Good all round facilities Toilets/shower block. Cleaning for pots/dishes etc. The pitches are a good size and most have electric and water. There is an additional field for children to play ball games fly kites etc.
The site is some distance from shops, although there is a pub with-in walking distance which sell homemade food. Also if you are going up snowdon its a short drive to all day car park. The site is well maintained.
A word of warning ask for a receipt especially if paying cash. I paid cash up front on day of arrival. No receipt was issued, I wish I had asked for one. As I was driving I received a call from the owner saying that I had left without paying and threatened to call the police if I didn't return to pay. I told them I had paid on arrival. Luckily I noticed that there is CCTV in reception, and I asked her to check that before accusing. She did view the cctv and rang me back to apologize.
Otherwise really nice site.

This was an excellent choice of campsite, by far one of the best we have stayed. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, the facilities were of a very high standard, very well maintained and very clean. We visted mid week and the site was reasonably busy, we didn't need to queue once for the facilities (3 toilets and 2 showers in each block, no coins needed). I could imagine in busier periods, queuing may be required. There were laundry facilities available if required so may plan a longer stay in the future. Would suit families with kids, and owners seemed to place people accordingly (we were not near any children). The plot was well maintained and there was a supply of fresh drinking water near to the tent.
Site cost £7 pppn which I thought was good value for money.
The pub was within walking distance and served excellent meals (but you need a very hearty appetite!), close to local coop shop too, a stones throw away from Snowdon and other local walks.
Very highly recommend, however there would probably be more demand on the facilities in busier periods.

Just returned from a weeks holiday with the Jones's. I have to say this is one of the best campsites I have ever visited, including the continent and N. America.
Spotless campsite and amenities close to all of the tourist spots. Bakery right across the street also a butchers, Londis store and fish and chip shop close by.
The owner couldn't do enough for us even delivered the eggs from the farm.
Not easy to spot from the road but look for the brown camping sign on the A4086 opposite the disused petrol station 3 miles from Llanberis and 3 miles from Caenarfon. Enjoy !

This is an amazing site. The owner could not do enough for us and was very friendly indeed.
The toilet and shower block are very clean. Out of the entrance just down the road on the corner is a lovely bakery selling pies, pasties, bread and pastries still hot from the oven which were great to eat.
It is the first site we have stayed on that we have been able to walk a short distance to a wonderful pub for a meal in the evening and leave the car behind. The meals there are really good and are a little bit more expensive than we pay at home but for the quality and portion size it was well worth paying a little bit extra for a lovely meal.
The site is excellent to see all the attractions the surrounding area has to offer.
We visited Caernarfon, Anglesey and travelled around the area in the few days that we were there and they were not too far from the campsite.
I would definitely stay at the site again.

This is an amazing, quite site. We spent a week here recently, turning up without booking and the staff still found a pitch for us (even though the stay included a bank holiday).
The staff helped us pitch our tent as it was the first time we had pitched due to our other tent being destroyed in high winds in the Lakes a couple of weeks previously.
Great toilets and showers (cleaned at least twice a day), recycling and a freezer block service if needed
Centrally located for the best North West Wales has to offer.

We stayed at this very friendly site and felt most welcome the hosts work tirelessly to keep everything sparkling.
The site is fairly level with mostly grass pitches. They pay great attention to their very successful business with many regulars returning constantly.
Terrific food at the pub down on the corner and the site is very conveniently situated for the Snowdonia centre at Llanberis with the Snowden mountain railway, Lake Railway, and Electric Mountain.
If you get the weather North Wales is spectacular and this site puts you within easy travelling distances.
We look forward to our next holiday in North Wales at Llys Derwen.

We booked it last minute on 27th April and are really pleased we did.
On arrival we were greeted by the owner who was really helpful and couldn't do enough for us, we moved from the original booked pitch to a lovely sunny one and had space around us for our two daughters to play.
Appears some of the pitches are not very level but owner offered us levelling blocks which we didn't need but others did. Watching the sunsets from the caravan was priceless and quiet in the evenings which is what you need with two youngsters who were in bed.
The site, toilets and showers are clean, recycling bins - this became the girls job each day to take the rubbish and recycling which like at home they enjoy doing.
We just had to sample the local bakery after reading reviews on here which is literally across the road and can recommend the sausage rolls, pasties both Cornish and cheese & onion which were fresh out of the oven!
The site is ideally situated to explore what Snowdonia, North Wales and Anglesey have to offer, we visited Trearddur Bay, Newborough Beach and Aber Falls which are worth the visit.
There is no play area for children but this did not stop our children from playing round the caravan without disturbing other campers.
We highly recommend this site to other campers with or without children.

We stayed here for a couple of nights 21st & 22nd April.
This is a great site, with a warm welcome from the site owner.
We found this Campsite by accident and were pleasantly surprised when we entered the site. The owner welcomed us, even though we hadn’t booked and literally turned up just before nightfall.
The tent area is well maintained, even and flat! The toilet and shower blocks are fine and again maintained and cleaned regularly. Despite previous reviews stating there only being 2 of each toilet & shower, I think this is adequate for a site of this size.
The site was near full capacity with plenty of families and we never once had to queue or wait for the toilet or shower.
Location, this is a quiet site, ideal for a tranquil get away or as a base camp for Snowdon, without the crowds.
We will be coming back!

We have been back from our 2 week tenting holiday for a week now. This site is absolutely fantastic. Exceptionally clean and tidy. All of the grassed pitching area is kept short and is regularly maintained to the owners high standards
The owners are brilliant, friendly and very very helpful with place to see and visit if you are at a lost of where to start on your holiday. The office is open from 9am till 9pm all day every day.
The site has a mixture of tents/trailer tents &camper vans and all have plenty of privacy around them.
The toilet/showers and wash area are the cleanest i have ever seen.and i do know are cleaned and moped out every day morning noon and night infarct we often saw emerys moping & cleaning out at 11 pm in the evening.
This is a quiet site with that in mind be aware there is no play equipment for children. My hubby & daughter visited the local bakery a hop skip and a jump away and we can all highly recommend there pasties.
Within a 10 min walk or 2 min drive there is a londis shop with a deli and butchers opposite. I can recommend the meats and sausages and Hazel does some fabulous baking.

This is an excellent site with very hot showers and easy access to Caernarfon and Llanberis. It is immaculately kept and we were really impressed that there are recycling facilities.
Friendly and helpful owners make the stay even nicer as they let us use the large disabled facility to shower our messy kids every day which made life much easier.
Would be nice if there was a kids play area but this does not detract from the site.
We would definitely stay again.
