We have just returned from a 5 night visit to this site and had an enjoyable relaxing time.My Husband and I and 2 chidren in our tourer caravan with electric hook up and a porch awning cost £115.Oo for the 5 nights.

The area was fantastic all the locals seemed friendly and the children loved the clean beach. The local shops are not far from the site and didn't seem over priced.

The warden/owners were very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough to help us.

The shower/toilet facilities were spotlessly clean. The showers cost 10p and lasted approx 5mins with hot water. The dishwashing facility was also spotless. I noticed there was freezers you could use but we didn't use these.

My son had a fantastic time with us on the playing field and climbing frame area. We enjoyed playing badminton, football, table tennis in the outdoor play areas. We had our own bats balls etc but was told on arrival if we wanted some just to go to the office and we could borrow some aslong as we took them back. The site was well maintained. We had a picnic table outside our caravan with a pretty flower planter and lamp.

I can honestly say I have not got a gripe with the site and would definitely return again.

Just returned from this site. We have visited Plas Uchaf 4 years in a row and have always rated it as an absolutely perfect site, hence the return visits.

However this year, we noticed a distinct downturn in the site. I am unsure whether there has been a change in management, or ownership, or even just cleaners, but the difference around the place was noticable. The toilets and showers were not as clean, despite the site being less busy than last year. The bowl would be cleaned but there would be urine splashes around the toilet and on the lids. The showers were also not as clean. It was quite noisy at night with young teens and kids in the play areas and generally around the site. The pitches were not as well kept (they had been perfectly maintained before) and there was litter about the place.

This all sounds very negative.Mostly because I am comparing to how it was previously. But from a site for which I would have given consistently 10/10 in all areas,it was a bit of a shame to see a deterioration.

I really hope they are back on form soon as this was in my top 5 campsites.

Having never visited this site before, we booked on previous reviews - agreed with them all & weather was glorious throughout our stay.

Owner friendly & always around, site well maintained.

Pitches spacious. Good open play areas for children.

Toilet/shower facilities clean and plenty of them.

Under cover dishwashing facilities.

Small dog walking area on site - enough for morning and evening (some owners bit inconsiderate, not cleaning up after their pets). Bigger dog walking paths around the outside of site.

Shopping - Spar in Benllech (5 mins drive away - 20 min walk), Asda & Iceland in Llangefni (about 10 mins drive away), Morrisons & Tesco in Holyhead (about 30 mins drive away)- There maybe some nearer.

Anglesey is lovely, plenty to see and do. Some really nice beaches / coves.

Will definitely go back - but don't tell anyone else or wont be able to get on this site.

We've been here for three years on the trot. Always slightly out of season when it is really quiet but still the same excellent service.

Excellent facilities including showers and toilet blocks. Grassed areas well manicured. Play areas for those with children, picnic tables and plenty of open space. Very safety conscious, with fire fighting equipment and safety signs which reflects Phil, the site owner's, former career as a fireman.

Pubs, convenience shops and beaches within a short driving distance (Benllech Bay), not sure about a bus service as we travelled by car.

Looking forward to going back again next year (2009) to do some sea fishing, plane spotting (RAF Valley is a must for the kids) and some birdwatching.

I suppose that as a lifelong lover of Anglesey, I am slightly biased towards the Isle, but something keeps dragging me back there.

Well what can I say other than excellent site, we have been for 8 nights in Aug 07 and 08.Very friendly wardens level pitches great for our 2 boys- played with their 07 friends in the forest/middle of the tent field.

Clean facilities always- excellent cannot fault

Would recommend / love to go back / didn't want to leave / will go back.

But perhaps we should try somewhere else!?

And Anglesey is great too! TOP SITE.

Friendly staff showed us to the driest pitch they could as the weather had (still was) terrible. Our first night was spent mostly awake praying for the tent to still be there when we got up! The pitch was on a very slight slope so we were lucky and didn't need the wellies around out tent - only for the tiniest patch of non tarmac'd field near the toilets.

The toilets were always clean and plenty of loo rolls. Never had to wait for a shower or the loos. Always hot water for washing up.

The site was well maintained.

Kids disappeared and only came back at feeding time. Safe site.

We had booked for 7 nights but due to changing our car and not being able to get it taxed over the weekend, we could only make it for 5 nights. We were ony charged for 5 nights, which I was very pleased about.

Would stop here again.

What a great site we have just spent 5 nights here and although it was raining most of the time, it was great, our 3 kids had a fantastic time, we hardly saw them. We found this site to be very family friendly and the wardens were really friendly too. The toilet/shower blocks were always lovely and clean.

Although there is no shop on site there are quite a few shops and chippy`s near by and Benllech beach is great.

We will certainly be going back again and recommending it to everyone we know

A truly fantastic site. Possibly the best we have stayed at. Really friendly wardens, VERY dog friendly and child friendly with clean toilets and showers. Lots of space for the kids to explore including play area with slides etc, football pitch, badminton court, forest area, close enough to beach and shops.Level pitches with plenty of space even for large tents. Highly recommended!

Just got back from a 5 night stay at this lovely campsite. The warden took us to our pitch on arrival {in the torrential rain!} he was very friendly. The pitches were very spacious and they only allow you to pitch round the edge of the field so there is loads of space for the children to play in the middle. Our 2 boys aged 6 and 4 had a brilliant time playing football and cricket with the other kids(and adults!). They also enjoyed playing at the park area which was very safe. The shower facilities were excellent there was a free shower at the block near our field or the other showers are only 10p for about 6 mins, they were both kept very clean.

In benllech there were plenty of small supermarkets and a petrol station, and loads of fish and chip shops and other takeaways, the beach was also really nice although we found a nicer one at lligwy where there were loads of rock pools once the tide went out, there was also a small shop and a burger van , it was £2.50 to park all day.

We will definitely go back to this campsite and recommend it to family and friends.
