Arrived on the Friday of the bank holiday weekend. Booking in was straightforward with friendly, helpful staff. The pitch was large and flat.
The site is well kept. The toilets were very clean and the showers excellent, plenty of hot water, and although it was a bank holiday and the site was pretty much full, we didn't have to queue. The site is peaceful an ideal adult only getaway.
Meriden is a nice little village with a few shops. We ate at the Bulls Head, unfortunately you can't book and Friday night was very busy, we went back to eat on the Sunday and got a table straight away. The food is good.
Also visited the Bullring, Coventry and Warwick.
We would definitely go back to the site and area again.

Peaceful adult only site with security gate. Friendly welcome.
Excellent facilities block, beautifully clean and plenty of space and hooks! Handy info cabin. Wash up areas and waste disposal clean and tidy too.
Pitches amongst the trees with plenty of wildlife to watch.
No shop on site but only a half hour walk to Meriden for shops.
Plenty of dog walking around, gate from site.
Ideal for a weekend getaway from it all.

Excellent site with excellent facilities.
The name gives it away really. Good size, well maintained pitches in a woodland setting with mature trees and plants adjacent to a golf course. The shower / toilet facilities were first class and always spotless and a well stocked information hut is also available on site. The fish and chip shop in Meriden is highly recommended as is Berryfields farm shop and cafe also in Meriden.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back again.

Like all my reviews it is split into sections
It is a lovely woods location with bird feeders and a hut for book exchange and information.
Booking
I called the site last minute and Angela the owner was great she booked us a pitch and told us she would leave the booking open as we were waiting for completion on our house. We felt this was wonderful as it was Christmas week and Campsites occupancy can be full.
Facilities
I loved the shower in the toilet block, you could change the temperature of the shower to your own preference also it wasn’t one of those nightmare push button things. They were clean and tidy. Plenty of hooks to hang your clothing on and no dreaded shower curtain it had a real door. There is a disabled block near the entrance of the site which is key operated.
Pitch
The pitches on the site are a gravel all year pitch. They are framed with bricks and look wonderful, the one we had even had trellising either side. There was plenty of room for two cars our awning and the caravan.
Customer Service
Angela and Mark are wonderful. After having a nightmare stay at our last site to be greeted by Angela who couldn’t help us enough was wonderful.
Surrounding Area
The site is in the middle of two golf courses and there is a floodlit driving range down the lane. Meriden is a lovely village and Solihull town centre is a great shopping centre.
Our Conclusion
This site was fabulous; we will be going back again even though we only live 10 miles away we want to go back for a long weekend for its tranquillity.

WE spent three nights at this beautiful adults only site to visit the NEC caravan show. The pitches are large mostly gravel and flat. The site is in woodland bounded by wide open green spaces and a golf course. The owners are welcoming and friendly. The toilets are immaculate. Excellent security with keypad access only to the site. There are lots of walks from the site. Meriden village is an easy walk half mile away with shops restaurants, pub post office in the vilage. If you need a day boarding for your pet while visiting the NEC, Top hat n Tails kennels is about one and a half miles from the site on the route to the NEC which is three miles away. This site is a real gem. As well as being close to Birmingham and NEC it's easy to visit Stratford upon Avon or Warwick from here. We will definitely be back.

We needed somewhere near the NEC to stay at very short notice and were pleased that this site was so helpful about accommodating us for a Saturday night. The pitches are wide, hardstanding, the site is quiet, surrounded by trees and very pleasant, the people are friendly and helpful and the facilities are good. And it is a very short drive to the NEC.
We hope to come back here again and stay for slightly longer, using it as a base for touring in the area.
The only thing we wouldn't do again is go to the golf club. The lady in reception at the site recommended the golf club restaurant for dinner. When I phoned to request a table, I was told it was closed that night (a Saturday!). I asked if they did bar snacks and was told yes, up to 8pm. It was a very cold, wet night, we didn't want to drive anywhere and we only wanted the shortest possible walk, so we headed over to the golf club bar. It was a fairly cheerless place, the bar snacks menu was very basic and we thought that £22 for two drinks and two burgers was terribly overpriced.

This site just continues to get better and better. We have now stayed here three times and will always go back and recommend it to our friends.
Brand new disabled facilities which were exceptional (although rather 'whiffy' when I used it - not the fault of the owners, more the last person who used it and didn't flush !). The floor had quite a bit of water on too, but again, last user rather than park fault.
Only thing that spoilt our visit this time, was over hearing the person on the next pitch say rather loudly 'They're not disabled'. Again, no fault of the park, but made me feel like I should have got my mobility scooter out just to prove the point. Instead I put my blue badges on the motorhome dashboard and left it at that. It was niggling to say the least, as they then blamed us for leaving the toilet door open, when it was they who had done so. I guess you will always get one lot like this wherever you go. Just a shame as it did spoil an otherwise lovely overnight stop at this truly spectacular park.

Wow, we have just spent a lovely night at Somers Wood. It is only 10 minutes from where we live, but we could have been a million miles away!
There is so many good things to say about this site:
1) Staff are so friendly and helpful
2)Large pitches and well laid out
3) Beautiful surroundings
4) Lots of birds and wildlife (visitors to people staying on site are asked if they would make a donation to the wild bird feed fund for the park)
5) Brand new, spotless toilet and shower facilities
6) Massive, hot showers
7) Nice walk to Meriden (3/4 mile away)
8) Lovely fish and chip shop in Meriden
9) Adults only
Somers Wood is also close to the NEC - good for visiting the caravan show,
Definitely 10 out of 10 - in fact we are going back again in a couple of weeks.

We stayed 3 nights at this quiet, adults only site. They pride themselves on this being a wild bird haven.
We had a very warm welcome on arrival and were able to choose our pitch. The pitches are generously sized, level hardstandings, some with grass to one side. We had 2 vehicles with us and this was not an issue. There is an immaculate toilet block, the best kept we have come across. Adjacent to the site is a service road that is excellent for exercising your dog and can be accessed from a side gate.
A mile along the road is Meriden. Here you will find shops for basic provisions (milk, bread, papers etc) and a good butchers for your bacon and sausages! There is also a good fish and chip shop. The Bulls Head has good modern pub food (this is an affluent area but we thought the prices were reasonable). Golf course, driving range and fishery right next door.
Even though it is July the site was not full but because of its proximity to the NEC I would think that during exhibitions it would be busy, at those times they permit commercial vehicles.
All in all a good site, easy to get to Birmingham, Coventry and accessing motorways.

Despite being within close proximity of the M42/M6 and Birmingham you could be a million miles away from civilisation as you sit here watching the Buzzard glide over the park and squirrels jump from tree to tree. I can only agree with what others have said here and will be back again soon
