean as was the entire site. The owners obviously take pride in this site & it is a credit to them.
There are however what looks to be quite a few permanently pitched vans here. Some pitches do look small and cramped, those by the entrance are of a good size with room, however those at the bottom of the site look very cramped. (although these vans look permanently pitched to me). Ours was at the end of the main drive although small we were asked at time of booking if our 'van was over 20' long shipping length, as anything over this would be too big. The directions given on their website are spot on, if you approach from the south (High Marishes) the site is approx 50 yards past the speed limit sign take your time or you miss it.
Don't forget your rock pegs as the site is built on an old railway line the ground is very hard.
The area is just fantastic, Thornton-le-dale is a lovely little village with everything you are likely to need, Pickering is just as lovely.
Dalby forest is a few miles up the road, good for walking or cycling, and if you have the stomach for it and not afraid of heights try Go-Ape we did it a couple of years back for my 40th it's just brilliant fun.
Scarborough and Whitby are only a short drive away if looking for beaches. We were lucky enough to be in the area when auto66 were holding a hill climb up Olivers Mount in Scarborough.
Robin Hoods Bay is just a little further up the coast and is a quaint old fishing village, but be aware it is built on a steep hill.
Will definitely stay here again

This is a lovely site, ideally located for the village. It was spotless and very quiet. We could walk from the site to the dalby forest, saving £7 in car park charges and one of the best walks we've done. There are nice shops in the village providing for most needs and a very popular fish shop and bakers.
Would highly recommend the site and look forward to going back.

Just spent 4 nights at this beautifully kept adults only park. The pitch we were allocated was a bit tight and could have done with being a bit wider, but no real problem Good dog walk just off site and toilets and showers immaculate. Young couple who run it were more than helpful and very friendly, actually pitched us when we arrived We will certainly be going back as the local area is a walkers paradise.

Our first visit to this wonderful site, definitely wont be last visit. Half a mile flat walk to village with 2 pubs and all shops. The owner Natalie is very helpful, helping to set up on pitch. Stayed 3 nights but could easily have stayed longer. This site is very peaceful as it is over 18's. The toilets are extremely clean. Every part of the site is wonderful.

Excellent site!
Within walking distance to a the very pretty village of Thornton-le-Dale which has dog friendly pubs and local shops for your essentials!
There are some nice walks close to the site and a lovely lake in the village to stroll around if you do not feel too energetic!
They have hardstandings suitable for Motorhomes and the site is very well looked after and relaxing!
The couple who own/run the site are very helpful and extremely pleasant and friendly and make you feel vey welcome.
They will offer as much help as you need and appreciate you visiting their site!
A lovely place to stay in a great part of Yorkshire.
The site has good facilities in pleasant landscaped surroundings.
Just one complaint. Wish they were open all year round!

We have just returned from our third visit to this excellent adult only site, (which sort of speaks for itself).
The site is under new ownership this season, run by Natalie and Darren whose helpful, friendly and hospitable manner made our stay such a joy, we will going back next year.
The site has just won a silver award in the Yorkshire in Bloom for caravan parks, and has plans for better things next year.
It is set in a beautiful area, with a short walk into the village, which has good shops, and good eating places for those not wishing to do their own cooking.
There are also 3 cottages available for those people wishing to visit the area, who are not caravanners.

Our first trip in our first caravan! An excellent introduction. We didn't know what to expect but we were well impressed.Great site, really helpful owners. Everything on site was spotless and well maintained. The security barrier was reassuring. We had a really easy to use pitch, as we had explained we were novices. We liked the village, do try the New Inn for great beer. The site was an easy distance from Whitby so the dog had a great time on the beach. We liked this site so much we have already booked another stay.
