 Lovely lovely site. We stayed in the front field and there is a sloop but we were near the top so quite level staff very friendly. The restaurant is excellent, we ate there 3 times and was not disapointed at all.
Quite central to vist places in your car. There is a no noise policy at 11pm and this is adhered to. Overall yes I would go back and would certainly recomment it. The silence you got from an adult only site was lovely.(for a change) views good too.

This is the second time we have stayed at bingham farm (now grange)spotlessly clean site. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Nice size pitches and the whole area including drive in is kept mowed 'better than my lawn'. We love kids but it is nice to have a quiet holiday away fom them.bridport is two miles away.pubs and shops are too far away for us old codgers to walk, ok for the young and fit.
Being poor pensioners we thought it was a bit pricey £216 for 8 nights (2 dogs and awning)but worth it.

Nice clean site with the added attraction of being adults only. Toilets / showers clean, restaurant does a good meal. Pitches adequate, but a bit more room would be good.
Couple of miles from Bridport which has a good market on a Saturday. Enjoyed our one night stay.

What an excellent site, stayed on site for 7 nights beginning of June 08, weather fantastic, no rain for a whole week. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, the new owners welcomed us with a pack of whats in the area and details of the site, then helped us to pitch the caravan.
We stayed on a fully serviced pitch but because the shower rooms are so good we never used our caravan facilities once. We had good views across the Dorset hills and peace and quiet for a whole week, (it's our 1st stay on an adults only site but will not be the last).
The new owners serve in the restauant and bar most nights and are really nice people, always having time for a chat. The restaurant deserves special mention as the food is excellent, we had Sunday dinner, went for curry night, also 2 meals for £10 and a great meal on the Saturday night, the desserts are to die for so save a little room for them, drinks are spot on and not at rip off prices, only one disapointment is the bar and restaurant are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bridport is a nice town with many pubs and cafes and you can get a cab from the site for a night out for about £5, Weatherspoons and the Ropemakers are worth a visit. The surrounding area is beautiful, West Port, Lymm Regis, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Dorchster, Weymouth the list is endless, will definitely go back to this area and also to Binghams Farm (or Binghams Grange as is their new name)

Excellent campsite - would recommend it to anyone. The reception area stayed open later to welcome late arrivals on the Bank Holiday weekend.
Great level pitch and space for the awning - our first effort in a new campervan with awning (always had tents before) so good to have a flat area to practise on.
Site is on top of a hill, and can get windy, we followed the neighbours lead and tethered our awning down well. The hedges and general layout of the site reduce the effects of the wind though so no complaints - everything stayed nicely put.
The showers were immaculate - and there are 5 laid out like you might expect in an ensuite bathroom of a B&B. Always clean when we used them.
The nearest pub (left from the entrance) seemed closed every time we tried to get there, but there is a fantastic pub down some narrow country lanes about 10 mins drive from the site, in Waytown, left out campsite entrance, left into Camesworth Lane (before Melpash), and right at the end of the lane.
We didn't eat in the on-site restaurant but had a night-cap before heading to bed. Very useful though if you don't feel like driving or cooking in the evening.
Staff were friendly and helpful, despite being busy on the bank holiday weekend.
Only one issue that was quickly resolved by the helpful staff. We arrived back in the evening having been out for the day to discover our electric hookup point had been taken by someone else (they aren't labelled for a given pitch) and our cable wasn't long enough to reach a spare socket on a different unit. So we rang the bell (as reception had shut), and within 5 minutes staff had provided us with a long extension cable and we were all hooked up again. So it might be wise to take a long power cable.

This is a fabulous site. We chose it as we wanted a quiet adults only site and were not disappointed.
The facilities were clean and well appointed. The site was pretty busy when we visited, but we rarely had to queue for them.
Our pitch was well spaced from the neighbouring pitches and the grass was well looked after. With all of last year's rain, we had to park our car at the top of the slope so as to not ruin the grass, but the owners were happy for us to drive down to unload and load. There are lovely views from the top of the site and when we next visit will ask for a pitch at the top.
It would be helpful for the owners to designate a freezer for tent users only; the freezer was always full to the brim with food and we were therefore unable to use it to re-freeze our icepacks. This is my only real criticism as it would have made it difficult for us had we stayed longer than 3 nights.
There are so many stunning beaches to discover nearby and was easy to get to Lyme Regis and Sidmouth which are lovely seaside resorts.
It is the most expensive site we have stayed at, but it was worth it and we plan to visit again this year.

