We originally stayed here in May 2013 and liked it enough to go back in September. The site is well laid out, very tidy and well maintained and the facilities are good with several private shower rooms, 2 luxury shower rooms and shower cubicles in the communal facilities. We didn't use the washing up facilities but they looked clean and well kept.
On of the things that attracted us to this park was the on site restaurant. It does a reasonable range of pub type food and has a bar - most of the area is restaurant tables but there are a few at the end if you only want a drink. There's not much choice for vegetarians, which is a shame but something I've become used to!
There is a little shop which sells essentials like milk and bread, but you'd need to go to the local town if you wanted much more. There are also plenty of water and grey waste points and the site is well laid out so that even though there are a lot of pitches, it never felt crowded.
There's a lovely dog walk, which is all enclosed so you can let your dogs run free, which includes access to a shallow river if your fur friend is also a water baby. You can go down in to the woods, or along a grassy path, or you can stick to the bark chipping paths, depending on your preferences. There are tie out points outside the shop and restaurant and there's always a bowl of water outside the shop if your friend is thirsty after his walk.
The staff were all polite, professional and friendly and we'd definitely go back.

Spent a lovely week here when the weather was hot, site is well maintained, the grounds man always doing something to keep the site neat and tidy. The little shop has the essentials you need like milk bread newspapers etc. Showers and toilets are kept spotless, never a queue to use them, plenty of hot water for the showers. There are 5 showers that both men and women can use plus separate showers and toilets for men and women on the other side of the building plus two wet rooms. The restaurant was lovely, food was extremely good with large portions and very well priced. The drinks were very well priced as well, they were much dearer prices in the bars in the towns. Washing up facilities were good, two indoors and two outdoors, again never a queue. Would definitely return if ever down that way, the site is very peaceful and friendly.

We used Bingham Grange for a one night stop over when we added an extra day to our last trip. Booked that day, before we left home, and were lucky enough to nab the last pitch! We were pre-warned that the pitch was small but OK for one night (on arrival it was fine, after I had worried that we may not fit on it!).
On arrival we were booked in quickly and given all the information about the site, then taken to our pitch by the friendly owner/warden. As stated before the pitch was big enough for our 25ft motorhome and was hardstanding, hedged and very private. The whole site was immaculate and peaceful (the joys of adults only sites).
The central block houses the reception and shop (with a few essentials and daily newspapers - no need to order), toilets with 2 showers at the rear, shower rooms at the front (a bit dated but clean) and 2 fabulous new wet rooms at the rear that would not be out of place in a 5* hotel. There's also an under cover washing up area with 2 sinks at the side near the bins.
The dog walks on and off site are great apparently but our 13 year old boy sadly can't manage much these days so we didn't get to check them out.
The best thing about the site (for us!) was Buzzards bar and restaurant. Housed above all the facilities. A few tables outside but plenty inside. Good choice of 'local' beer and cider and a great menu. Portions were large, not expensive and service was excellent.
A lovely peaceful adults only site that we will definitely return to.

We stayed at Bingham Grange for the first time last weekend and were well impressed. We found the site in the Tranquil Book and not having screaming brats running around is a real bonus! We were on pitch T16 which was grassed, very sunny and a lovely size considering we have a 6 man Vango Airbeam, still more than enough room for the car and to sit out. The staff all appeared to be friendly and welcoming and we were showed to our pitch.
Our only concern on the day of arrival was the tent behind us had their music rather loud although at the 11pm curfew all went quiet. The ladies next to us had complained but were told the two families come regularly every year, no excuse really. We don’t mind people talking and laughing that is normal but the music was a little off putting especially if you wanted to sit out, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet a tranquil site should offer.
We had a wander around the site and further down the pitches are among the trees, we did notice that not all pitches have electric hook up. If you have a dog there is a dog walking area but on the site they have to be on leads at all times which is excellent. The shop is small but has essentials.
The shower and toilet blocks are very well kept and the two unisex showers at the back of the main block are a lovely size with stone floors, very modern. The unisex ones at the front are clean but a little rough round the edges especially the shower cubicle itself. Only thing I did not see on the website is that you have to pay 20p to use the hairdryer not a problem at all but would have been good to know before heading off to dry my hair! I had used one of the unisex shower cubicles.
One real luxury not seen before on a campsite that we have used before is Buzzards the on site restaurant. So worth a visit, the menu is varied and the portions are very generous. Would certainly use again on a return visit. You don’t need to book except for Sunday lunch. It was open on Friday when we were there but I believe there are days during the week when it is not.
We got a taxi into Bridport that cost us £7. 00 then walked the couple of miles to West Bay. Unless you walk across the fields there is no way you could walk from the site to where the path starts, the mile or so is a very busy road and there is not grass verge to walk on. There are numbers of local taxi firms in the well informed information room.
Would certainly recommend and we would return as in a lovely part of England

Only came back from Bingham Grange today, absolutely loved it!
Lovely surrounding area with nice special walk on site for dog owners.
Toilets were really spot on and lovely and clean. Showers were clean as well. Everything well maintained.
Staff were friendly and helpful showed us to our pitch and helped us to park caravan.
Nice little shop on site. Went to Buzzards bar last night for a drink very nice as well.
Will be going back again soon and will recommend to friends and family.

