We only stayed for one night, but will definitely be going back! Wonderful site, with level pitches and clean toilets and showers and plenty of hot water. The site warden was very friendly and as it was quiet, told us not to worry about being off the pitch by 11am the following morning and to stay as long as we wanted! There is a nice beach in Mundesley, but only part of it is dog friendly. Seems a lovely area and close to Cromer.

Fantastic, small friendly site. No frills but the facilities (toilets, shower, washing up kitchen) are spotlessly clean and modern with plenty of scalding hot water. We visited at the end of October so were expecting the freezing cold weather that the North Norfolk coast can throw at you - we experienced an amazing hailstorm and very blustery conditions but with the EHU were nice and cosy. The site has basic children's play area - 2 swings in the centre of the site but as there were only 4 tents when we visited there was masses of room for a game of football etc. We were shown to our pitch by the friendly warden who gave us free choice as they were so quiet - I should imagine it is fairly cramped in high season though. She also walked round on our day of departure to check everything had been OK. Local area is lovely - Cromer is a quaint little seaside town and the countryside is beautiful. Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all. And the price? Well, at £5 a night plus £1.50 for EHU who can complain? And at the time of year we visited, children went free! What a bargain break we had! We will definitely be returning next year!

Just got back from spending three nights here and in spite of the weather thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners are very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were shown the tent field and given the option to choose a pitch for ourselves. There is a small play area with only two swings but my children (age 9 & 13) had a fab time and made lots of friends. The shower facilities were clean and we didn't have to wait for a shower at any time during our stay. I love the idea of a mop so that you can clean up after yourself. This makes sure that the shower area is always clean for the next person.
There's great swimming and sauna facilities at the nearby Woodland leisure park for £3.50 per adult and £2.50 for children and there's a games area also. The park has laundry facilities that you can use at £4.00 for wash and dry which isn't bad.
The village of Cromer was lovely and well worth a visit.
We will definitely be going again and again.

My family and I visited this site in Aug and we were impressed immediately upon arrival. The wardens were very helpful and cheerful, they made sure everything was ok once we were all set up and were on hand if we needed them. The site itself was clean and well maintained with a small swing set to keep the kids entertained, it was very peaceful in the middle of a couple of fields but only 5 mins to the beach, shops etc. Mundesley itself is a lovely place with a fantastic beach and Cromer is only a 10 min drive away. My only complaint about the site is the water pressure in the showers, it isn't great and they are on a timer which lasts no more than 10 secs, this proved to be a real pain when you are trying to wash yourself and 2 young children. We will definitely be going back again next year, we had a fantastic time and would recommend this site to anyone!

This is a very relaxing site within walking distance of a lovely sleepy seaside town. We spent 5 days here with 2 teenagers and really enjoyed it despite the good old British august weather! The warden is a lovely lady who personally shows everyone to their pitch.
The toilets, showers and washing up area are modern and clean, the showers not very powerful but nice and hot. The washing up room has a fridge and freezer and our ice blocks never went walk-about. There are only a couple of swings for the kids and not a great deal of room for them to play but all the kids were having fun together and it's only a 10 minute walk to the beach anyway, also a park in Mundesley with a large green for kite flying, frisbee etc.
A good fish & chip shop in Mundesley and picnic benches in the park or on the prom to eat them! A couple of pubs. We went to The Ship a couple of times which has a large beer garden overlooking the sea and children were welcome. We will eat there next time as the food smelt great!
Plenty to do in the area for all ages.
Great campsite, friendly and relaxed. Can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at this campsite. The camping field is well kept but basic. The toilet/shower blocks were lovely and clean. Only complaint being the shower. It was annoying because the push control doesn't allow the water to stay on long enough. However you can put up with this for a weekend! My children loved the fact that the cows in the next field frequently stood by the fence. Very handy for the beach and village. The Beach Cafe is fantastic and allows dogs to go in. Driving range only £1 for a basket of balls, so very reasonable. Oh and I wondered what the noise was at 5am, thanks to the last review I now know!
I do hope to return for another weekend.

We have just spent the weekend at links and had a really good time despite it raining for most of our stay.
The site is very well maintained and the toilet/shower block is kept very clean by the warden who is a lovely lady.
There is only 2 swings for the children to play on but there is plenty of room for them to play games in the field as there are hardly any other campers on the site. There is also a driving range about 1 minute walk from the site and lots of nice walks.
The only downsides to this site is that there is no electric for tents and that the grass on the nearby golfcourse is cut every morning at 5.30 but didnt disturb us that much, we were more disturbed by the neighbouring home owners dog playing in the garden til late at night.
This site makes a very chilled, cheap weekend away.

We visited this camp site on August Bank Holiday weekend. It was our first time camping for about 25 years. The campsite was very clean and the field in good condition. It is on a hill so probably well draining. The tents are in a separate field to the caravans. Despite being a bank holiday weekend the tents were well spaced apart and there was plenty of room for everybody. We enjoyed a good view of the town of Mundsley with it's windmill and the lights of Bacton Gas terminal on the horizon - strangely romantic for what is an industrial site. The toilet block is pretty new and and in excellent condition. There was always plenty of hot water - people were filling up their hot water bottles from the taps it was so hot. The only pain was the showers were on a push tap that only stayed on 15 secs for each push. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The children's play are is a bit reminiscent of 'The village of the Damned' - old, rusting and basic. Two swings and a climbing frame, but all the children seemed to enjoy it. Mundsley beach is fantastic for the children. It has gently sloping beaches and excellent sand for building sand castles. The beach cafe does plenty of good quality fresh food. If you want a good basic campsite I would recommend this one

Having visited this site we found it to be quite tidy. However we were on pitch one and very close to the main entrance. The pitches were very close and I felt that we were squashed together. The new toilets were recently completed in May 2007. I must say I was quite pleased because the old ones were in a "tin hut". The new toilet block had no soap in, and when I approached the warden she informed me that the owner had no intention of putting any in?
Otherwise no other complaints so when using the toilet dont forget your soap!