Bingham’s Farm is an adults only caravan site which is extremely easy to find, being 2 – 3 miles north of Bridport on the left of the A3066. Having driven around one of the fields you arrive at the Reception on the left. This is a small room in a large converted farm building that also houses the launderette, toilets, showers and restaurant/bar/takeaway. The person in reception explains all the facilities on site including the free use of the fridge and the microwave, and you are then shown to your pitch by one of the staff. Everyone here is very friendly.
We chose one of the fully serviced pitches (electricity, water, and waste water) of which there are 10 onsite. All of these and most of the normal pitches in the main area of the campsite are hardstanding on gravel/stones. I’m not a great fan of this type of pitch as it makes pushing the van by hand and setting up awnings quite an ordeal. Even the motormover struggled a bit to move the caravan! I can understand having a few hardstanding pitches for winter use but I do think a caravan park looks nicer with more grass areas. My wife said that it looked like we were pitching in a car park, which is a bit unfair but I know what she means. Some of the hardstandings are even situated so that you have to drive over grass to get to them – to my mind this makes them absolutely pointless.
There are grassy pitches at Bingham’s Farm. These are mainly situated on a slope in another part of the park. It is here that you will find a super-sized dog walk area that is very good indeed, and its no wonder that many owners do seem to bring their dogs with them to Bingham’s Farm.
The pitches generally are not overly large, indeed some are quite small, but as this site is likely to appeal mainly to couples this shouldn’t be a problem. Some pitches are separated by small hedges, but some have no separation at all and could do with a bit more privacy.
The toilets and showers here have won many awards over the years and it is easy to see why as they tick many of the right boxes. There is a separate gents and ladies room each containing 2 (gents) or 3 (ladies) toilets, 2 conventional showers, and a few basins. The gents also contains 2 urinals, one of which is set up at the right height for a 5 year old which is a bit surprising as this is an adults only site. There are also 5 separate unisex shower rooms. These all contain a domestic style glass shower, a basin and all but one have a toilet as well. I don’t really understand why they have done this because unless you are trying to cater for them being used by a Russian Circus Acrobat Group then the chances are the toilet will not be used at the same time as the shower. This wouldn’t be a problem except that at peak times I suspect the facilities may get a bit stretched for the number of people that will be on site and separate facilities would give more flexibility.
Another slight problem they have is with the hot water. It takes an age for it to come through. The site is obviously aware of this as they have posted signs all around the washing facilities concerning this. These state that they have new boilers that are state-of-the-art technology but unfortunately have to be attached to the outside of the wall and therefore the pipe run to the basins and showers is a long way, and to please allow one minute for the hot water. This doesn’t wash with me. I don’t want to wait for up to a minute to receive state-of-the-art hot water, I would be just as happy with normal low tech hot water as long as it was quicker. To make matters worse these 3 boilers and the 12 large gas cylinders (which are tied together below them) spoil the look of the outside of the building. I suspect that they haven’t got room in the building for conventional heating but it is a shame.
The good news, however, is that these facilities are kept spotlessly clean and fresh smelling and the separate showers look like what you might have at home, and work brilliantly (once the hot water arrives, of course).
The chemical disposal point is separate from this main building, and is excellent, one of the best I have seen. It is easy to use and keep clean and it also has a dispenser on the wall for hand cleaner. I have never seen this before and it is such a good idea.
Also excellent is the onsite restaurant (Buzzards). This is situated upstairs above the toilets and reception room. The food here is really good. My wife and I had a meal here one evening and it was without doubt the best we have ever had, not just on a campsite, but the best meal we have ever had anywhere. Everything was cooked to perfection. The taste of the meal and the vegetables complimented each other. It was just simply perfect. And it wasn’t that expensive either. The room is not too large so will get busy in peak season. You really must book and give it a try.
Bingham’s Farm is set in a good area for tourism. There are numerous attractions and other things to do within a reasonable distance. For the record, we went to the Water Gardens (near Weymouth), Perry’s Cider Farm Museum, The Terracotta Warriors Museum in Dorchester, and the Seaton tramway. Just one thing to note about Seaton is the ridiculous car parking arrangements. The car park is split into Short Stay and Long Stay (> 3hrs), so choose which you want and park appropriately. Now look at the tariffs – they are identical! Next work out how long you want to stay – most car parks charge by the hour, half day, or full day – but not in Seaton. Here the charge is 50p for the first 30 minutes and then 10p for every seven minutes after that. Try working out in your head how much 2 hours will cost you. Do it now. Not easy is it?
Can you just imagine the chaos in the summer and queues that there will be at the ticket machines? It beggars belief who comes up with something like this.
Anyway, another thing that you can do in the area is visit the various beaches. There are lots to choose from, although some are quite tricky to get to down narrow lanes. In my opinion the best one is at West Bay, which also happens to be the closest. It is simple to get to, there is a sandy beach for those who like sand, a shingle beach for those who like shingle, a harbour with boats, shops, pubs and restaurants. And, best of all, some of the car parks are only £1. All day for £1 - take note Seaton. There will be no queues at these car parks.
Another thing the area is good for is walking. There are a couple of circular routes that start just outside the site. We didn’t try these so I have no idea what they are like or how long they are. We went on a couple of walks along the coastal path which we got off a web-site (www.Walks4softies.Co.Uk). These explain the route using maps and small photographs and are dead easy to follow. Download them before you leave home. They are not as easy as the name suggests though, but they are fun.
To recap – if you fancy visiting an Adults Only campsite in the Dorset / Devon area then Bingham’s Farm should certainly be on your short list. And if you do decide to visit then a meal at the Buzzards Restaurant onsite is a must.

This site is little piece of heaven in a busy world. Very peaceful by virtue of the fact that it is over 18's only and this peace is not even spoilt by the presence of a small bar and restaurant. The food is a very high quality and they have special evenings which are good value.
The site is maintained to a very high standard by the team of very friendly and helpful staff.
The facilities are of a very good standard and are kept very clean. The 'rainstorm' showers are brilliant.
There is so much walking to do locally that you don't even need to drive out the site but if you do the walks along the stretches of coastal path are fantastic.
If you are staying on the hard standing pitches make sure to bring Rock Pegs and a metal hammer as some of them are hard.

A very pleasant and well kept site . The shower block is very clean and warm.The restaurant served great food and you got plenty of it for a fair price. The owners and staff are very helpful. We had (ehu) so you were at the top of the field and also had a good view of surrounding area. We will be going again.

We stayed for 5 nights in June 2006 (when we were very lucky with the weather) and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. As others have mentioned the shower block is first class and kept to a high standard.
We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and found it to be very good.
Our tent was on the camping field and we had lovely views from there. We have electrics for the tent and that was not a problem but not all pitches had hook-ups so it could be more of a problem if the site is full.
We tried one local pub but it was quite a walk and initially difficult to find even though we had a map.
The site is a little pricey but we are used to French off season prices which are a lot cheaper then here and invariably better facilities.
All in all however a very nice site and we would visit it again.
