This is a great site with plenty of potential.
I believe this site would benefit from a wireless access point come on it is 2008! and some drainage facilities as the 'field' does get really flooded which causes disruption and upset to people. Who goes on holiday to wade through mud each time they leave their caravan or tent ?
After a night of rain I did notice the laundry room was full to bursting with people mainly campers washing mud covered sleeping bags and quilts, and what happens after these people have used the machines how do you think your whites will come out after all that mud has been running around in the drum! You will infact be paying £2.50 to ruin your clothes!.
Drainage is the answer considering the fees this site charges it wouldnt be that expensive to adapt some drainage into the field.
Everything else is there its very up to date even the owners will give you a 'down to earth' conversation they are not above you or 'snobbish' they are normal everyday people.
We all have moans and groans about everything but honestly this is a great site and like I said it has potential.

We have just returned from a weekend break on this lovely site, you pay at reception and then go and choose where you want to pitch.
The pitches are a good size, but not hard standing.
The shower block and toilet blocks are exceptional & always clean, the showers are lovely and warm they are also very spacious my only comment would be you could do with more hooks to hang clothes on but apart from that they are 1st class.
There is a burger van on site with tables & chairs outside, although we did not sample this facility it seemed very popular.
The site is with in walking distance of plenty of shops, clubs, take aways and a big out door market is on on Saturdays.
We went to the beach near to the station(Somerfield supermarket nextdoor)but it is a pebble beach yet the kids & dogs enjoyed it then we went to the beach near the funfair which you have to access via a bridge over the train lines. The latter one we walked to but it was quite away so you may be better to drive further towards Kimmel & go on there.
Overall it was a very good site real value for money and we would go back again.

First time on this site, found it to be very clean with good amenities. Hard to find beach (more than 5 minutes away) hard to find level pitch, maybe due to all the rain we have had. Some of the other campers are very rowdy at night (no consideration for others)not your usual camping crowd.

Just come back from this site after a week there. Been going on and off there for a few years now and I must say how the park has come on in recent years with the addition of the burger bar and upgraded shower units. Which are now free I may add and lovely and warm. I wouldn't say its suitable for families with very small children as it was very noisy of a night with people arguing (and I do mean arguing) lol
And also there seems to be an influx of teenagers intent on hanging round the gate entrance to the tent field, getting drunk and being very loud although there is security on the gate. Well there was after two days stay anyway probably due to the fact that it was coming up to bank holiday weekend. It was situated right at the top entrance where you come in so wouldn't hear all the noise coming from the bottom tent field.
As we found out one morning when the owner, Mrs Kerfoot came on her rounds and pulled up to say that there was a lot of noise coming from the gate and the first tent which is where we were pitched. As we were out and came back and went to sleep straight away it wasn't us so we explained and she was quite polite about it. Once we explained that there was a load of teenagers hanging round and about all shouting she said she was going to have a word with security. Sure enough the next night it was a lot quieter and we saw the security guy patrolling down the bottom field.
It used to be a proper family site but now you seem to have kids as young as 14 and 15 walking round with cans of lager in hand. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed our stay but just wish the parents of some of the said teenagers kept them in tow a bit better. Just one other minor bugbear was that upon talking to a few other campers each one of us had been chargeed differently. 3 different prices for each person although my price I paid was correct lol But I would like to add that its a well run park and very close to all ammenities and within walking distance of all shops arcades takeaways etc.

Been here a few times now. Site is friendly with people milling about all the time, although can be a bit loud at times but hey your on holiday Hoping to go back again this year, next week, but looking at the price structure it's a bit steep for a basic pitch ,but there seems to be no other sites in the area, so I presume that's why the prices are like they are.

We have been coming here for years but more so the last four years as it's easy to get to on A55. We always get a pitch, it's always spotless even on busy periods. Thanks to Nelly and Joe very nice people. Close to everything, no trouble lots of good times. Thank you all.

I first visited this site many years ago, as a child I always remember the board outside the site displaying the site fees - £3.00 per night with electric hook up ! I like this site and now take the caravan in April and leave it here til September /October . This site has come a long way since I was a child the best improvement for me are the paths I was very pleased to see the old dusty puddle filled paths go and new tarmac paths in their place. Although I don't use the showers and toilet facilities I believe them to be very good and now very modern there is even a digital hairdryer ! The owners Mr and Mrs Kerfoot have very high standards and this shows the way they keep this site, even the enclosed dog exercise area is clean. Although there is no entertainment on site other than the toilet attendant/ cleaner she can be quite entertaining if you are prepared to listen to her "stories" (id pass on that if i was you) there is plenty to do within the surrounding area and all within walking distance. Another good addition I believe is the catering trailer that has been on site now for some 4 years selling everything from breakfasts to candy floss and sweets for the children. This is run and owned by Dianne and Keith who are very friendly people nothing is too much trouble for them whether its a sausage and egg barm (highly recommended!) or just a cup of tea and a chat they always find time for you. I could go on all day but really you need to visit this site and experience it for yourself - i'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Just came back from a fantastic break, 29th may - 2nd June 07, the weather was great, we arrived and was told to basically pitch where we wanted, there was a huge tent site that has no electric hook up, we pitched up on the electric part mixed with caravans, trailer tents, the pitch was big as we have a 12man tent and there was ample space, we were right near the gate to the non-electric this was a great spot as you can see who's coming and going (I'm noisy like that.hehe), We met some really nice people on the site, everyone we chatted to was really friendly, which made a nice place to be There was lots of kids too, we all went and played rounders on the lard tent Field. There is 2 blocks of toilets, 1 closes at 10pm but the other ones are open all night, these have the showers in I must say that they are immaculately clean, I was very impressed, there is also a laundry room, £2.50 for 1 wash, dryers 50p for 5 mins (which I was really gob-smacked) but to be honest they are quite powerful, I had 15mins and they were nearly dry, (I will be taking a washing line and pegs next time to be honest). oh also take your own washing powder and softener she charged me £1 for a speckle. There is a play ground but my kids are older so they didn't go, but I was told that its nice for under 5s (ish) Prices are roughly £18per night, + 1per night for your car +1 for electric hook up,+£1 per night for a dog. beach and local amenities about 10 mins walk. We have booked to go back in August. really nice , clean, pleasant place

I have visited Henllys a few times in the past years and I am very pleased with the high standard of pleasantness, also I am very happy with all the new facilities. The showers are hot, The toilets are clean and the staff are exceptionally nice people, Especially Mr and Mrs Price. They helpfuly made our holiday pleasant. The security on the site made us feel safe. It was brilliant! Nelly and Joe couldn't do enough for us! Nothing was too much trouble for them. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both of them for making our stay as enjoyable as it could be! Many thanks, Mr and Mrs Bull.
