Just returned from a five night break with the family at Plas-Uchaf on the second part of our trip to Wales and Anglesey.
Narrow lane to get to site although the odd passing place, not easy to reverse if towing to allow vehicles to pass.
We were shown to our pitch on arrival (Blue Field), slightly disapointed with a sloped pitch with such a large tent when other pitches lay vacant.
Very windy at times but didn't distact from what is a very well kept site with friendly helpful owners and warden.
Kids able to play at the various play areas and cycle around the site without having to worry them.
Dog walk ok for smaller dogs but ours needed a bigger area to run which the nearby beaches were ideal for.
Local Tesco nearby; however, the location next to the road junction and minimal parking was a challenge in itself but as others have stated the fish and chip shop next door is a must visit!
If your into cycling the roads around this area are great for the climbs and even better for the decent.
Tried to stay an additional night; however, our pitch was booked out as soon as we were to leave and although the owner was able to accommodate us on another pitch it would have pretty much lost the day in relocating all of our kit.
In short this is a great site, good facilities, good for families only down side is the lack of laundry facilities and a small shop offering basics would be a huge benefit.
Would certainly visit again!

Once again we have been to this site for many years. the facilities are very good clean. there is a new block now which is 1st class. the showers are strong jet and work on a push button system which is better than the older block. The older block is clean to a high standard but you do have to put 10p in which I have to put two 10p as one is not long enough. The reason for the 10p is that people used to leave the showers on when finished so needed to stop so that other people can have a nice shower. Make sure you have a bag of 10p other than that don't know what else to say shops are near by about 15 mins work and 30 mins walk for the beach. The warden is very helpful EG my awning was broke and needed putting in the skip and he told me just leave it on your pitch and I will sort it out for me this was his day off as well. The owner is also a lovely person who always takes time to stop and chat the site is kept clean and self for the kids as there is a 5mph limit and there is only one road in and one road out. For family's this site is the best to go but if you r a group of young lads or girls then don't go as there is no noise after 10 and kids have to come back to there tents/ caravans. All pitch's are round the perimeter and there is a designated football and play area for the kids to play over all I would recommend this site for all family's

Just back from Plas Uchaf after staying for 8 nights. 1 night was free, ( offer ). £23 per night low season ( which was enough ). Not easy to find, and narrow roads to site. Pray you don't meet another car and caravan coming towards you. Site is very big having 7 fields, 2 of which are taken up by private chalet / bungalows. Other 5 fields have plenty of room for tents and vans ( quite a few parked up for the season ) with washrooms / showers in each field. Some showers are 10 p a time. Which I thought was mean. NO SHOP. NO LAUNDRY or dryers or ironing etc. V poor mobile reception, no internet reception at all on site. Small dog walk but ok. Water and electric at all pitches. Kids play areas. Site was very well maintained and clean. Although it was very very quiet. Only about 7 or 8 tourers and a few tents.
Site owner and manager and wife were very helpful and nice people. Some have said you can walk to beach. But it's too far from site. And yes it's a nice sheltered beach. There are areas for dogs, and clear waters. Fish and chips next to Tesco, but be prepared to queue. Very good.

Just got back from a great week at this site. I can't fault anything the toilets are immaculate, in fact the hole site is very well kept. I took my 2 boys and nephew ages 4, 6, 9 and I felt very safe to let them do there own thing. The site is very child friendly.
The staff and owners are very helpful on arrival showing you to your pitch and they are there to answer any questions needed.
There is a tesco express in the village with an amazing chippy next door (it's a must try). The beach is a 20 min walk and also very nice.

We stayed at this site for 4 nights. The field we were in was slopping, so putting up a tent in hight winds was a challenge. The bathroom facilities were faultless, perfectly clean and new. The sports and playground facilities were amazing. Playgrounds, football pitches, grass tennis courts etc were great. Sadly the service from the staff was lacking, asking them a simple question resulted in curt replies.

This is a lovely site for a toddler, and we booked it through the camping and caravan club. The pitches are large and well-spaced so our toddler couldn't be heard by our neighbours, or so they said! This site is several fields, with hedges rather than one large field, and it was therefore well-sheltered.
This site had a very friendly feel to it, and the wardens seemed friendly. We have a tent, but it was mostly caravans = but this meant that the shower blocks were quiet! ` Showers, even in the older blocks were very warm and even though it was Easter I wasn't cold when showering. These are some of the cleanest facilities I've seen, and I was brought up on caravan holidays.
Behind the play area is a wooded walk / rough area that I found handy to keep the toddler occupied in early in the morning, so that his playing out wouldn't disturb others.
There is a Tesco and a chippy a few quick minutes away in the car and the beach is about 5mins by car also. Sadly I did not get chance to sample the local pudding shop. Benllech beach has toilets which is handy too.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here, mainly because it was a quieter site.

We stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend with our 2 children. The site is one of the best we have stayed on, immaculate shower & toilet block with plenty of hot water & free hairdryer. The warden was really helpful and showed us to our pitch, . Large pitches with own water supply, electric etc as well as filled fire buckets. Play ground for kids as well as grassed area for football / games etc. Also a wooded area for them to run around away from tents etc. Very clean, well maintained site which has a relaxed friendly feel. Tesco within walking distance & pubs that serve hot meals. NOTE check postcode, I inadvertently put owners details in the Sat Nav and ended up miles away from the site although to be fair the website does point this out! I scored 9 for location as its a bit of a trek back from the beach with young ones down a country lane but this didn't spoil our enjoyment.

Visited here for 5 nights in early September. It is a lovely, well kept site. The owner is always busy keeping it pristine and he always had a friendly wave for you. We were positioned next to his new toilet block which was excellent and always kept clean and they were lovely large shower rooms. The playground was good and the pitch was a good size. Could not fault it. It also helped that we had 5 days of good weather and could go on the surrounding beaches. There is a well stocked Tesco down the round which was handy for when we ran out of supplies. Will definitely visit again.

Fantastic site one of the most well maintained ever visited. Very spacious pitches all with own water tap and hook up point even had solid picnic benches to share ! Toilets and showers were kept clean at all times and the new shower block was superb with free showers in large cubicles.
Wardens were extremely friendly and helpful and the whole site had a nice friendly feel to it.
The children loved the freedom of being able to play in the wooded area and the play park and we felt they were safe to just roam and play just as kids used to do years ago !
Will definitely be going back again

Exceptionally clean, well maintained Site, big pitches with taps and EHU on each pitch. Solid picnic tables to share and we were located directly next to the children play areas. We were 3 families and we all loved staying here. We have very young children and we felt it was a very safe place for them to run around and explore. The staff/wardens were very good.
No shop but a good new Tesco Express 1 mile down the Road and we were well stocked on arrival anyway.
We all said that we will definitely stay here again.
