Stayed at this site last week, had a wonderful time. The site is kept very tidy and the toilet & shower block were spotless and lovely and warm. The sea view from our caravan was lovely,
The site is well situated to travel to the surrounding areas you can even catch a bus outside the Stiddy Pub direct to Whitby which runs every half hour, Robin Hoods bay is 9 miles away and is a lovely place to visit also.
The Stiddy Pub was very welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely meal can highly recommend the home made steak pie, amazing! Will certainly be back for another visit in the summer,

Fantastic site. Stayed over Easter weekend. Gorgeous sea views from the caravan. We had a hard standing pitch which was perfect. Shower block was superb, well heated with hot and powerful showers. Pub next to site entrance is run by the same man who also runs the camp site. Excellent 'home cooked' food. Very friendly site wardens and good adjacent enclosed field which we could let our dog off in. Great walks down to the beach at Sandsend. The village of Lythe is very quaint with a lovely village hall and children's play area. Not a big site so facilities are not vast but are just what you need and are all new. Excellent every aspect. We really enjoyed it and will be back again.

Just returned from a 4 night stay. There was a group of 7 of us and David and the wardens were all very friendly and accommodating.
The site is in a lovely location with a new, clean and well maintained toilet and shower block. Ideally situated behind the stiddy pub. The site is approx 4 miles from Whitby and 1 mile from sandsend both of which make lovely walks but if you don't fancy a walk there is a bus stop at the end of the drive. We also got a mini bus number from David which was £15 for an 8 seater.
Adults, kids and dogs were made to feel very welcome in the pub, the staff were really friendly, the food was lovely and we had great fun at the Sunday bingo quiz.
What we really appreciated was that we were welcomed as a group and not perceived as a bunch of rowdy hooligans. The site rules are few and just a case of using your common sense which is so refreshing. The only slight issue is that some of the pitches are not level and chocs are required however that is a small price to pay for the lovely friendly campsite in a great location.
Thanks to the owner and crew, The dead pink flamingos will be back !

Excellent site. Well maintained, excellent Shower and Toilet facilities warm and very clean even a radio playing while you shower. Owners and wardens very friendly and always helpful. Enjoyed our stay.
The Pub is only yards away with GREAT food and a warm welcoming atmosphere.
Bonus is a bus to Whitby every half hour most days, I think Sunday is every hour, or a walk to Sandsend (the walk over the fields wont be for everyone but for those who have no walking issues will find it, relatively an easy walk with a few tricky places to cope with) so no need to move the Motorhome.
I can see this place becoming one of our favourites and will definitely be back.

This site is small and has some great views. The shower block is clean and the showers were great. The local pub The Stiddy is friendly and serves the best Whitby Scampi and Chips in town. Dogs were aloud inside which gave us the freedom to go even on New Years Eve. This will definitely mean we will go again.
Our only disappointment was that we booked hard standing - being December, but we didn't get it and had to move the Van after someone else had left 2 nights later.

Our first visit to this site over new year. Its a lovely site and will stay again. The toilet block was clean and lovely and warm with plenty of hot water.
I would appear that both owners and wardens were new to the camping scene and have offered some suggestions as follows.
It would be helpful if there was a notice informing people of nearest doctors, dentist, vet & hospital etc
An information display unit holding leaflets on local attractions
A shortage of hooks in wash basin area to hang towels, coats etc
Being an all year site a few more hardstanding pitches would be helpful as we had to pitch on the drive.
We will as I stated stay again

Just arrived home after spending an amazing weekend in one of the Pods. The site is small and friendly, great for people with children.
The shower blocks are immaculate and lovely and warm as they have under floor heating. Views are spectacular. Over the fields out to sea. We took the children to a nearby playground in the village which was very close by. The pub is very friendly and we all enjoyed a good meal there on our second evening. We also rented a firepit, which was great value for money. They provided us with enough logs to keep it alight for a week!
All in all, an excellent stay and myself and the children can't wait to return next spring!

Just returned from this lovely little site after a weekend camping. Great little site with a very friendly feel, site manager very helpful and pleasant and overlooking the sea at sandsend.
Arrived on Friday and pitched up before sampling the delights of the pub next to the site (The Stiddy), run by the same people who run the site. Can thoroughly recommend eating there, the food was lovely and the real ale just as nice!
Nice clean toilet block but concerned it may be a little small when they expand next year and apparently put more pods on the field next door they acquired. Whilst we had no children with us there are no play areas etc for the little ones, other than the fields of course!
Will definitely be returning though, already planning our next visit

We are just back from staying 13 nights at the lythe caravan and camping site a great little site in a very nice area. Lovely views and good location for walks…
We were met by a lovely friendly couple (site managers) who told us where everything we needed to know was and where we could set up.
In some areas the site has slight sloping pitches but did not bother us.
Toilets and dishwasher area are as new and really clean, site well laid out.
Very handy for local pub in which the landlord owns the caravan site who is very friendly …
The stiddy pub serves food we tried the sunday lunch which was excellent (recommended)
It also has a village shop. 200yds away that sell all the basics you would need.
Sandsend is just down the hill. Nice walk down but we caught the bus back you will see why if you go. Sandsend has very nice beach and great for the little ones…
Whitby is about 4 miles (10min drive) away we caught the bus one day £9. 60 return (2 adults) so not too bad a price.
We are definitely going to return again very soon.

Not impressed with this site. The sea view was a gap in the hedge about 3FT wide that you could only see standing up. The site was crowded the weekend we arrived and the first night a group of lads and girls opposite had a fire pit and the awning and caravan filled with smoke they were shouting till gone midnight. Had to stay a week after paying upfront before we got there but went somewhere else for the second week.
