Ditto everything said already. We stayed 7 nights and didnt see the children from the moment we arrived. Great play area and easily accessible toilets.
Weather was mixed and we did have some serious rain storms but the warden often checked we were all ok. Shame they may be retiring this year but we hope the site remains the same because this is camping as I remember when I was a child.
Brilliant time, wet but brilliant.

A lovely campsite for families and couples alike. Lots of spaces around the statics but still some building work going on.
Very pleasant owners always helpful especially in recommending locals for deck and patio building!
Great play park for the kids.
Benlech is a good village, a new bistro just opened as well. Lots to do and even a great Indian take away.

Arrived by chance(look for a little brown direction sign on B5108 just outside Benllech). But the owners were very helpful and came to our rescue. The other reviews from 2007 are still valid and I would just like to confirm the tent pitches are level and well maintained. Hedgerows protect you from the worst of windy weather and also house lots of Finches, Sparrows and Robins etc. There are also a good number of cold water taps around the perimeters which is handy for just filling the kettle in the morning.
There are only 2 shower/toilet blocks but queuing wasnt a problem and they are kept clean and there is plenty of hot water.
An on site shop would have been handy but Benllech is only a short drive or nice country lane walk away.
Will put this site on 'revisit' list.

Fabulous site, we left our van for 2 months through May and June. The warden was extremeley helpful and avaliable anytime. The showers were spotless and the water was always hot. The childrens park was great and the village of Benllech is a great base for a family holiday, would recommend it and I am a very fussy camper.

Have just returned from a great weekend at this site and was very pleased with everything about it. On our arrival the owner very helpfully walked down to the tent field with us and explained the benefits of the different pitches available. ie gets sun in the morning or the evening etc. Pitches are set out around the edge of the field, which was nicely mowed and all have their own water tap and EHU. There was also plenty of picnic tables to go round. There are 3 toilet and shower blocks around the site, which were always spotless. The main wash room had 2 freezers for your ice packs etc, which were free to use. The site also has a nice childrens playground so is all round a perfect site if your looking for a quiet break with the kids. There is no shop or bar on the site but Benllech is 5 mins drive away which has a co-op, 2 chippies and a couple of pubs. A couple of minutes further is the beach, which again is lovely and clean. We enjoyed it that much were going back next month!

What can I add to all the comments already made, not many. When my party arrived at the camp site we were all impressed with how clean and tidy the site was. Cut grass and no litter what so ever, very spotless. When we arrived at the main reception we were greeted by the warden who sorted out everything we needed for a good stay, even down to giving me some leaflets for local attractions and a plan of the site and explained where the toilets and showers were located. We were then shown to our pitch which I was than happy with. What also impressed me was the fact that we could barbecue food with some bricks nearby and a cold water tap for fresh clean water.
It was our first time camping and some of the guests were happy to give tips. Will come again, already planning for next year but instead of a 4 day stop over its going to be for at least a week and I am also going to take my 2 kids with me. Excellent site if you have not already been then I recommend it.

Having just returned from a long weekend at plas-uchaf, I can only recommend you take a visit! The facilities are well positioned and clean. Plenty of space between pitches and the wardens are very welcoming and helpful too! Although there is no shop on site, Benllech is only a few minutes away by car, with the usual shops, take aways, chemists and banks, etc. To sum up the site, it is well run and peaceful (with plenty for the kids to do). Well worth a visit!

This is a very good site, Friendly staff welcome you on arrival, and show you to your pitch. The whole site is immaculately kept, and they do not overcrowd. All tents are pitched around the perimeter of the camp field, allowing you to sit back and relax watching the kids play, without other tents obstucting the view. Toilets and showers were very clean at all times. Both indoor and outdoor washing up areas. Freezers available for ice packs and food, beer etc. Play area for the kids, with tennis courts and table tennis. There is a woodland walk, but I didnt get chance to have a look. Very cheap to stay, we paid £9.00 a night without EHU, which is about £1.50 extra. The shops and pubs are approximately half a mile away. All in all, a very good site, which I will definitely return to this year.

As the organiser of a Geocaching Camping Event, we were looking for a site who could accommodate approximately 20 units both Tourers and Tents. On phoning round Plas-Uchaf appeared to fit the bill. We paid the site a unannounced visit as we live down the North Wales Coast, and the Warden was extremely happy to leave the job he was working on to take us on a full conducted tour of the site [he spent approximately 40 minutes showing us everything]
The site has a No overcrowding policy and we were to be located on the Rally Field [which is used for TT's as well] the Warden reckoned we could fit 22 units around the outside of the field and another 4 in the middle. Having seen 20 units on the field, I can honestly state that at full capacity there would still be room to drive a artic around with ease.
The site has several toilet shower blocks, all of a extremely high standard, and maintained spotlessly at all times. Each block has ample pot washing facility's, and elsan points.
For children there are sports facility's and a activity room, screened from the accommodation part of the camp by trees and bushes, but still only 20 seconds away from the units.
The site also has it's own Dog Walking Area, with a bag and bin policy
Nearest shops and takeaways also pubs are about 5 minutes drive away. As the site is down a quiet lane.
With 20 units stopping we did not have a single complaint, in fact everyone praised the site

This was our first camping trip, we had chose this site via this website.W hat a fantastic site, very hospitable warden, well kept neat grass areas, everyone spaced well with tents around the perimeter and with large grassed area in centre. Fantastic for families as you do not lose sight of children. Well lit, great facilities, a choice of showers to choose from + washing up and food preping areas. Fantastic wooden play area, tennis nets, football area and ping pong tables. Lovely tranquil camp, very close to beach. If you are looking for a place to go and relax with the kids, this is the one!
