This is the 3rd year we have stayed at this site, the children don't want to go anywhere else! Site warden meets you upon arrival, takes you to your pitch, we have stayed in every field so far through our choice! And never had any problems, children go off playing either on the park or in the woods or on bikes. Bats and balls are available from the reception to loan for free! The site is clean, toilet and shower block are clean, wardens are very friendly, happy to help if need be. Not too far to walk into Benllech which has shops, chippy, tesco extra, spar, co-op not forgetting the pud shop! We have had great holidays here and are returning again in august!

Just arrived home after a fabulous week staying at this lovely caravan and camping site. Living in North Wales and having visited Anglesey many many times, this is without doubt run by the most sincere and helpful owner and his wardens. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Shower/toilets were immaculate, the grounds and flower tubs are a credit to their tireless efforts. If you have children there is an excellent play. We will definitely be returning!

Not much to say other than wonderful ! the site was immaculate and kept spotless. Great flat pitches on well maintained grass (like pitching on old Trafford !) which had their own water tap and electric hook up. The Playground was great for the kids and the staff was friendly and easy to approach. Beach and shops a short walk away and wonderful views. Great place to explore Anglesey from. There were a number (ample) of good solid picnic benches which could be moved and used around the pitches which was a really nice touch, Definitely will be visiting again

My friends, family and I cannot rate this campsite highly enough! It is immaculate and the ground is great and beautifully maintained. On arival at the wardens office a lovely guy jumped in his car and we followed him to our pitch. There are quite a few fields/zones-all maintained to a very high standard.
The facilities are excellent and 10p for a shower for ages was a bargain! Hardly saw the children as there was a brilliant park, a hut in the woods ( which I was blindfolded and lead to as it was their haunted school hut?!), tennis/badminton and table tennis there.
Stunning walks and views nearby and Benllech beach with a few other beaches/coves too. We went to the part of the beach where dogs are allowed; a bit of a walk but worth it as the beach was much better;cleaner and the sand and rock pools were just great for the children. The glorious weather helped!
There is a fab chippy in Benllech next to Tesco express and over the road down a driveway is an amazing Pud shop with a huge selection of cheesecakes and puddings. I had a toffoc one (Welsh toffee vodka which is made on the Island of Anglesey!).
The campsite was just perfect and we will definitely be going back there and highly recommending it.

Fully agree with all of the previous comments. This is a beautifully well kept site and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideally located near to Benllech beach. When the weather is good the view is fabulous. Really handy for the shops too without being too close.
Only downside was the access route which is quite a long single track road with few passing places. Scary stuff for us relatively inexperienced caravanners. That was the only downside though, apart from that it was absolutely lovely.

Well what can I say just back from our holiday in Benllech and the campsite once again did not let us down. It rained for most of our holiday however the field that we camped in never got water logged as the drainage was excellent the warden was very helpful and the owner was very understanding and we had an extra day because the tent was too wet to pack up and the owner understands that wet tents don’t go away very well and the normal time is 11 am to depart the site however they said I could leave at 4 pm so I could get my tent away dry it’s just another way in which this site helps you out.
After all the rain you would expect the toilet block to be muddy well it was not at all, it was kept clean to the high standard we have known since we have been going to the site
Once again I would recommend this site to any family it’s a top site and you are always made to feel welcome.

Stumbled across this campsite on this website and glad I did (it doesn't have a website of its own so I would've struggled to discover it). It is a little gem. Very near Benllech, although we had a two year old, and roads were too 'country' to walk with a buggy and five year old who would've struggled with the walk up the hill back, but it wasn't an issue, we just drove the short distance. Overspill car park reasonably priced and just a short walk to the lovely beach.
The site itself is very well kept and nicely laid out. Our pitch was really spacious and super-level, no slopy tables n chairs! We were near the little wooden shower room which made my heart sink when I saw it, one shower with toilet in and one toilet cubicle. For the whole field. However, we NEVER queued for the toilet or a shower. It's a mystery as it was quite busy! So my fears weren't really realised. There are a couple more bigger shower blocks though and the site is so nicely sized, nothing is too far away. Toilets and showers were always clean and there was always toilet paper too.
The set up in our field was great, (blue field) all the tents round the outside, and space for kids to play in the middle where we could keep an eye on them. The kids go round a bit on their scooters, but why wouldn't you on your holidays, but they were a lovely group of kids and were never a bother. The site was peaceful and quiet at bedtime, and quiet in the morning (no 6am wake ups in fact there wasn't a murmer of noise until gone 9am).
The play ground is fab and really well made. The tennis court and table tennis tables are also a nice touch, as is the freezer for the ice packs.
Overall a really lovely site. Little touches like beautiful flower tubs and lots of picnic tables on the pitches are really welcome. The most noticeable thing about this site was how friendly all the other campers were. I've never been to a campsite where everyone is so pleasant and smiley. A real bonus. We'll definitely be going back.

