Excellent toilets and showers, Bin's seemed to have been emptied 3 times a day.
Was told we could arrive early around 7:30 - 8:00, but was told on arrival that we couldn't go on the field as it was to early.
They drive round a few times a day checking on things and are quite approachable, I had a problem with a sited van wrapping the EHU with windbreak to stop people pitching next to them, the owner quickly sorted it out (another sited van owner told me the male couple are constantly doing it and dosing the next pitch with water to stop people pitching next to them as they run 2 fridges)
Some of the sited van where quite friendly apart from the above, bit expensive £23 a night with awning, £6 extra to stay till 6.Which I paid, I don't like missing my Sunday roast!
The farm house has gas changes and will even pump up air beds free, saved the kids a job!
There is a play area for kids but nothing special, a fair ground and amusements just up the road with a large market at weekends worth look around.
It was silent after 11ish which is a good thing and the pitches where very large and clearly marked.Car, caravan and awning next to each other. Fenced off at the back of the van for privacy so plenty of room in front of the van as well.
Was a nice weekend away!

The site was big, and myself and my partner enjoyed our stay, at first we thought we would be turned away as we had another couple with us, but after promising not to be a nuisance or rowdy or speeding around the camp site, which we did, we hope the next time we visit we will be welcomed again.
The toilets were excellent, cleaned regularly. Didn't actually find out about the FREE showers until the second day (we stayed 2 nights). The price was reasonable (£19 per night) and close to amenities such as chip shop, spar, fairground about 200 yards away, Rhyl 5 mins away.
Really enjoyed myself and hope to return again this year. They also offer electric hook up points at a small extra charge, the only problem which wasn't major was the lack of taps I noticed 1 near the entrance to the top field, maybe think about installing more taps near every fire point?

This is a nice site on the whole good clean facilities epically the showers and toilets.
There was some noise at night but nothing totally unbearable. In my opinion the area is mainly for kids (arcades etc etc) and we found that if you wanted anything cultured then you had to drive to other local villages/towns but on the whole it wasn't a bad do at all. Will probably end up back there again. I totally agree with some of the other reviews on here that they need to take prebookings as some of the regulars on the site I was talking to said it worries them on bank holidays and things that they wont get their vans on

We booked ehu for 1 night and there are plenty of plugs, along flat roomy pitches either side of some fenced-in shrubs giving some shelter, although there is an enormous non electric field if you so wish. There are toilets and showers plus a laundry near the gate and another toilet block near the centre of the ehu pitches, although this one is locked at night. Both buildings are brand new and spotless as is the large washing up area. The play area is not that exciting but a lot better than some sites.
Within walking distance are the many arcades and funfairs and the beach is not much further. There is a large market on Sundays behind one of the fairs. Quite close to the site is a spar, caravan accessory shop and a pub. We chose this site after reading other reviews and although there was a bit of occasional noise we have had similar on other sites. We are planning to go back again soon. We also paid extra to stay until 6 oclock on the day of departure to get everything in over a weekend!

Having visited this site in early June and this visit being our first actual camping experience we found something we enjoy doing as a family of five. The children enjoyed the space they had to run around and play, they enjoyed the fact that it was only five minutes walk away from Towyn itself. The toilet and shower facilities within the site were spotless and were a credit to the owners of the site. We enjoyed it so much we are going to this site again and are looking forward to going enormously. Unfortunately on this first occasion the children did not get a chance to play on the play area but this was partially due to us not asking where it was located and partly due to the weather (typical english weather that is). All in all I would recommend this site if you want a nice quiet relaxing weekend away. The only noise we experienced was that of the sheep in the fields around the site.

Second time we have stayed here in the last month, stayed on the bank holiday end of may, and then again first weekend in June.
Price this time of the year LOW SEASON is a bit pricey £19 with awning, considering that there isn't a club or shop on site,
Shower block and toilets are one of the best and cleanest that we have seen. Plenty of shower cubicles, plenty of toilet cubicles, hair dryers and shaving points free of charge.
The site it self is flat, and you get plenty of room for caravan, awning and car on each pitch. There was a 24 hr security guard there when we stayed on the bank holiday, wasn't last weekend.
Towyn with market and pubs and all your normal seaside town is only a good 5 minute walk away.
Will be staying again soon

What a fantastic camping site. Stayed there for a week and found it to be a beautiful and well kept site. The owners are both friendly and helpful, as are the sited tourers, we were struggling to put up our new awning and four people came out their caravan and helped us A great week which the kids loved and can’t wait to go back.

I agree wholeheartedly with the positive comments made by the previous posters, but I have to address the comments attributed to the sited vans on this site.
We have sited our van at Henllys recently and were there over the Bank Holiday weekend, and yes, there was some loud music played late night, but show me a campsite where that never happens.
From what I could see, the noise near us was coming from tenters near to us, and not the sited vans. It was a bit loud, but I expected it on Bank Holiday.
The comments blaming the sited vans for the noise does a disservice to a lot of the family's who have vans sited here. Also the comments about 'They should think about what type of units they allow on site'. What does that mean? To me it seems to be having a pop at some of the older sited caravans which is profoundly unfair and verges on snobbishness, I hope that's not the case.
I have always found Ms Kerfoot to be very approachable and reasonable so the 'Not customer friendly' comment does not stick with me. The campsite is very busy, so maybe they have to be a bit more forthright when on the phone, I bet they get asked some silly and time consuming questions on the phone at times, they did when I was waiting there recently.
Anyway, we all have our opinions don't we? But decisions should not be made entirely on other people's opinions.
Henllys is a really lovely site, well kept, and well worth a visit, even on a Bank Holiday.

Just stayed here for the first time during the bank holiday weekend. This site is the nicest in Towyn as its within walking distance of everything.
GOOD POINTS:-
Excellent showers/toilets Lovely spacious site with views of the hills Brilliant location for shops/etc Security on site:- see below!
BAD POINTS:-
Lots of large groups making lots of noise at night til the early hours! security didn't seem to mind and the culprits were the sited vans!
Dont try to book over the phone, just send a cheque. Not very customer friendly.
I read the reviews before I booked this site and I have to say that its a shame the small minority of people have to spoil it for everyone, however, I do feel that the owners should take some responsibility and maybe have a re-think about what type of units they allow onto their site?
This site has a lot to offer and the owners have spent a lot of money on the showers / toilets.

3rd visit this year and we love it here. Shops pubs and fair really close by. Facilities are modern and were spotless on arrival but tended to get dirty around midday. Prices are not exactly cheap and £3.00 per night for our dog (jack russell) was expensive.
All in all a good site with children play area and kept neat and tidy. Will be using it regularly in 09 due to proximity of the beach and shops etc.
