Fantastic site. Wife and I had a great two weeks here. Met some friendly people and almost everyone seemed to have a dog or two - felt jealous - without a pet.
The two new huge shower rooms are fantastic, beyond anything else seen at any other site ever visited. The friendly lady in reception said they'd blow us away and she wasn't wrong! They have to be seen/experienced to be believed.
Usually avoiding sites with their own bars, must say this was a really good facility, as no pubs in close walking distance and meant neither of us had to drive. All three meals we had in the 'Buzzards Bar' were superb and good value.
All wardens/staff met always greeted with a smile.
Very peaceful at night and great sunsets in the valley view side. The better side in my opinion, although all facilities then uphill but useful for slightly reducing all those calories piled on in the restaurant.
Feel we will be back again next year as now child has grown up, we feel we've had our time with family sites, Adult only makes it very relaxing.
No negatives at all, just don't tell everyone!
Dorset is a fantastic county, not over-touristy like Cornwall, but fantastic scenery either way from Bridport. Just more sun, less sea-fog less cloud, would have made in perfect, but this is Britain, and in the wettest early summer ever, we didn't fare too bad, unlike the week later when Bridport became flooded!

Lovely site and well looked after. It was quite windy when we went and it was nice to see our new tent stood the test.
Location is great and the main town is a short drive away providing most things that you want or need. There is a lovely Chinese takeaway in the town.
Pleasant staff and lovely food. Shower rooms were very good and no problem with hot water.
Nice enclosure for walking the dog and a good policy that they should be on a lead at all times.
We will book again.

Just home from a week in Binghams Grange with friends. As previously mentioned this is an adults only site, a dog lovers paradise with one of the best dog walks we have come across.
Booking was easy with emails and phone calls being returned quickly. On arrival you have a warm welcome and are shown to your pitch. The site is spotless, the gardens are meticulously tended, and most of the pitches are surrounded by mature hedges. The pitches are level and well drained. The bathroom facilities gives you the choice of a small bathrooms, with toilet, washbasin and shower in each room, Two impressive wet rooms, and a male and female toilet block with the usual toilet, wash area ans showers. All are spotless with plentiful hot water.
On the site there is a shop which has the usual provisions, Buzzards restaurant was excellent we would recommend the Sunday Dinners and found the evening meals to be delicious and good value for money.
Locally there is a lot to see, Weymouth, Dorchester are within an hours drive. Bridport is five minutes drive away, it has a great street market on Wednesday's and Saturday's, but get there early to park. There are three supermarkets, we found the morrisons the better value. Try the Ropemakers arms in the town for a great glass of cider and a cracking meal, again competitively priced. West Bay just outside Bridport had the best fish and chips we have ever had. Sherbourne and Lyme Regis were well worth visiting but Crewkerne had little to offer.
The local beaches seem to have areas that allow dogs throughout the year and this information is available at every resort. But as previously mentioned the dog walk on Binghams is great, grass and bark paths. These lead down to the river Brid that the dogs can swim in. Leading from the dog walk is a number of footpaths which take you through the local country side which is stunning. Our dogs loved it.
All in all it's hard to find fault with Binghams Grange, if I had to nit pick I would suggest that the recycling be more equally laid out and clearly labelled. Also that the bottom gate of the dog walk is not dog proof with our large Labrador getting easily underneath it into the neighbouring field. This could have dreadful consequences if there were live stock in the adjoining fields. During our visit there weren't. The site is split into two areas, the lower area had areas for tents and the pitches seemed more spacious that the top site where we were, on times this felt a little crowded.
However we loved the site, the area and would return and would recommend it highly.

Superbly-run medium-sized campsite for adults only. Everything is well organised and perfect. Providing you get there by 5:30pm there are several members of staff very willing to help.
It costs £2 more than average per day, but worth it. The almost-level gravel-based pitches are close and regimented with no views but privacy is OK because of hedges planted either side of some of the pitches (including ours). Try to ask for a pitch at the Valley View part of the site which has open views—but might not be for tourers
The toilet block is legendary for facilities and cleanliness; I seemed to be alone in not enjoying it — the fold-down seat that you use for dressing being immediately outside the shower so you cannot help but change in a puddle of water. The fixed shower head vertically above you so difficult to rinse off the neither regions. But worst of all the showers have only one control - that doubles up as volume and temperature. So when you switch on/off you get a blast of cold water from the fixed-head shower.
The woodland walk is small but just right for a stroll. Nature lovers will appreciate the carpet of wild garlic and bluebells in May.
A bus calls at the campsite entrance four times a day and will take you into Bridport (recommend), Beaminster, Crewkerne and Yeovil.