We used this site on spec as a stopover for one night only. Nice welcome & we were able to choose our own pitch.
Facilities are amazing probably the best we've ever seen. Good recycling points.
Pitches are private with lots of trees & bushes separating them.
Our only comment would be that pitches without electric are quite a way from the toilet block which was fine for one night but think it would be a struggle for a week.
Close to the nice town of Bridport which had a good market on & plenty of cafes

I am going to start this review with the negatives we found from camping in a tent point of view. It won`t take long as it was a superb site. Main beef was only one inside sink to do washing up in, there was another sink indoors but was for hand washing clothes which we never saw anyone use. That said there were 2 outside sinks under cover as well. The tumble dryer in the laundry costs a fortune as it was set on a low heat setting for safety reasons we were told. So I feel you should have got longer than ten minutes for 50p. That's all we found on the negative side.
Now the plus side. The grass pitch with electric we had was flat and well cared for. When I posted some pictures on the UKCampsite.co.uk Forum of the grass pitches an experienced fellow camper posted they were the best he had seen and added the site to his list. Shower blocks were very good and with the addition of two new large shower rooms you had the choice of very good to top notch.
There`s a small shop that sells your basics and some nice little extras, you can also buy your wi fi conection here. We found the staff polite helpful and got the impression they would do any thing they could to help you if they could. It`s an Adult Only site which suited us. Quiet after 11pm was expected and we found everyone seemed to comply.
But the thing that stood out for us was the restaurant bar. The food was superb again the staff were really friendly and the price was very reasonable and then no driving back. We didn`t have a dog but plenty did and there was plenty of places to walk them. If you like walking there`s lots of walks from short to long whichever suits you.
Overall We would highly recommend Bingham Grange

We visited Bingham Grange for a quick weekend break in June. The site is simply superb! It is setup and maintained to a very high standard - from the approach into the site you start to get a feeling that this is a well groomed site!
Highlights for us:-
1. Nice size pitches, with hedging to most to provide privacy
2. The shower rooms incorporate a sink and toilet so give a private bathroom experience which is a refreshing experience. There are also two newer wet rooms which wouldn't be out of place in a high end hotel
3. The bar and restaurant are well located in the centre of the site and provide a great break from having to cook yourself. The food exceeded our expectations and both our meals were excellent and great value for money.
4. The dog walk area runs around the lower end of the park and has wood chip covered paths and if your dog (like ours) needs more there is a a set of adjoining fields that can be used.
5. We received a nice welcome and clear introduction to the sites facilities.
6. Great walk from the site to Bridport across 3 fields on public footpaths - around 40-60 mins depending on pace.
We didn't find any negatives and really can't wait to return ASAP.

On Tuesday morning we left a superb site in the New Forest to drive over 60 miles to stay at Bingham Grange, We were on our way home and detoured there purely because it advertised a Restaurant, Bar & Take away. So disappointing to find it didn't exist on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but you don't find out until you get there. No apology, just advised that the chef didn't work those days.
Good size pitch allocated and was shown to its location by friendly staff. All facilities were explained and identified before we were left to enjoy the site. Views excellent and the dog walks were adequate for a 13 year old. (dog that is, not me). The whole site was found to be clean, neat and tidy.
The shower rooms were clean and tidy but the shower water control system means that you have to suffer a cold shower when you first turn on the flow and either exit and stand outside the cubicle or suffer the cold until you can adjust the temperature.
The last observation is the cost of the WiFi at £5 a day I think is somewhat steep in this day and age as it costs nothing to run after the initial setup.
Would probably visit again but will telephone and ask all the questions first.

Lovely, beautiful well cared for site where they can't do enough for you. The serviced pitches are top notch and the dog walks are just brilliant.
We tried the take away from the bar the first night ( but having been inside the bar we wanted to stay in there as it was so cosy but we have the dogs ) and ordered the steak. Best take away meal from a Camp site to date. We would very highly recommend this site.
