JUNE, JULY SEPTEMBER 2003 We have had many great weeks at Waxham over the years, wet weather and, mainly, hot weather. Previous reviews have mentioned 'caravan graveyards'. These vans are someones pride and joy, we can't all have 20ft palaces and 4 wheel drive gas guzzelers. Live and let live, on a site that is near the sea, quiet, well run by pleasent helpful staff and doesn't cost the earth! Looking forward to 2004. P.S. Not everyone who leaves beer cans on the beach comes from Waxham Sands!!

June 2003 Third time Ive been to this site.First with a van though.Again unimpressed with the "riff raff" that finds its self there at the weekend(groups of youngsters with loud voices/music and no perception of campsite etiquette.Showers and toilets were not particulary clean and water not too warm. The touring park is a strange place and appears similar to a caravan graveyard with loads of ancient vans littered around the site with no real purpose. Plus points are its close proximity to the beach (shame the riff raff have the ability to drag full beer cans to the beach but not the empty ones back.Seals popping up.We saw around 25 on the beach.Norfolk broads closeby... August 2002 Well, we have been going to this site for 11 years running and have enjoyed our stay every time. It's just what we look for in a campsite, because the beach is about 2 minutes walk, it's always peaceful no matter how many people are on site and it is just the place to relax and soak up the sun. I would give it my recommendation any time!

28th June 2002 I liked this site because its right next to the beach literally throwing distance. The toilets/shower blocks was clean with hot water but you have to pay and its 25p for one token which lasts about 5 minutes. There is a tiny shop on site. The nearest town to the campsite is Great Yarmouth which is about 30 minutes drive away. The only disappointing think about this campsite is that you can't freeze your own ice packs you have to pay to borrow there's and we found that there ice packs wasn't good enough because they only lasted for about 5 hours which other ice packs last for about 24 hours. I would definatly come back to this campsite but only for a weekend and thats if the weather is nice.