We have been going this site for 4 years and we all love it that's me, wife and 3 kids
The toilet block is kept very clean and the facilities also of a high standard
The shops are only a 10 min walk away and there is a asda about 15mins drive from the site
There is only one road in to the site so this makes it very safe for my kids who play all day and make new friends every time we come
I would recommend this site to any family who want a nice safe clean site for their hols, in fact friends of mine and my mum and dad also stop here
The wardens and owners are only to happy to help you with anything

My extended family have been seasonal on this site for well over a decade and before this visited regularly with van and tent. In fact since it cost just a few quid a night!
Facilities are clean, adequate and all that is needed for a comfortable stay including Elsan, toilets, showers, hair dryer, separate dish wash, waste disposal, freezers and dog walks. Swings, slides, an adventure playground, a shed, table tennis and open space to play and ride their bikes are all that the kids need.
My 'wish list' would include improving the hot water in the big block as it takes ages to run hot. Spray taps have been fitted to save water but in reality so much has to be wasted before it gets hot this would seem counter-productive and also wastes gas. Lastly the cubicles in the gents could be better lit - although I guess Wales is the best place to buy a miners lamp - ideally on a helmet for this purpose!
Plas Uchaf is a little out of Benllech which makes the location idyllic and quiet whilst being close enough to walk to the shops or beach (steep hill to climb back).
Currently, with young children 9 and 3, we find the site comes into its own. It is a safe as can be and this aspect is enhanced by a close knit but open and welcoming group of campers (including the wardens and the owner) who always keep an eye out for the kids.
This environment allows rare freedom for the kids to play in the extensive grounds which include games fields, woods and the infamous 'den'. It is great to see the tribes of kids (weekly regulars, annual regulars and new visitors) of all ages playing together and the water fights are an event not to be missed.
Do not be put off however if you are a couple as the kids are good kids and will not present a nuisance. It is predominantly a family site although there are quieter nooks and crannies from which the antics of the kids can be enjoyed at a distance. If you really can't stand kids or are allergic to them though this probably won’t be the site for you.
The current wardens focus on speed limits, dog muck control and preventing ball games among the vans. All these points are for very, very good reasons and I personally welcome and support them in this approach. I would say the management are very easy going and approachable. Understandably if a warning is necessary but ignored they will bear down on incompatible behaviour. They do understand though we are all on holiday. The need for serious action is very, very rare and only occurs when one person’s idea of a holiday conflicts with the idea of the management and majority of campers but is a vital last resort. I take reassurance from this approach which shows concern for us all. It would be much easier for them just to turn a blind eye.
I just hope we can continue to afford the pitch as in line with the wider industry price rises over the last decade have been phenomenal and have been squeezing us over the past few years.
Finally I think somebody said 'there is no such thing as poor weather but just the wrong clothes'. So of course the Sun always shines at Plas Uchaf and it never rains! Best to bring a coat and hat (with a chin strap) just in case.
Enjoy your stay.

Wow! This site is a real find. Very organised and well run. The site is clean with excellent facilities. We booked for 2 x nights & stayed for three.
It's a basic campsite, no shop or restaurant, just a a nice quiet peaceful place.
The warden was excellent & very helpful. The owner (an old chap) wondered around talking to the campers checking that all was ok. The waste bins were emptied every morning.
Toilet blocks were spotless. There were 3 x blocks, a slight criticism would be that the 'touring' block was not as good as the others, it took a few minutes for the water to run hot.
There was a children's play area that looked great.
We will definitely use this site again.
