This is a gem of a sight set out nice with everything you need. Clean and tidy toilet block with nice showers if not a little strong. Water points very handy to all sights with bins as well as grey waste t each one. Owners always on hand if any problems and we're very quick to fix any problems that occurred.
Nice walk into Thornton le dale about ten mins

We stayed at Overbrook for the 5th year running, and as ever we loved it! Darren and Natalie are superb hosts, and as such we keep coming back to this wonderful site.
The park is beautifully kept, and the washrooms are spotlessly clean. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are always happy to have a chat.
We will be booking again for next year, but not before booking for a second visit later this year.
If other sites were half as good as this one, then you would not be disappointed.
Thanks again for a wonderful week.

Another great stay. We visit here quite a lot and it just keeps getting better and better, every time we return they've made improvements to the site/facilities it really is first class. The showers and toilets are spotless clean and to a very high standard. The site is always well kept with plenty of wildlife to see. The owners Darren and Natalie can't do enough for you and make you feel very welcome every time. We absolutely love this place and so does everyone who we speak to while we're there. Keep up the good work guys, you're doing a fantastic job. See you again soon.

Our first time at this site. Darren was so welcoming and pulled the stops out when we asked for a pitch further in the site, even though they we busy. The facilities were immaculate and modern. The site itself is peaceful and friendly and the location is superb. Just a 10 min walk to the centre of the most delightful village. Did some fabulous walking round about. A total relax and recharge. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Terrific site. Well maintained facilities, flowers, bird feeders etc. Very helpful staff. Close to thornton village with 2 great pubs cafes and shops. Handy for Dalby forest with excellent biking/walking. Nearby Pickering has a steam train service that runs to Whitby and well worth a visit. Would also recommend a trip to Helmsley which has a castle and within an easy walk to Rielvau Abbey.

Just had five lovely days at this wonderful site.
Greeted by Darren, the very friendly site owner who quickly helped us onto our pitch and informed us of the site facilities.
The site is very pretty with lots of flowers, trees and bushes, dotted with lots of bird feeders. The facilities are superb, lovely heated shower rooms, laundry and a well stocked information booth. On checking in you are given a swipe card (£10 refundable deposit) for the security barrier and code for the free WIFI
TV reception (freeview) and mobile (02) also good.
Thornton-le-Dale is a 10 minute walk either along the road or through the very pretty route through the trees, along side the stream (both routes are flat).
We arrived on a Sunday lunchtime and on the village green was a local brass band playing which was lovely and apparently plays every Sunday through the summer. The town was quite busy with tourists, but had a wonderful atmosphere.
In the town centre is a bakery, small supermarket, several tea rooms, Wardills (seems to sell everything from newspapers to hardware!) and two lovely pubs.
There is a chargeable cash point in Wardills, however you can get cash free of charge via the post office inside.
We ate in both pubs in which the food and service were excellent.
Pickering is only about 5 minutes drive from Thornton and worth a visit. There is also a caravan accessories shop if you need any supplies.
All-in-all we had a wonderful time in this area and would strongly recommend staying at Overbrook. We look forward to visiting again in 2017.

Site/Staff
Staff very friendly and helpful. Site is basically 2 roads which meet up at the end, and the caravans are slightly close together, and you have to have your unit and awning on the hardstanding, however the hardstanding is not really wide enough so the awning was pegged out on the grass along the length of it, then you park your car on your grass area, which does not leave much room to sit out in the sunshine. No fully serviced pitches. The elderly couple next door had 3 dogs and left them in the unit whilst they went out and they barked for 3 hours or more, not ideal, poor things. Other than that the site is very quiet.
General facilities
Bins were full to the brim so needed emptying, even though recycling facilities are provided. Plenty of information in the information room, and laundry facilities seemed adequate even though we didn't use them.
Dog Walking
There is no dog walk on site, but there are 2 fields they can be walked in offsite although one across the road was a fully fledged wheat crop waiting to be harvested so you could only walk along the edge, and the other field is via a set of woods just down the road, so we didn't bother using it, as the woods were more than ample for a good dog walk in the mornings which the dogs loved and there is a stream there too, which is very clean. Dog bin is provided just outside the entrance to the site.
Showers/Toilets
Showers themselves were good although they are the push button type, and were only on for about 10 seconds so you have to keep pushing the button. They are far too hot for me and would be better with a temp control for me, due to medical reasons but that's a necessity not a choice, if it weren't for that I would be ok with a hot shower. So I had to dip in and out to wash suds off and shampoo etc.
The shower rooms are laid out in a small L shape which is not ideal as there are no curtains across the shower part so everything gets wet, but there is a suit cover provided on a hanger on the only 1 hook to keep your clothes dry, more hooks would be beneficial on the back of the doors to the cubicle. The suit cover is not an ideal solution but its something. There is a stool but again this gets wet due to the compactness of the room.
One hairdryer is provided free but this would not be enough for the size of the site so bring your own.
Toilets are lovely, and the block is never locked for cleaning. They do it as and when. Showers and toilets decorated lovely and they are clean.
Would we come here again, possibly not, we would look for a better laid out site elsewhere in the area. Thornton le Dale is lovely, so we will be back to the area itself, but on a different site.
I have given the site a 6/10 purely for the small compact odd showers and the closeness of the vans with no real area to sit in the sunshine without looking at the back of your car.

This is a lovely little site. Toilets and showers are immaculate. Site is well kept with lovely flowers etc and views over farmers fields and lots of wildlife and farm animals in sight. Short work to Thornton le Dale village which is one of the prettiest villages we've ever seen. Lots to do locally, local forest walking is a must, Goathland is lovely and there's plenty of castles and places of interest. The village has some lovely little cafes and pubs. The sites owners are friendly and helpful and when our car broke down and we thought we may need to stay an extra night, although we couldn't stay on the pitch due to another van arriving, the owner kindly offered to keep the van on the site and said we could stay in their self catering accommodation at a reduced rate. Thankfully it did not come to that but we were so relieved to have the offer! Would come again. Lovely stay. (I've had to rate child friendliness although it's an adult only site!)

We stopped at 15 different parks over our 2. 5 week stay in the UK and we found the Overbrook to be the best by far!
We visited twice. The Overbrook keeps coming back as a very vivid memory as does it's surroundings as one of the most beautiful villages we've ever visited.
Facilities were fantastic, as were the staff and owners. Very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. Even the other guests staying there!
Hope to return some day. Certainly ticks all of the boxes.
Thanks for a great stay.

This site and the owners are both fantastic. The facilities and grounds are immaculate to say the least.
We have not been for a couple of years through illness but our new caravan is coming soon and this will be our first site back cannot wait.
