Our first visit to Links, and we were so impressed! We can`t wait to go back! A lovely big grassy area for tents, with more than enough space for our large tent.
A wonderfully peaceful site, didn't hear a peep after dark, and again till after 8.30 am! Nice flat pitches too.
The toilets and showers must have been renovated since last reviews on this, as they were modern, very clean and lovely hot water. As with most sites you have to keep pressing hot water on in the shower but that's not unusual in many campsites! They seemed to be cleaned every day and had plenty of toilet paper and handwash.
Unfortunately the weather was freezing and cloudy (but it was early April so no real suprise!) and we didn't get the most of the lovely walks and Mundsley beach, but as soon as get some nice weather we will be back!
A peaceful village, nice if you want to get away from it all! Excellent value for money at Links. But must warn people not used to bird song at 5.30am they may need ear plugs! The birds like to do their chorus at sunrise, and they do it with gusto!
We look forward to returning, with some sun hopefully!

I write this review with distinct reluctance as the few pitches available for touring caravans should be kept a secret. Links is a great small site which is difficult to get on at certain times of the year.
Lovely situation, easy access, quiet, well maintained grounds, stunning landscape over the ‘valley’, great dog walks off the lead close by and Mundesley is near perfect.
A couple of reviews below make mention of the poor standards maintained in the toilet/shower block. Our last visit confirmed these damaging reviews and that the facilities were distinctly tired and in need of a planned daily / weekly / monthly cleaning schedule which if followed would alleviate some of the areas of growing concern.
This together with some reinvestment, a deep clean, and perhaps a lick of paint will make the punters feel better about what are first class modern facilities.
Purpose of writing is to inform readers that during our six day stay we became aware that the owner was distraught to receive such negative feedback and work was under way to tackle the identified areas of complacency with a plan to undertake other areas of concern over the winter. We saw noticeable improvements over our short stay.

We have just returned from four nights at this campsite, with our two young children. The site is in a lovely location- away from main roads and only a 10 minute walk from the beach and village. There is also a lovely play area just near the beach which the kids enjoyed
The site wardens were helpful when we arrived and showed us to our pitch, the pitches were of a good size and well spaced from other pitches. Liked that there was a fridge/freezer for all to use at no cost.
The only thing we felt let the site down was the toilet/shower block (and for us this is the most important thing). They are modern and all the facilities you need are there, but were not in our opinion as well maintained has other reviews had suggested. They are in need of a real deep clean and decorate, the shower curtains in the ladies were grim, the ceiling had lots of patches of mould and just generally the cleanliness was not as good as previous sites we have stayed at! Wear flip flops in the showers!
The site is only a 20 minute drive from Cromer, and for anyone visiting with young children Wroxham barns and Bewilderwood are good days out!
Try the local fish and chip shop, its good but shuts at 8pm.
We would visit the area again but not this campsite as wasn't clean enough for us, which is a shame!

Visited with my young children and another couple of families and I must have visited a different site to the ones reviewed here!
Positives
Quiet
Close to beach and town
Spacious pitches
Very friendly warden
Lots of hot water in showers (although you had to keep pressing an annoying button or the shower went off after about 5 seconds)
Negatives
Very basic - just a set of 2 swings for the kids
Toilet block was far from clean-mould covered ceilings (someone had actually written 'clean me' in the mould! There didn't appear to be any regular cleaning taking place and the sinks often had muck around them. Floor was often muddy and not cleaned often enough.
We had a nice time but won't be returning.

Second visit here this year. Friendly, cheap, clean, reasonably quiet (any problems are soon sorted out).
Pitches roomy (please get rid of pitch 7 though!) and in walking distance to beach, shops and bus stops! You could easily park up and not use the car for a full week.
This is a family site - so expect a bit of noise from kids early in the morning and from tea time till 10. 30pm(ish).
We will be going back!
Close to Cromer, Sheringham, Zoo, Animal Sanctuary, Cinema and swimming pool at sheringham.

It was a fantastic location, just what we wanted.
Pros;
Only takes 20 minutes to walk to the beach.
Great facilities on the beach, toilets, cafe & lifeguard.
Really big spacious showers, that you can get in with the kids, lots of hooks too.
Showers & toilets clean at floor level but needed attention above eye level.
Good sized pitches.
Fridge was good to use.
Ship Inn very good for food and ale.
Cons:
It was very noisy when we were there not a lot of notice of keeping noise down between 10pm - 7am.
Not a washing machine or tumble dryer.
We would probably visit again as the same groups of people might not be there so it would be quieter.

Just returned from a two night stay with two children at the links, a well run and well kept campsite.
The location of the site is excellent with only a short walk into the village and sea front, where you will find all the shops you need for a holiday break, we can also highly recommend the local Fish and Chip shop.
The shower and toilet block is clean with plenty of hot water and not token operated which is always a bonus.
The pitches are clearly marked and well maintained, with drinking water located in the centre with some swings which the children really enjoyed.
The only downside is the access road to the golf club which is busy and is situated right next to the entrance where you walk into town, don't let this put you off though, all in all a lovely place for a family holiday.

This is a fantastic family site! Warm Welcome from Warden Barney who couldn't help enough.
Facilities clean, site well maintained and the pitches are a good size. The site was peaceful and 10. 30 pm is a strict quiet time.
Whilst at the site there was a noisy group near us but Barney spoke to them that evening and rectified the matter !
The only negative I can find about the site is the access road which you have to negotiate. It can be tricky in larger vehicles, especially with the pedestrian traffic.
Mundesley has a wonderful beach and park area for the children.
We will definitely be returning in the near future

Using this site many times, found it as usual a very peaceful and quiet place.
Allocated tent spaces are wide enough for your car and tent alongside it. There are hook ups on site but not at every pitch (we don't use it).
Shower/toilet blocks modern and clean.
Just two swings for the children to use for entertainment but others were playing happily with balls, frisbees etc.
All completely quiet on a Saturday night by 9pm (but it did get a little cold this particular night).
Dog friendly, there is a great 5 mile walk from the site stopping through Trunch (a pub stop which had a bbq on the go if you wanted) calling back through the village where you can get your fish and chips as a well earned treat (at most 15 mins away by foot and was still hot by the time we got back to the site).
If you enjoy just a simple get away from it all site this is the place for you.
We will definitely be back!

Just got back from this site yesterday afternoon, after spending three days/nights there.
Excellent site and very good toilet/shower facilities. We had electric hook-up at our pitch, and have a fairly large tent (Gelert Horizon 8, with front porch) but it easily fitted in the allotted space.
There are two swings right in the centre of all the tents (which are arranged in a rough circle shape) and it is very safe around there for kids to run about and play.
Toilets/showers are literally a 2-minute walk from where our tent was, and one of the days we walked to Mundsley beach, which took about 20 minutes (with 6 children constantly stopping to play every few minutes along the way).
Mundsley is a lovely beach - very clean and sandy, and three of the kids spent a couple of hours playing in the sea (even though it was very cold!)
Went into Cromer the next day, and was about a 20 min drive.
Showers always had hot water (the roof of the block is entirely made up of solar panels) and there is a tiny kitchen with two sinks so you can wash up, and a fridge freezer to store icepacks and food in.
Would definitely camp here again!