This was our first camping trip, we chose Binghams because it was child-free and dog friendly.
As it was our first trip, we didn't know what to expect from the facilities - I have to say they were excellent. The toilet and shower blocks were very clean, with hot water and plenty of room.
There are two new, luxurious shower rooms which could easily rival those of a hotel. Not surprisingly they were very popular (the site was full when we visited) so you did need to queue for them, but the other showers in the slightly older block were more than adequate and no queues or a very short wait to use.
The pitches are level and grassed, and private. The surroundings are beautiful, the dog walk is quite short, but passes by a stream and gives access to public footpaths.
The only negative was that the bar didn't allow dogs, which seemed strange on a 'dog friendly' site. There was a tiny outside area under a flight of steps where you could sit and have a drink with your dog, but it was a bit dark and dingy, especially in driving rain!
However I recommend The Hare and Hounds pub in Waytown, about a miles walk away across fields-very dog friendly and lovely food.

We chose Bingham Grange because it was adult only and our visit would be over a weekend. The facilities were excellent and the site is well cared for. There are nice walks by the river which is accessed from the site. We didn't use the bar/restaurant but our neighbours said it was very good.
Despite all the good points, we left disappointed because we and others were kept awake by the noise made by a group of people sat in a gazebo talking till 12. 30am although rules state no noise after 11. 30pm.

I chose this site as our first trip on returning to camping after 37 years – and based my decision on ukcampsite reviews. We were a little unsure what to expect as camping has changed dramatically since we last camped. What a great site! The whole site is spotlessly clean, litter free and exceptionally well maintained. We were given a choice of pitches with some friendly pointers as to the pros and cons of each one.
There are two toilet/shower blocks – one block consists of five shower rooms, all containing a shower cubicle, seat, wash-hand basin and a toilet (apart from one which has no toilet. ) The other toilet block contains (in the ladies) two showers and four toilets. Each block has mats to wipe your feet on entry and mop & bucket to mop the floor after showering. I think that when owners go to the trouble to provide cleaning aids, people tend to use them and both blocks were always clean and a joy to use.
The site is continually being developed and the pitch we used had been recently developed with trees planted around it. The pitch was practically level and generous in size and we were able to park our car next to the pitch on gravel. The site is continually being maintained by the very friendly staff.
The site is very peaceful even though a large number of visitors had dogs with them – there were no problems. We had Sunday lunch in the on-site Buzzards Bar which was good quality and a fair price.
There is an on site shop which sells a few essentials and has gas changing facilities. However the site is only 3 miles away from Bridport with 4 supermarkets – as mentioned by a previous reviewer.
Would definitely return here.

Perfectly situated for exploring the West Dorset coast, Bingham Grange is always a treat to visit.
The facilities are first class- clean and spacious - and the additional convenience of the Buzzards bar and restaurant make this the perfect getaway. We had several delicious meals at a reasonable price and it certainly beats cooking in the van !
Nearby Burton Bradstock and the Hive Beach Cafe and National Trust area make a nice day out as do Lyme Regis and Westbay.
The area is motorhome friendly with designated parking.
One of our favourite sites!

Just returned from a week at Bingham Grange. The site is excellent and the shower facilities are superb and only had to queue once. We didn't realise that tents were allowed, and they can be noisy as they do not have the solidity of a caravan, but there was no noise from them at all. We used the restaurant for a take-away and our meal was excellent and very large portions.
The site is obviously being developed and will be stunning when all the trees have grown. One reviewer has mentioned television noise and we heard it as well and yes, it was Carnival weekend and you could hear music, but that is only to be expected.
We visited Bridport (used park and ride at West Bay), Lyme Regis, Dorchester and Forde Abbey; we had glorious weather, which is always a bonus.
There is a Co-Op supermarket nearby and a large Morrisons just outside Bridport. Cheapest petrol at the moment is Morrisons.
This is a lovely site and we would recommend it, but would suggest that whoever is on 'duty' at night, has a walk around after 'lights-out' and has a word with whoever is making any noise.
Just one more thing, approach from A35 if possible as coming in from the North there are narrow places in villages.

Bingham Grange is a superb adults only site for those looking for a peaceful haven in beautiful countryside. The facilities are immaculate, and the site is kept in tip top condition by the staff.
There is currently some building work going on, so do be careful where you’re pitched as there is a house being built/renovated, and we noticed tents pitched within just a few metres of the noise and dust. The staff were all very friendly, and explained things efficiently. There are lots of rules here, but I think it’s what makes it such a well kept site. It’s expensive (£24 per night) for a tent with EHU, but for us, worth it because it was just what we were looking for.
We did hear the barking from the kennels a couple of fields away, but nothing we found hard too cope with. They did bark at night but not for long.
The layout is fantastic.
The owners have worked hard to make a sloping field into nicely stepped, spacious, flat pitches, some with beautiful views. We had a flat pitch on one of the higher ‘steps’. Pegging was so easy compared to some of the rocky sites we’ve tried. Each pitch is 9m by 9m – a generous space, with newly planted trees and shrubs surrounding it.
We heard that the restaurant on site was excellent, although we didn't use it ourselves.
We could access Weymouth, West Bay and Lyme Regis easily, and had some lovely days out. I would highly recommend this site.
We struck lucky when we found it.
