Just returned from our second stay at the wonderful site. The wardens go out of their way to ensure that your stay is enjoyable.
The pitches are really spacious (Caravan Club please note) and the facilities and grounds are spotless. The site is in a great location about 20 mins walk one way into Benllech and a little further to the beach or similar distance again the other to the beautiful beach at Traeth Bychn and coast path to Moelfre.
Our large dog loved this site! One slight negative is that the site has no laundry but the positives of this site more than make up for this. Special thanks to MAC for understanding our requirements so perfectly.

What can I say, cracking site, loads of room on pitch, great facilities we stayed in the top field, modern toilet /shower, spotlessly, clean wardens always cleaning tiding etc, only gripe elsan toilet.
This is a normal toilet, and you have to lift your waste container up on it to empty it, better with a hole in the floor in stead, a lot easier, end of gripe, everywhere neat and tidy, well cut grass etc, lots of play areas if you have children, dog walks on site, and def would stay again.
Well done to the wardens, and owners

We've just returned from our first trip to Plas Uchaf. We were extremely pleased with the service we received from enquiries, booking and arriving. All staff extremely nice, efficient and organised. The most impressive thing about this site is how clean it is. It's immaculate. The area around the bins is very clean and they are emptied regularly. The showers are free and again very clean, powerful and plenty of hot water. There is also a bath available for smaller children and a large family room in one of the shower blocks. The play area is great for the kids and plenty of space for them too.
The only thing this site doesn't have is a shop, it did not matter at all as the Tesco Express, a few minutes drive away, more than compensates for this.
The Benllech pub was very nice as well, especially mid week, it did get quite busy, understandably so on the weekend. Definitely worth a try.
We would certainly recommend this site and return again.

Just returned from our 5th annual holiday at Plas Uchaf. The fact that we have returned each year for the last 5 years describes just how much we love this site and can't fault it. We always holiday In Anglesey with friends and my unit is a large frame tent. Toilets are immaculately clean and with 4 sets of toilet & shower blocks, there are always plenty of facilities available. Bins are readily available for all of the fields and emptied daily. All pitches have electric plus their own water tap, which is a lovely additional touch. My daughter is now 16 but over the years has utilised the well kept play area, which consists of a climbing frame, swings, slide, plus an area for ball games etc, plus a small woodland area. There are 5 fields used for pitching tents and caravans and all provide a very large area for each unit. Without doubt, this site gives the customer the biggest pitching area that I have ever seen, and believe me, I've camped a lot over the years. Plenty of washing up points plus freezers for the campers use. The fields have super drainage. When it has rained you never see any mud, even when cars have been driven onto the fields - with British weather, that is a big plus. Site wardens, Mack & Mavis are brilliant and noting is too much trouble for them. Site owners Phil & Pat Evans are also great - they all make a lovely team and will accommodate the customer as much as possible.
The site is a 3 minute drive from a Tesco, and there is also a Spar & a Co-op further down the road. In the same locality of Tesco you have a fantastic chippy and Indian take-away. Access to many beaches not just Benllech. I love this Island especially with the big advantage of being able to camp at Plas Uchaf, hence why we're going back in a couple of months. Can't wait :-)

Had a brilliant 4 night stay in this campsite - couldn't fault anything. Not even the weather!
It was the biggest pitch we have ever stayed on, toilets & shower block spotless.
We have a six & four year old - they had the time of their lives having the freedom of the park & meeting lots of new friends, our dog also had a great time.
We definitely be booking again!

We have just returned from a three night stay in a tent on this beautiful site. The site was immaculate, as were the toilets and washing up room. In the ladies' toilet block nearest to our pitch, there were three toilets, two individual showers and also a family room with a shower, a toilet and a baby changing area. Water taps and electric hook-up points are on every pitch so if they have a pitch available for you, you know you will get one with electricity. The friendly staff never seem to stop working and are round emptying bins, cleaning and cutting the grass all the time.
This site was also the cheapest I could find in the area. As seems to be the case with a lot of sites now, you still have to pay extra per child, which I really don't understand as surely you should only be paying extra for awnings, pup tents, dogs, etc. But it wasn't anywhere near as much as some of the sites I looked at.
There is a great play area for children but also plenty of room for them to ride around on their bikes and scooters.
There were also plenty of picnic benches around in our field for people to use outside their tents which was great. Not sure if there was one per pitch but there were a lot of them.
I think the site would benefit from a very small shop selling essentials, such as bread, milk, eggs, etc. And maybe a few camping items, such as gas canisters, but there was a Tesco Express, Spar and Co-op only a few minutes' drive away in Benllech.
Overall, a great few days away and I really didn't want to come home again. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent site with many returning families.
Facilities are excellent and there are two baths which is great for bathing infants
Allocated flat pitches with electric hookup and plenty of water taps
Close to benlich beach but I would say not walkable as advertised, there is free parking in the village and along the beach road if your quick enough to get one.
Overall this is a great campsite and shall be returning

We have just come back from a 3 night stay over half term on this fantastic site. It was much larger than I expected and was immaculately kept in my opinion. Several toilet/shower blocks which were always clean. We went with our 6 and 9 year old as well as our friends who were in a tent with 3 boys aging 12-6 years old and it catered for them all. The kids loved the space to roam freely with their bikes, playing football and exploring the woods. Pitch sizes were excellent, no overcrowding and rules are set and everyone followed them. Great that picnic benches are provided too. The site had a great atmosphere. The owners were very accommodating as we booked it with short notice and couldn't help enough when we got there-showing to pitches, helping set up as was a little sloped and explaining fully about the site, and making a fuss of our excited children we were not just handed a leaflet and let us get on with it which I really liked.
I Would have preferred it if price included children and not to have to pay extra per child per night, we expect to pay for extras such as awning, hook ups, dogs etc.
There was no shop on site but We explored around the outside of the site and headed to the local tescos, pub and the beach, which was beautiful! I would say this was a 20 minute walk downhill. Took a while longer going back with it being uphill!
We Can't wait to return in the summer holidays and hopefully the weather will be on our side again!
Only downside is the narrow road to get to the site but the site owners stagger the times to depart and check in to avoid clashing with anyone else on the lane with caravans, other vehicles were good enough to give way. Please don't let it put you off visiting this gem of a campsite. We didn't want to leave!

As other have previously said, there is a narrow lane to get to the entrance to the site but with places to pass if you are careful.
However please don't let this deter you from this site. Just returned from a long weekend and couldn't fault it. We always read websites beforehand so are prepared for what facilities are there and know what to expect. The play area is excellent for younger children and we also liked the designated sports/ ball area. We chose to use the showers that were 10p as they were always quiet and clean. The wash up area looked week kept and we noticed the freezer available to use.
Would recommend this site and we, ourselves, are hoping to visit again next year.
