Just returned from 3 nights on the superb site.
Great facilities, as commented upon by previous reviewers and we were not disappointed. Wonderful views across the Brit Valley from one of the many terraces.
We can certainly recommend the Buzzards restaurant but as we were accompanied by 2 dogs we had to make do with 'takeaway', which was extremely well presented. I recommend the West Bay Salad!
Some really good walks from the site and we commend the 2 miles to the Fox and Hounds at Waytown (nearest pub to River Cottage). But only if you can manage numerous stiles! There the welcome was very warm and the food excellent.

We had a fantastic weekend at Bingham Grange, the site was quiet and really tidy. The individual shower rooms were great. Nice to have an adults only site as although we love having our grandchildren to stay it's nice to be kids free sometimes. The grounds were immaculate and restaurant looks really inviting even though we only had a drink at the bar but we will certainly use the restaurant next time. We will definitely be going back really soon.

What an excellent site Bingham Grange is. I can't fault it. Great pitches that are screened off with tall shrubs and flower beds, so you aren't overlooking your neighbours. Friendly staff. Nice little shop that stocks a variety of goods. You can order a newspaper too. There is a restaurant / bar on site called 'The Buzzards' There are two walk in shower rooms and several en suite style shower rooms that were beautifully clean. The dog walks are fantastic and not only for canines either. Despite the cold weather my partner and Pip our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this site to any campers.

Great site - one of the best we have been on - especially the facilities which are second to none. Cannot fault it really but there are one or two very minor points:
1. There is a lot of signage around the site. Its informative but may be a little over the top.
2. The restaurant has good reviews but I was disappointed when we ate there as they didn't appear to understand that a pie should have at least one crust cooked with the pie! A minor problem but worth noting all the same.
The site itself is just off the main Beaminster road which has no footpaths and you should NOT attempt to walk into Bridport along it. Buses are infrequent and sometimes don't run according to the timetable.
Bridport itself is about a 50 minute walk away across fields and along a minor road (stop for a drink at the Pycombe Inn as it has a nice pint of St Austel beer)and the food looked good as well but we didn't sample it. Bridport is a nice town with a good market on a Saturday and all the facilities you would expect in a town its size.
West Bay is another 45 minutes walk from Bridport. Lovely beach and cliff walks. If you want to eat there are plenty of places. However, I wouldn't buy fish and chips at Rachel's as you may have to wait half an hour to get very greasy fish and rather tasteless chips. Their other food did look good though.
A walk to Waytown from the site (well signposted) takes you through stunning scenery by the river. One of the nicest walks we have done for a long time. Try the pub (Hare and Hounds). Very friendly, nice pint a lovely food from a wide menu.
We will certainly return.

This site is superb, excellent facilities, quiet, beautiful layout of pitches, spotlessly clean showers and toilets, friendly staff and plumbed water within easy reach of pitches. We didn’t use the laundry facilities but we can see one possible black mark as there is only one washing machine and tumble dryer. We didn’t use the on site restaurant and bar as we prefer to cater for ourselves but the smell of the food being cooked was very tempting. The shop on site offers a limited selection of essentials but as there is a major supermarket five minutes drive away in Bridport (open late) this is not really a problem. The shop does offer free range duck and chicken eggs from a flock on site.
We are definitely interested in making a return visit as this was our first every camping trip and think that we have been spoilt as we think that no other campsite will live up to the standards set by Bingham Grange.

Facilities eg: toilets, showers excellent - could do with more.
Pitch very exposed on grass at top of a hill although other pitches on the site were better laid out.
No shops etc within walking range therefore needed to go by car everywhere.
Restaurant on the site was excellent providing value for money very tasty, well presented meals.

This is an adults only site and is one of the best we have ever stayed at the toilet shower facilities are superb with pipping hot water and spotlessly clean, they are large and also have wash basin and toilet within each unit local produce ie eggs vegetables etc are on sale at the shop/reception and were lovely, the restaurant is wonderful reasonably priced and excellent quality food and service. The pitches are large well spaced and screened all with hook up and hard standings. Car hire is also available with you being collected from the site taken to the hire company and the car collected from the site at the end of hire at a discount arranged by the site.

WOW! Simply the best kept campsite I have visited so far. The owners of this campsite have gone out of their way to make the site clean, attractive and user friendly.
The first impression is the immaculately manicured grounds. The reception building has a very small shop, an information room housing leaflets and information on places of interest etc and there are two shower rooms which include a toilet and sink to the front of the premises.
There is also a disabled room available. To the rear of the block there is a more traditional toilet/shower block. These blocks/rooms are kept incredibly clean and fragrant and a mop and bucket is even provided should there be a build up of water on the floor.
There are dog walking paths which are clearly marked which we enjoyed even though we didn't have our dog with us! There is a restaurant open on some evenings but due to eating out we didn't try it.
The site is approximately 4 miles outside of Bridport and there are no shops/pubs within walking distance, and the A3066 from the camp has no footpath on either side, so this should be borne in mind. Overall a wonderful site!

We have just returned from a week long break here. It is a superb site! Toilet block was always very clean with unlimited hot water. Even though the weather was extremely wet for all but one of the 7 days we were there, the floors were still clean. There is also 2 separate, what I would call bathrooms apart from the 2 male and female shower blocks. These two rooms are large and equipped with a toilet and shower that is nearly a wet room in size. These were obviously fairly new and were the equivalent of what you may find in a high class hotel! Very impressive with their slate tiled floors and nice fittings.
Everyone was very friendly here, special mention should be given to the two ladies I spoke to in the small on-site shop, who were both helpful and very bubbly! Now to the on site restaurant, I've been to my fare share of restaurants in my time but I have to say that this one was one of the best I've been to in recent years, the food was simply gorgeous. We used the restaurant twice and couldn't fault it in any way and it was very good value. You must have a meal there if that's all you do.
We have 2 dogs and the dog walks are very good, its certainly a very dog friendly site with some wood chip paths and a large field that could perhaps do with a cut due to very long grass.
The only small gripe I have and I'm being real picky is that maybe the pitches are a little close together and hemmed in but this by no means detracted from our stay. Overall, an excellent stay, Would certainly go back.

Stayed for three nights in the wettest June on record but so glad we found this site.
This is without doubt the best site we have ever visited.
The site is exceptionally well maintained and you can see the effort the staff put in to keep it spotless. Pitches are large and sheltered and once the surrounding shrubs have matured will be perfect. The dog walk is fantastic and a great addition to the site giving you easy access to a large field, woodland walk and grassed areas. There are three types of showers the first the traditional shower block, the second individual shower / loos - these easily compare to a B&B and then you have the two wet rooms! You would be forgiven for thinking you were in a 5 star hotel - they are that good!
The site shop is small but has the essentials. We didn't use the restaurant as you cannot take the dog.
Great location for exploring the area and will definitely be back as this is child free bliss
