Not a great site. After being emailed and told when to arrive to suit them, the owner couldn't be bothered to be there! A nice lady next door gave us a bit of paper, and a vague point in the direction of our pitch.
If it wasn't for beautiful view of the sea (that most pitches don't get) and Covid closing lots of sites for tents I would have asked for a refund.
Toilets have no toilet paper to avoid contact???? You still have to press the button to flush and open the door! Showers were luke warm at best. Taps run for 2 seconds on each push. Cleaned every day but got very dirty in there and didn't feel Covid safe. No freezer (covid)?!
Pitch a bit small for 5 berth tent and car. Electrics dangerous with main lead coming over hedge and we plugged into another extension rather than a box.
Strict instructions to leave by 10am means an early wake up to pack a tent. Wouldn't recommend or return.

We visited this campsite in August which we found to be in a beautiful and quiet location with sea views and only a short distance from both Sandsend (about half hour walk) and Whitby which was about an hours walk along the beach.
The campsite itself was very friendly and the shower / toilet block was impeccably clean. Although the water in the showers wasn't very hot.
I have already recommended this site to family who I know will be visiting here as will we again very soon. Definitely recommend.

The campsite was ok to start with but few days into the holiday, groups was turning up and was out late drinking and loud.
Dogs must be kept on lead, ours was but some wasn't as the tent next to us left at 10am when the next campers turned up there was dog mess all over there pitch.
Shame as was a nice site

A great place to stay if you like to party late in the evening, but if you like a quiet site this may not be the one for you.
Their only rule is please be quiet by 10. 30, but quite a few people were ignoring this.
After saying that the site is nice, shower block is kept clean, had to bring our own toilet paper though, site wardens were helpful.
Pod are lovely and cosy and clean and warm.
Well situated for local beaches and attractions, nice community village store 2 minute walk away.

The site is perfectly placed for a holiday exploring the North Yorkshire coast. Sands End is in walking distance but up and down a huge hill.
Whitby is a few mins drive away so great for a day out and food. The shower and facilities block is modern and clean and managers are near by.
Some COVID rules but people just seem to be using common sense.

We really liked this site as it was well organised within the COVID 19 regulations, no fuss, well-managed and friendly.
The bus into Whitby is every 30 mins, bus stop right at the Site entrance, local shop well stocked and great walking, views from the pitch and facilities.

I was put up at short notice and given a pitch with no hookup as that was all that was available.
The pitch was separate from the rest which I really liked as, I did not disturb anyone with my phone chats, so I decided to stay there even though on day 2 there were options.
The toilet block was clean and a system in place to help us feel safe.
Chris was always there during the day to answer questions and help when needed.
I have no hesitation recommending this site.
