Toilets, showers, laundry etc all very clean. Plenty of hook ups though I didn't need one.
Whilst some other reviewers don't seem to mind there being no playground, it's a place for children to meet others. I had two ten year olds with me and they appreciated the cleanliness but not the lack of a playground and didn't want to stay a second night, overall they preferred Shell Island despite it's portaloos. They liked the Tir Prince funfair though about a mile away towards Rhyl.
It is handy for all that Towyn and Rhyl have to offer but I doubt I'd stay again. Having said that I can see how it would appeal to some people, I'm just not one of them!

What a smashing site!
Centrally located for all Towyn has to offer & on a bus route for easy access to all the surrounding area.
Ok there is no Clubhouse, but is that really a bad thing? Theres lots of watering holes nearby. There was even a burger van permanently situated on site & a daily visit from the ice-cream van too. Immaculate, level, grass pitches, lots of EHU's, excellent shower & toilet facilities & the owners were kind enough to exchange our gas bottle late at night when we ran out, with no complaints (thankyou!)
We loved it at Henllys & will definitely be returning again & again.

We camped on this glorious site for a few days during half term. The site is superb. Don't be put off by the supposedly lack of facilities ie bar etc. The showers and toilet block were always immaculate - and there are plenty of showers, we never had to queue and the water was lovely and hot! The camping field was clean and tidy and bins were emptied at least twice a day. We never saw any litter around the site. The hook-up area looked well maintained with paths and well-cut grass. Our boys revelled in the freedom and space. A group of campers spoilt our last night by being rowdy and talking and laughing and playing loud music until 4am; however, they were swiftly removed from the site the next morning. Usually the site was quiet by half past ten. We will certainly use this site again; it is welcoming, clean and good value for money.

This was our first visit to this campsite, and on arrival I was quite impressed. It is a lovely, clean and well maintained site. We have 2 children and with the park on site my boys were quite happy. The toilets and showers were spotless and you often saw the cleaner in there.
There is nothing else on site ie pub or children's entertainment but there are other sites nearby which allow visitors to visit. There is also a chip shop not far away which do lovely food and there is also a takeaway close by, which we did ot try out.
There is a fair and arcades in walking distance and Rhyl not far away in the car.
We visit Wales a lot and will definitely be visiting this site again in the near future.

No leisure facilities to speak of ie pool, bar, site shop. But there was a Spa 5mins walk away and also a reasonable pub and takeaway on the same spot.
The grounds were very well kept and they had a Burger van type thing on site which was reasonably priced and open long hrs. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were superb and absolutely spotless great and very modern, more than enough space for me and the kids to shower in the one cubicle, mens and womens toilets and showers are in the same blocks but completely separate.
They do have a small play area for the children that isnt to bad but there is so much with in a short walk or drive that you don't miss having these things on site. All in all a great time away and will defo use this site again.

We always feel at home and relaxed (home away from home) we have 3 kids 1 of them was only 4 months old on her first visit. Only 1 thing to point out is the campsite next door can be very noisy at times in the nights but its to be expected as people visit north wales to have a good time.
The toilets are very clean and the shower blocks. Everyone that worked on the site was very welcoming and friendly. Outside the camp there is everything you need ie. the wendover, the spar shop and the fish and chip shop.
Down the road at the race track you have a sunday market and car boot and also the fair ground. You are also 10 mins from the beach.
I would recommend this site to anyone that asks. Not far from Towyn is rhyl beach, Llandudno beach and also Prestatyn.

This is a good site, although we thought it was a a little expensive. We cannot complain about the standard and cleanliness of the toilet and shower blocks though, they were spotless when we stayed.
Whilst we were there it was very windy, and the camping field is very exposed,in fact, there is nothing to shelter tents from the wind whatsoever. The field is large so there is need to be too close to another unit although it does get very busy weekends and bank holidays.
It is close to the amenities of Towyn (everything is in walking distance)fairground etc. We would recommend it to families with children and we would use this site again.

We have just got back from staying at Henley's.
We shall not be going back again, a continual surrounding wall of noise continued into the small hours with no escape.
A large party from Liverpool seemed to take over the surrounding area where we were from early afternoon, and our stay became a nightmare.
My wife went to the reception to complain with no effect, as she could not make contact with staff or owners This was around ten o'clock.
My phone cut off when I did manage to get through at around two in the morning and so we were left with no way to escape the laughter singing and goings on from a tent not ten yards from our tent.
Neither my wife or myself are in the best of health and we felt intimidated by the behaviour that we experienced last night.
If you want peace and quiet, it is our experience, that Henley's is not the place for you.

We (a family of 5, plus our dog) stayed at Henllys during the Bank Holiday weekend.
The site is centrally and conveniently situated close to local shops and pubs. The beach, fairgrounds and amusements are also only a short walk away meaning plenty of things to do to keep the children amused if you don't mind spending a fortune in the process!
This is a very large site with plenty of EHU pitches and a huge non-electric field with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
We pitched on the non-electric field. The ground was fairly level all round and the pitches were roomy.
We were very disappointed with cleanliness of the toilet and shower block. Obviously we were there at a very busy time, but even that can't excuse how dirty the facilities had got. I do think it was more down to inconsiderate guests rather than the site owners, but more really needs to be done. Also, despite there are being a couple of toilet blocks, the closest one shuts in the evening and opens again in the morning - so don't forget your bucket!
The noise levels of this site were also poor, despite there being security on site. There was music still blaring throughout the early hours (1.30/2.00am) and the language from other campers was foul!
The site owners did, however, take concerns very seriously and offenders were asked to leave the site.
Overall, this has the potential to be lovely site but I wouldn't visit again.

Been to Henllys a few times this year the last visit being august bank holiday. I like the site has its always been friendly and affordable for everyone. I found everything too be always clean and everything is close to what you need to make your holiday enjoyable. I would recommend anyone too try it and see for themselves. All kinds of different people are camping and most were friendly. Definitely going again next year.
