July 2004 Weve just arrived home after a weekend at Henllys (never been before). We would like to thankyou all at Henllys for an absolutly wonderful weekend. myself and my partner and our 2 girls(ages 8 & 12). The campsite was clean and well laid out. We have a motorhome and awning. The showers were spotless, I heard a lady complain because a few of the loos had no tissue but it was early and when we walked past the first set of toilets the lady was cleaning them so obviously she hadn't got to them yet. There was a few families a bit louder than they should of been and it was late but we didnt feel it was justified to complain. The security guard was brilliant and extremely pleasent and approachable. Our daughter loved the park. We cant wait to visit again next year.

16th July 2004 Hi to all:-)
I just had to submit a review for Henllys because we had a fantastic time at the site. We are experienced campers and have been round quite a few sites. Henllys is one of the BEST we have stayed at. The weather was awful and it absolutely chucked it down on the friday night we arrived. I mention the weather because many reviews are influenced by the elements and subsequently blame the site for their bad luck. The tents were well up for it and we had a cozy sleep in on one of the quietest sites we have stayed at to date. The site was reasonably busy yet because of the size of the field we were able to maintain quite a lot of privacy
There were 10 in our party, 6 adults and 4 kids (though that could have been 5 kids coz my 25 year old brother can't grow up...:-). We had 3 tents and 3 cars and were in the tent field in a lovely quiet and spacious area. The site was superb, clean, tidy, well set out....etc. The location was easy to find, quiet, yet close to many attractions minutes away by walking.
The site toilets, showers and laundry facilities were outstanding, simple as that. There were plenty of showers with piping hot water, plenty of toilets for whatever, and the blocks themselves were obviously new, very clean and a real godsend during the rotten pouring rain. I stupidly left my bag out during the first night (casued by several beers) and it contained a few inches of water in the morning. Thankfully the superb laundry room and a couple of tokens later for the drier and all was sorted.
The bottom line is, if you want a cracking place to base for exploring the North Wales coastal area.....a lovely peaceful location, open fields for the kids to play.......yet have the facility for a good knees up within a few strides, then don't hesitate...IT IS THAT GOOD:-)

23 April 2004 We at Henllys Farm are always ready to respond to criticism and always strive to improve the service we offer.
Please note that we have recently built a new shower block, launderette and we no longer charge anything for showers. We enforce a strict “families only” policy and all disruptive and noisy customers are immediately asked to leave. We also have security guards at the main gate on all busy weekends, and patrolling the site. Unfortunately, sometimes noise is brought to our attention the following morning, by which time many customers have been disrupted, but we ALWAYS take action and keep a list of offenders for future refusal.
We have adopted a two-tier pricing strategy which makes it cheaper at low season, and also regularly make allowances and reductions for individuals and small groups - just ask for discount if you think you deserve it!
Please don't be put off by negative comments, as we try very hard and have many many satisfied regular customers. Give us a try!

May 2003 This campsite is very good. It has clean facilities, large field for tents, and lots of hard standing for caravans. It is reasonably priced, and a family only park.

June 2003 We stayed at Henllys for a week in our caravan. The prices are reasonable and the facilities are good. The camp has a playground and there was plenty close by to keep the kids occupied. Getting in to Rhyl was very easy and the camp was close to other main roads which allowed us to visit Snowdonia. Conwy was particularly interesting and steeped in history - worth a day out with the family.

May 2003 We usually take the caravan, but we decided for 3 nights to take the dome tent and do without luxury!!. We were charged the same as those who had a caravan/awning & electrical hook up!! Obviously for a weekend the actual site location is perfect and the market is worth a trip on either Saturday or Sunday, for the kids the beach is about a 5 minute walk. There is a decent pub (The Wendover) which is about a 1 minute walk from the gate of the site.
