Fantastic site and the family running it deserve special praise. We stupidly overstayed our welcome, dates mixed up, totally our fault, a couple waiting to take over our pitch. As we rapidly packed up in the afternoon the site owners made some phone inquiries to owners of a seasonal caravan onsite, established we could move our caravan adjacent to theirs, allowing us to stay until the next morning -all this on a busy Bank Holiday. How thoughtful and helpful of the site owners. This really is a super site to stay on (agree with all plus points mentioned in other messages here), and in such a lovely area - we will stay there again (if site owners let us considering the trouble we put them to! )

Just returned from overbrook and it is a quite beautiful and immaculate site. Peace and tranquility preveils, pigeons, pheasants, finches and tits are all that can be heard; fantastic veiws of the kingfisher from the bridge on site (if your patient!).
The owners could not be more friendly if they tried, it was like I had known them for ages; we were showed to our pitch and he even helped me position the van etc.
On site facilities are top notch, toilets spotless, good showers; waste water disposal(not toilet), fresh water stand pipes and dustbins within 20 or 30 yards from any pitch (we were sited about 6 steps from them which was handy). T
he site has been well thought out with good attention to detail such as the stand pipes are stainless steel and the pressure they produce is unbelievable, the hedges have been carved out slightly to semi-conceal the bins.
The village itself is like something out of a fairytale book with little quaint cottages covered in ivy's, climbing roses etc. With a stream running along side them. The best site we've stayed at so far and it will take some beating im sure. Will definitely by going back, 100% reccommeded.

What a lovely quiet adults only site, we couldnt fault it. Very nice helpful owners. The toilets and showers were immaculate. Its in a great area, a nice half hour stroll into the village centre. Every facility you could want - try it now if you, like us want an adults only site.

This site was very picturesque, my partner and I love the village location and the fact that the site was extemely well located close to everything including the National Park which was fantastic for 4x4's. The owners were exceptionally helpful and the site was 100% clean, tidy and functional. Would recommend to anyone.

The site is a little gem! So peaceful, beautifully laid out, staff are lovely and friendly. Adults only.
Our parents borrowed our motorhome to stay here. They can't drive, and 'getting on a bit' needed easy access to shops and pubs. A pleasant level stroll (half a mile at the most) where they could get what they needed, a few pubs to eat in, all with good food. Fish and Chip shop. Butchers, bakers, newsagents. hairdressers and bus stops to get to Pickering and further afield.
A popular site for dog owners, they have a dog too, and all were very well behaved.
The toilet, shower block, (spotless), toilet and waste emptying point are at the entrance. Showers cost 20p with ample hot water.
There's fresh water tap and grey waste points further onto the site
They stayed longer than planned and hope to return in September.

A wonderful adult site. Peace and quiet prevails. The staff will even help site your van, much appreciated if like me you are disabled. The toilet/shower block is spotless and not blighted by children running in and out.
This was our first visit to this site, but we will be regulars now we have found it.
The village is close by, pub, chip shop and a small shop. Pickering is just two miles away which is a small town, so all services available there.

A very quiet 'chill out' sort of site. Children not allowed, so that's a good start. After checking in the site staff will guide you to your pitch and help you reverse into position. A lot of pitches require reversing 'on the blind side' so a bit of help is appreciatedand yo'll hear a lot of 'right hand down' or 'full left lock', etc, etc.

On arrival, the place was so quiet I didn't dare use my electric drill/leg wider in case I disturbed the peace!

The main on-site facililites (toilets/showers/waste disposal, etc) are all close to the site entrance: so depending on your allocated pitch you may have to walk anything from 50 - 300 yards to get to the services.

The showers and toilet blocks are clean beyond compare! Plentiful hot water in the wash basins; and showers only cost 20p for about 10 minutes. And the great thing is that the toilet facilities are almost always empty!

The site is situated on an old railway station (hurrah for Beeching!) and as such is pretty much flat and level throughout.

Be warned thet there isn't a shop on site. Calor Gas cylinders are available on the usual excahnge basis.

This is a lovely site very clean and well maintained the showers and toilets were spotless. The owners were very friendly and after booking us in showed us to our pitch which was hard standing with room on the side for the awning .This is an adult only site so was very peaceful, just a short walk off site had you in a nice woodland setting great for exercising the dog and just a little further approx half a mile was the lovely village of Thornton Le dale with plenty of little trinket shops and tea rooms and a chippy that served the best sausage and chips Ive had in years.
All in all a great site which we will be visiting again next year.

Just got back from Overbrook and if peace and quiet suits you this is definitely the site, the site is very nicely laid out all pitches are hard standing and nicely level. The staff are more than friendly and very helpful (they took us to our pitch and helped us level up). There is good security on site and the site has a barrier to prevent vehicle access unless you have one of the pass keys issued at the start of your visit.
The site is well situated for a good base to local areas like Thornton-le-Dale village, Pickering, Scarbourgh, Whitby and the moors.
Will definitely be going back and we've already booked.
