We stayed for one week, glorious weather and we were a last minute booking. On arrival reception was very helpful, site clean with plenty for young children - not so much for teenagers.
Pool and playarea closed early evening - which was disappointing. Onsite shop is well stocked. Our only grumble is that the site it self was very full, whether this was because we were last minute or it is usual practice I'm not sure, but there were

Tents overlapping neighbouring pitches and obviously lots of cars.

First time we have been camping in about 30 years . What a brilliant little site, everything you need in one place . Shop well stocked with all you need. Shower block very impressive ok you have to keep pressing a button but hey its free . You don't get that everywhere and so cant see any reason to moan. Play area kept kids amused for hours . Will definitely be back.

Toilet block very clean and modern. Shop and staff vey friendly. Perfect location for traveling to lovely beaches and beauty spots. Site is flat and well drained but we found the pitches so close together cars had to be parked at the side of the units as well, all too squashed for us.

Well a strange one here, really nice site virtually empty with clean toilets and hot water, bit of a disappointment that the child play area didn't exist, have our doubts about the swimming pool - looked like it hasn't seen any service for a decade! Shop didn't open, games room?!? Great site when empty though!

We found the site spotless, the grass was like a bowling green, well sheltered, quiet, and the shop stocked with just about everything you could need.
The pool wasn't open when we visited but looked superb, lots of space for kids to run in, and huge overflow field for those not needing ehu.
The one downside was the key system to the toilets, which could cause a 'whoopsy' if you had small kids to rush to the loo. Lol. Apart from that, the site is definitely worth a visit.

I thought that this was a good little site and even over the bank holiday weekend when it was packed it was clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. Well stocked shop and not rip off prices. Well serviced pitches and a quiet location (apart from a few crows). Laundrette facility available. A very well run and maintained site.

I'd score the shower block an 8/10 - shower on a timer so about every 20 seconds you got to press the button again - What's that all about? and nowhere to put your 'ablutions' other than the floor.

As someone has already mentioned the tissue dispensers are challenging and cause a lot of mess that could otherwise be avoided.

Some good dog friendly beaches nearby with all day parking at £3 or £1 hour.

Word of warning though, even though local shops advertise cash machines that take all major cards they didn't take our Lloyds / TSB card and the local garage sold out of fuel when we were leaving so keep a bit of fuel in reserve for the journey home.

Our three vehicles turned up on Friday afternoon at about 17:30. We where met at reception, which is just at the entrance. We all paid our balances and our £5 for the toilet / shower block key. I then asked if it was OK to pitch on the overflow as there was two big tents and another coming in tomorrow morning. That was no problem at all and it was also OK'ed to block the area where the third tent was coming in.

The In-Laws had already arrived the day before with their caravan and had told us how nice the site was.

Fantastic. We drove past the marked pitches (where everything was neat and tidy) and onto the overflow field which is separated from the main area by a hedge, toilet block and the kids playing area. We picked a spot on the right of the overflow near / under an Oak tree. The overflow was immaculate. Short grass and not a drop of rubbish anywhere. We got the tents pitched without a hassle (apart from none of us bringing a pump for the beds, but a friendly camper helped us out). The kids were sent off to the play ground which has just recently (week before we got there) been upgraded and re-done. We could also keep an eye on them from there.

The camp site shop was stocked with everything a camper / caravanner could need. All sorts of spares etc. Plenty of bacon, bread and fresh dairy products and a great selection of ice-creams and sweets. A+ there.

Onto the only slight bad point of the site. The shower block for the overflow. It was cleaned in the morning which was great, but within an hour the floor was dirty and cut grass every where. The showers need updating (one tap, no movement on the head, tatty looking) and perhaps a rule like the C&CC do about mopping out when you finish inside.

There is also a great looking swimming pool on site which unfortunately was not manned at the time, but will be next month.

Nearby there is a great fresh fish shop called Crabs and Dabs (that was Saturdays lunch) and plenty of walks to be had. Further afield there is all the Norfolk Coast, Great Yarmouth, Caister, and loads of little villages and towns on the coastal roads.

Pleasure Wood Hills was also just down the road (about 20 minutes) and the whole family has a great day out on Sunday. The Park was quiet so all the rides where just walked onto and we could stay on the rides if we wanted. Brilliant fun.

Overall I've rated the site 9 out of 10. The showers just need updating, and if that was done then if would bring the pricing into line which we found a touch over what it was worth.

But go to Scratby Hall and be prepared to relax and enjoy.

This was our first visit to this site, and we were not disappointed. The condition of the pitches were excellent and a good size with plenty of room. The water taps were ideally placed at the rear of the pitch. The shower block was in good condition. Some things like the flooring, the showers themselves looked like they could have been fitted recently. The shop on site was reasonably priced. Looked small from the outside but on entry was quite large, as one camper said it was like the Tardis.

The playground was open on bank holiday and kept our three children busy while the tea was cooked.

Only a couple of things could be improved upon. The toilet tissue holders were a bit stiff resulting in ripped bits of tissue which we were happy to clear up, however not everyone did the same and this made the block look untidy at times. Also the hand dryers seemed to have had it, not really doing their job.

But apart from those couple of teething problems we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this site. We look forward to returning next year.

What a great site! The shower blocks were always clean and there were enough toilets and showers to cope with the site being full (however this was not the case when we stayed).

The children's play park was shut during our weekend stay due to the fact that it is being upgraded but this didn't stop out children having a great time exploring the wooded area beside the site.

All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The shop is great with loads of little things that you wouldn't think a tiny on site shop would sell and the prices are very reasonable.

Due to the fact that we only live 30 mins away from the site we know the area very well and felt that we didn't need to leave the site as it was soooo relaxing and peaceful.

The only downside I can think of is that in more peak periods the price is a little expensive compared to some other sites with more facilities on, however we stayed may bank holiday weekend and at only £16 a night we found this very reasonable.

All in all a lovely relaxing site and we will definitely be atying there again!

Great little site. Quiet for a bank holiday weekend, just what we wanted. Plenty of space between units, due to a sensible way of placing units, ie; using alternate plots before placing people next to others, (unless groups request being together). There was the obligatory idiot, who waits for the office to close and staff to go home, before letting his dog off a lead and run round the site playing football. You know the ones, the ones who think the rules don't apply to them because of their narcissistic behaviour. Great little shop. Should be called The Tardis, looks small from outside but they sure do store an awful lot of things people might need. Toilets/showers very clean and tidy. Hand dryer a bit outdated. Has electric hook-ups. We walked to Caister along the beach passed a few bars and resturants. Took us just over an hour, not for the frail. UK campsites map link is totally out, places this site about 8 miles west of where it really is. Thank goodness for old fashioned paper Ordnance Survey maps. I would certainly want to return here to explore the area further but not, I think in school summer holidays. Interesting shop down the road, sign says it sells shellfihs if you are travelling towards Gt. Yarmouth but shellfish if travelling towards Martham. Bus information a bit scant. Local bus stops had timetables for journeys to Gt. Yarmouth but not the return journey. (Hardly the fault of the site owners). Very friendly people in the office and shop. A site well worth passing others for.
